Property had everything we needed with a nice welcome pack and a fabulous view. The location was great and we visited Portmeirion, zip world in Snowdonia, Llangollen for canoeing and whitewater kayaking all less than an hour away. Would highly recommend this property.

Just the two of us stayed here for a romantic weekend away for my 60th. Lovely house, great hosts, thoughtful touches. We were a bit taken by surprise when we arrived and realised what we thought was the garage was actually another holiday let as we'd purposely booked somewhere private. However we weren't disturbed at all by the other guests so it wasn't an issue.

The property was lovely, the location was good. Aled was a very good host ,and told us lots of places to go and see. plenty of parking for 4 cars. The beds were extremely comfortable, but the wardrobe downstairs , the drawer was broken. The hot tub was lovely.The only criticism was the house wasn't very clean ,and lots of dead flies and cobwebs. But I understand the host had a family bereavement, so that probably explains that. overall we had a lovely time ,would definitely go back again and woul recommend.

The host, Aled, communicated very well with us before and during our stay. He went over and above to make sure everything went well for us. There was a lovely food basket waiting for us too. We’ve really enjoyed our stay- thank you very much!

The cottage is lovely and homely in an amazing location! Close to many other parts of Wales to explore. The owners are lovely people. So glad we booked here.

Aled was very repsonsive to messages and gave us lots of good tips of places to visit, and how to get there too. House was very warm (we were there in October) and really well equipt kitchen with sharp cooking knives (usually blunt in rentals so this was a bonus), and lovely bedding. Slept very well.

Lovely, well maintained and comfortable property in a quiet village giving us the full “country” experience. Relaxing in the hot tub on mornings and evenings with views of the valley was amazing. Good quality beds and bedding in all rooms made for a relaxing visit with everyone in the family enjoying a good nights sleep each night. Good pubs and food available in nearby villages within short (20 min) drives. Lots of interesting places to visit in local area. Would visit again in the future.

Really lovely, clean, comfortable, well appointed, spacious cottage in a fantastic location. The owners obviously take great care of the property and were very accommodating when we needed to change our dates at short notice. We’ve had a wonderful few days!!

A beautiful house

Such a beautiful place to stay with stunning views, surrounded by wildlife. The house is superb and Aled is such a wonderful host, even going to the trouble of swapping his hot tub as ours broke before we arrived! Plenty of places to visit nearby, Bala is an excellent place to spend some time. We would definitely book this house again.

Lovely relaxing time

Spent 3 nights over new year at the cottage.Had a lovely time and visited Llangollen only 30 mins ways forNew Year’s Day. Aled was very helpful as usual.

A lovely property, with brilliant views across the fields. Good communication, well equipped and lovely welcome basket. Hot tub a lovely extra, making it a wonderful stay. No pubs in walking distance, as the closest one mentioned has closed down. Has been closed for at least a couple years.

Exceeded Our Expectations!

Our stay at this property was truly amazing—far beyond what we had anticipated. The space was abundant, giving everyone plenty of room to relax and enjoy. The garden was absolutely beautiful, providing a serene and picturesque setting throughout our visit. And of course, the highlight was the jacuzzi, which added that extra touch of luxury to our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be happy to come back in the future! Thank you so much. Angelina, Family and Friends

Beautiful views

If countryside views are your thing then this is the place for you. Uninterrupted views across the valley showing off the best Wales has to offer. The accommodation itself is of good standard with a good kitchen and utility, and a spacious conservatory to enjoy the views over breakfast or dinner, (only negatives are; the 2nd shower room is very small, no King beds, bbq is old and small). The owner Aled is as friendly and helpful as possible without being at all intrusive, a perfect host. He rebuilt this old cottage himself and much love has gone into it. It’s remote but the local shop with essentials is only a 10 min walk away and Aled is only a phone call away if you have questions. If quietness and views are what you seek I can highly recommend this place and Aled as a host.

Unclean

We arrived and the place was not clean. The bedding was stained. The pillows felt like they were 10 years old. The hot tub did not work properly and the children went in only to find glass in there. We didn’t even stay the night went straight home.

We do not routinely reply to reviews; but in this case feel we have to. We take comments very seriously, and are concerned and disappointed with your comments. We have had hundreds of happy customers stay with us over the years, and have never encountered any such criticism previously. Our cleaning team work to a high standard, and the property is always inspected prior to guests arrival. Bedding is freshly laundered for each changeover (this goes without saying) Pillows are changed each season (Dorma forever full) The hot tub is drained, and filled at each changeover, and is checked each morning during stays. We provide plastic glasses for use in and around the hot tub, and instructions are fixed to the front panel, below the controls. Your comments directly contradict those of the guests who preceeded you, and those who came immediately after. Both of whom commented how enjoyable the hot tub was, and how they had enjoyed their stay (both 5*)

Beautiful countryside stay with great amenities We had a lovely family stay at this farmhouse-style holiday home. The views from the property are amazing – lots of greenery all around, and we especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub in the evenings. The garden area is spacious and perfect for kids to run around. Parking was easy, and there’s just a short 1-minute drive from a small road to the main road which made it super convenient.One of our favourite spots was the conservatory – sipping coffee there in the morning with the view was just perfect. There's also a grill area which is great for BBQ nights, and overall the place felt very family-friendly with lots of space indoors and outside.Only thing to note is that the cleanliness could be better – we did notice some bugs and spiders, which is probably normal for countryside farm-style homes, but it can be a bit scary for little kids. If cleanliness is improved, this place would easily be a 5-star stay.The host was extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. He explained everything clearly when we arrived and checked in to make sure we were comfortable. Even his dog Daisy was really friendly and added a warm, homely feeling to the whole stay. It really made the experience feel personal and pleasant.Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful countryside break with great views and family-friendly vibes. Overall a relaxing and enjoyable experience!

Peace and quiet

Lovely house, only minor issues that can be resolved very easily. basic needs ie toilet roll holders, dressing table with chair and a bin in all bedrooms.

Gorgeous holiday let in beautiful surroundings

The house was perfect, exactly as shown and the location was beautiful. We have a nervous dog and stayed here with my husbands parents and brother, the house was perfect, a bedroom downstairs and a lovely sitting room where our dog could sit with us without being in the middle of everyone. Had loads of lovely walks n went to a local restaurant which was delicious. Hot tub also a bonus. Met Al who provided lots of walks for us to try, very friendly. Would definitely recommend. Thanks

Excellent little corner of paradise

Myself and 6 friends (& our dog) rented this cottage for a weekend of gaming together. It's in a super quiet location with unbelievable views. The local village down the road is a lovely sunny walk, and you can get a supermarket delivery for your food shopping. The welcome basket was a nice tough, & the hot tub is the icing on the cake! We had a brilliant time and will deffo book again in the future. Thankyou so much for giving us the perfect spot for our mini holiday!

Beautiful location and cottage

It’s was our second visit to the cottage and it’s still 5 star the view is breathtaking. A large cottage that is spotless with a lovely hot tub with amazing views. We all loved every minute there and Aled was always available if needed. Would highly recommend a stay at the cottage

Wonderful weekend

We had the best weekend staying in property. The views are simply amazing, the house was very comfortable and clean. The host was so helpful. We all wanted to stay longer and not go back to Essex. The hot tub was just an added bonus. Highly recommend this property.

Tyn y Ffridd Getaway

Tyn y Ffridd was just as described on the website. It provided a comfortable, rural getaway for our group of friends. There were a couple of minor issues, such as a temperamental kettle, slightly uninviting outdoor furniture cushions and a lack of hot water at one point, but overall we had a fantastic stay. The hot tub was great and the large conservatory, with its big dining table and stunning views, gave us a wonderful, communal dining area. I'd definitely recommend it!
