The "Podere Gianmaria" is in a slightly elevated position, with a wonderful view of the sea to the south and the countryside to the north. The large field in front of the house reaches the first houses of a residential area of Castiglioncello, on the other 3 sides there is a 10 hectare land cultivated with olive trees. The apartment occupies part of the ground floor and first floor of the farm, is furnished with antique family furniture and has terracotta floors and ceilings with wooden beams, the living room overlooks a large lawn with a wonderful sea view.
Spread over two levels, it has an oven, dishwasher and washing machine, the large lawn partially covered by the pergola is equipped with table, chairs, there are also deck chairs and sun bed for sunbathing. The rooms have a connection to the TV antenna.
It takes twenty minutes on foot to get to the sea, shops, bars and restaurants. From the entrance gate, located on the border with one of the residential areas and a few steps from the town, an avenue of cypresses leads to the house, just over a hundred meters are enough to find you immersed in the quiet of the Tuscan countryside. For lovers of trekking and bike rides, the opportunity to discover the countless paths immersed in the green of the "Tuscan scrub" that from the farm reach the neighboring villages and characteristic places of the surrounding countryside.
It is possible to take walks along the sea on the "sea walk" which from the port of Rosignano reaches Punta Righini.
From Rosignano Solvay a cycle path starts that reaches the White beaches, crosses the pine forest of Cecina Mare and leads up to the fort of Bibbona.
From Castiglioncello in a short time you can reach: Pisa Km 45, Lucca Km 70, Florence Km 110, Siena Km 105
Also within 50 km. you can visit Volterra 50 km, Bolgheri 30 km, Castagneto Carducci 38 km, Suvereto 55 km, and other characteristic villages of the Tuscan hinterland, a few more kilometers and you arrive in Massa Marittima 85 km, San Gimignano 70 km. And again: the wine route, the archaeological sites (Barratti and Populonia), the natural parks with their beautiful pine forests that reach the sea. In summer there are many opportunities to taste the typical dishes of Tuscan cuisine by participating in the festivals that are organized in neighboring countries.
From the ports along the coast or from Livorno you can reach the islands of the Tuscan archipelago: Elba, Giglio, Giannutri, Pianosa and Capraia.
