Self-catering studio holiday apartment to let in a quiet suburb of La Rochelle, 15 mins leisurely walk from the stunning city centre, and 2 mins from local shops and cafes. The studio (approx 14m2) is in very pleasant surroundings, and forms part of a brand new residence known as "La Residence du Petit Puits". This is a homely base from which to explore this thriving and beautiful town without the hefty hotel charges. It can comfortably sleep up a couple who are happy to have less space inside in exchange for the use of the Residence’s communal facilities – the attractive gardens and the very popular swimming pool (Please note: the swimming pool is open from the end of May to mid September. If you’d like to check the specific dates it will be open against the dates of your stay, please get in touch). La Rochelle is the most attractive city on the West Coast of France. The Charente Maritime area, like the Vendee, enjoys a 'micro-climate' of temperatures similar to those on the South Coast of France.

The interior is roughly 14m2 in size, and is basically an attractive sitting room containing a double sofa bed with an adjoining shower room and a kitchenette in one corner.

The kitchenette has a 2 ring electric hob, fridge/freezer, microwave/oven combi, full range of cooking and dining wares and cutlery.

There is parking within the grounds for 1 vehicle although most guests choose for ease to park (for free) out in the road where there are always spaces and where it is perfectly secure to leave a vehicle. In the residence, there is an attractive garden with room to sit and enjoy the almost perennial sunshine.
Brand new shopping centre with quality and discount supermarkets as well as bakeries just 5 minutes' walk away, and a new Bio organic food shop directly across the road.

Bus lines 11 (https://yelo.agglo-larochelle.fr/bus/lignes-horaires/-/horaires-bus/ligne/periode-scolaire/23706) and 6 (https://yelo.agglo-larochelle.fr/bus/lignes-horaires/-/horaires-bus/ligne/periode-scolaire/23702) stop directly next to the Residence. It takes 5 minutes to get to the Place de Verdun in the centre of La Rochelle (it takes about 20 minutes by foot for the same trip). The bus stop is "La Vallée". For cycle paths, they exist everywhere in La Rochelle. Here is a map of the bike trails on which I marked the location of our Residence with a small red star.
