After a sabbatical year with third party management, the governance of the historic owners of Villa Mariella Pittorino returns, who take over the management with renewed enthusiasm, having carried out a partial restoration in the garden with the creation of a round gazebo with a seating area and a restoration on the floor land to the two accommodations: SLIEMA (one-blue and two-room blue) and MEDINA (one-green and two-room green).
Historic home, maximum tranquility, friendly and familiar welcome, are the main features of Villa Mariella Pittorino, located in Leni, the only district of the island of Salina remained intact, anchored to the rhythms, calm and original silences of the island: a mule track, pedestrian only, completely paved, leads in 20 minutes to the sea of Rinella, the only sand basin of the whole island, a seaside village, also very authentic, which preserves traces of the passage of actors of the caliber of Anna Magnani and Rossano Brazzi from film "Vulcano", shot there in the 1940s. Alternatively, there is the local bus that runs every 55 minutes from Rinella beach to Piazzetta Pittorino, behind which the structure is located, and vice versa, taking the panoramic / provincial road for 2.8 km.
Villa Mariella Pittorino is located in the center of Piazza Pittorino, in Leni, from the name of the statue placed there, which represents the grandfather of the current owner. It consists of a building dating back to the end of the 1700s, rich in historical evidence and consists of two floors: on the first floor, guests stay for the High Quality B&B, in the "Padronale" and "Giuliana" rooms.

A distance of about 900 meters on foot separates "Villa Mariella" from the hydrofoil port, also located in Rinella, from where numerous daily trips connect Salina to the other six islands of the Archipelago, as well as to Reggio Calabria, Messina, Palermo and Milazzo.
