This A-frame house features a full kitchen with bar seating and lounging area with large open windows. Two main floor bedrooms both feature queen beds. A full bath also located on the main floor. Up the spiral staircase is a loft that has 3 queen beds and a twin bed for 7 more guests. Down the spiral staircase is another living room area with laundry access and a second full bath. There is a large deck for gatherings and yard to play.

Great space and location for our family. The refrigerator needs the inside cleaned (See attached photo). Also recommend the mattresses and pillows to be replaced.

Family Vacation

Our family loves this house even for the second time. It fit us all perfectly with the loft upstairs to fit all the kids and 2 bedrooms for the adults to sleep. The neighborhood is all very friendly and no problems with loudness. It was a family vacation we definitely enjoyed and didn’t have to worry about the house.

Perfect for family vacation

We really enjoyed the house. It made us really feel we were staying in a lake house. The kids enjoyed the loft upstairs because they could all hangout together. They also got their own space in the basement area and their own outside hang out area. Will keep this place in mind for the future.

Simple but what we needed

Easy check in and allowed for late check out. Loved the baby gates for the stairs. Good AC. Simple and basic but perfect for a weekend at the lake.

Great Getaway

The home has a well stocked kitchen with all of the supplies needed for cooking a great family meal or with friends. Very clean and just a short five minute drive to Orleans Trail Marina. Plenty of space to park a boat trailer twenty six feet or maybe a little larger. Definitely rent again!

It was ok

Beautiful area. The home was dirty. All dishes needed to be scrubbed didnt really wanna use them. It smelt like sewage the whole time. The home is a bit old. Didn't expecty that from the listing.

Family Vaca 2019

We had to clean everything when we arrived, but it was cozy and had a working ac for top and bottom area. The binder was very helpful and the neighbors are friendly. We had a large group with all our kids and everyone had enough room to be comfortable. We hope to be back for the next several years with our same group! Thanks for the use of your hideaway.

Amazing!!

The home was everything I expected. It was great to be able to stay close to the lake and still have the comforts of a home. The loft was super warm but other than that everything was great. Our stay at the lake was great just wish our boat would have cooperated. I have been going to Stockton since I was a little girl. This chance to stay in a home made the lake that much more enjoyable. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Just as described

This house was clean, AC was cold, it had all the things we needed and was a step back in time for the adults and alot of what in the heck is that for the kids! It worked perfect for two boat captains/anglers and four anglers. If you want new and fancy this is not your place. If you don't mind a work in progress that is being updated a little at a time and is comfortable - stay here you won't be disappointed.

Scary, Outdated and Gross

While the owner was very friendly, it appears, through our interaction and my short notice booking of the property, it was definitely not as seemingly clean as in the pictures. At 11 pm, I tried to find the house with my Aunt. There are a few houses that resemble the rental property very closely and as I was struggling to find the house, one of the neighbors came out and was watching our every move. The street was dark and the area kind of sketchy, so it was a little uncomfortable. Eventually he yelled that we were on someone's private property, so I asked about the address of the rental. He told me it was a little further down the dark street. With no lights on, I got out with my flashlight and attempted to find the lock box. I didn't have instructions as to where it would be, so I was poking around for a bit (looking suspicious I'm sure). I headed up the stairs to the deck in order to try the doors up there. After traversing animal poop and one or two slightly broken steps, I tried the first door which appeared to be punched through. No lockbox. Tried the second door, which had a big deadbolt on it and still no lockbox. Finally, I found the lockbox on the third door and opened the door to be greeted with extremely hot, moldy smelling air. It was 93 degrees in the house because the AC had been left off. The second thing that greeted me were wasps that were flying around inside. There were some moths too, but the wasps really got to me. I turned on some lights and took note of the extremely gross, outdated carpet with holes burnt into it. Looked in the refrigerator to find some old spills and someone else's condiments from who knows when. The floorboard was warped and it was so hot and moldy smelling in there, we definitely did not feel comfortable sleeping there. After surveying the rest of the main floor, we decided that wasps, moldy air and 93 degrees was a little too much for us, so we turned around and headed back to The Cabins at Stockton Lake, where I woke my family from their sleep at 12:30 a.m. to let me in. I did not stay at the property for the remainder of the weekend. I'm sure that for some men on a fishing trip, it would be fine. However, I think that in order to market this property to a wider spectrum of renters, there needs to be some serious updating and cleaning done. Wasps are not fun to sleep with. I won't be asking for my money back because I would say it is not inhabitable, but I definitely would not recommend.

I am so sorry you did not enjoy your stay, or actually end up staying there at all. We have updated the carpet that had some worn (not burn) spots. The house does get warm, and that is something we are working to update, as well as outdoor lighting. Thanks!

Great place

Just a ten minute drive to Orleans Trail Marina. Well equipped kitchen and lots of room for the kids. Needs some updating, but the price reflects that. I’d definitely book it again!

Not happy

There was a ton of ants all over they completely invaded our space and got all over our food and clothes and we had to get rid of most of our food because there were ants all over!!! Extremely upset

Felisha, I am so sorry there were so many ants! They have been awful this year, and we have sprayed several times inside and out trying combat them. Again, sorry they invaded so badly during your stay, I thought the situation had improved.

Lots of space and beds. Total 70s decor which was fun. Battled flys and ants in the kitchen.

Renting was easy. And clear instructions. The second bathroom is in the basement and is under construction but should be nice when it’s finished. Overall we had a good time.

Great family vaca

We had a large group of family for the extended weekend, and the house was perfect. They had a baby gates to protect the spiral staircases and we utilized them. That is such a nice touch! Thank you for that. We used the deck and grill a lot, we LOVED the deck! Everyone had a great time.
