Dear Gregor, It's strange you complain now because you didn't mention any of these concerns during your stay. I understand that everyone has different expectations but it seems that yours are extremely high, certainly much higher than those of any of the guests who have stayed at The View over the last decade. You complain about the price after asking for a discount which I gave you and then you paid even less than what was due. You arrived two hours before the agreed check-in time (let me remind you that this is not a hotel) and we accommodated you in the swimming pool. You didn't pay for the chair you broke which we had bought one month before your arrival (and we used when we stayed at our place one week before). The car is needed to discover all the terrific beaches of Chia but there is also one at 700 meters from the apartment. There are also some groceries around 4-5 km from the house but of course the car is needed to reach them. All this information is provided in the infosheet prior to arrival. I would also like to mention that you smoked inside the apartment (which smelled of smoke) which is completely forbidden, there is the terrace to smoke if necessary. The bathroom was flooded when you left and both the sinks were clogged. The cleaning staff was shocked at the state of the property after your departure, telling us they never found it in such a filthy state before. We have never asked for any money to our guests when they broke something so I'm more than happy if they take pictures of the house. I apologise if we like having books at home, and are sure that other guests would rather have those than a TV in a beach home. I'm sorry if you didn't find the apartment up to your expectations but seeing the damage you've done, we deeply regret having accepted you as our guest.

Étant donné que vous étiez nos tout premiers hôtes de la saison, il est tout à fait normal que la maison ait pu donner une sensation de « fermé » à votre arrivée — c’est simplement le propre d’une maison qui rouvre après l’hiver. Concernant le confort : nous essayons toujours de satisfaire nos hôtes, comme nous l’avons fait en acceptant votre demande de check-out tardif. Si vous aviez eu besoin d’un oreiller supplémentaire, d’une taie ou d’une couverture, il nous aurait suffi de le savoir pour vous en apporter immédiatement. Il en va de même pour le chauffe-eau — nous sommes toujours disponibles pour résoudre ce type de problème, encore faut-il nous en informer. Nous souhaitons également souligner que le prix proposé est particulièrement avantageux pour l’une des plus belles zones côtières d’Italie, et que la maison, bien que simple dans tout le nécessaire pour un séjour agréable. Nous rappelons aussi qu’il y a bien deux cafetières moka à disposition. Nous espérons avoir l’occasion de vous accueillir à nouveau. Merci et à bientôt !
