Bright and Spacious! Just Steps To The Beach!

HappyHour Barbados is located in Maxwell Park, Christ Church. This quiet, safe, family friendly neighbourhood is approximately 15 minutes from the airport and is located just off the main road with easy access to public transit.

Just a two minute walk to one of Barbados most beautiful white sandy beaches and, a short 10 minute walk is Oistins Fish Market (home of the famous fish fry). There is a grocery store, gas station; bank with ATM, a good selection of restaurants, and bars just under a five minute walk. If you are looking for nightlife then St. Lawrence Gap is definitely the place for you! Here you will find more great restaurants, bars and even a little karaoke. Come enjoy everything the Caribbean has to offer!

The main level apartment has its own separate entrance, offers lots of sunlight, a refreshing breeze and is bright, crisp and clean.

The beautiful, large kitchen features all the conveniences of home with full sized stainless steel appliances, professional grade cookware, stunning granite counter tops and plenty of counter space. The hand crafted dining room table seats eight with additional seating at the breakfast bar. The spacious living room includes a 55 inch flat screen TV with cable, along with a stereo and an iPod doc, perfect for unwinding after a hard day at the beach. Or if you choose, relax on the private patio and enjoy an ice cold beer or tasty Barbados rum while grilling on the built in charcoal bbq as you take in the Caribbean sunset.

There are three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The master suite has a king size bed with a stunning ensuite that features an impressive nine foot glass walk-in shower, tile throughout, beautiful large vanity with granite countertop. The second bedroom has plenty of room as well the option of two twin beds or a king size bed, as you wish. The lovely third bedroom is also a good size and has a queen size bed. All three bedrooms are complete with remote controlled air-conditioners for your convenience. The additional main bathroom has a large vanity with granite countertop, and walk in shower.

This spacious apartment sleeps six guests comfortably.

Barbados vacation

The house was in nice condition, three bedrooms and2 bathrooms. It is ideal for two couples. I wish the whole house had a/c, Barbados is always 30 degrees, but the bedrooms have a/c.

Thank you for your feedback. Our listing advertises that only the three bedrooms are air conditioned. To keep HappyHour as energy efficient and affordable as possible we have chosen not to cool the large open living/dining/kitchen. Just trying to keep HappyHour as eco friendly as possible! The beautiful warm temperature is one of the many things we love about Barbados!

Loved the space and location

My family of 5 loves to visit Barbados and we have stayed in hotels in the past. This time we sought after a house for additional space and wanted an ideal location. This house had ample amount of space, modern furnishings and was convenient to restaurants and the beaches. We stayed on the bottom level which sleeps up to 6 people and used the patio area to eat and socialize with friends. The owners made sure we had everything we needed. We highly recommend it!

Excellent Choice

Happy Hour was the perfect location for our family. We didn’t want to feel like tourists so was looking for something that would help us have a true island experience. The location was perfect. I agree with the other reviewers about the dishwasher but it wasn’t that big of a deal. My only suggestion would be an a/c unit in the living room. It gets very warm. The units in the bedroom were awesome. We enjoyed evenings on the patio, the grill and snorkeling equipment. We were within walking distance to Oistens which is a definite vacation experience. Would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at the residence in June 2018. The neighborhood was very nice. The house was as advertised. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Plenty of towels and sheets were provided. We were within walking distance of several restaurants and a grocery store. We were also within walking distance of the local bus line which allowed us to access many points on the island. We were able to take the bus to downtown Bridgeton and shop. We were also able to go to the Ostins fish fry which had locally prepared and very tasty fresh fish. We were also able to take a bus to the St. Lawrence gap where again we had many beautiful beaches and fabulous restaurants to visit. I would highly recommend this house if you are planning to visit Barbados.

Beautiful house in residential area

Clean house, great outdoor area with constant breeze, close to bus stop allowing easy access to various beaches or travel to Bridgetown. Owners are wonderful people who truly care about providing a relaxing spot for their guests!

The Happy Hour Villa has everything a family needs.

This is a fantastic property. It has all the amenities, very quiet neighborhood, close to the beach and to night life if you so choose. The outdoor patio is a great place to spend your evening. Barbados is an awesome destination

Most delightful! Definite gem!

My friends and I stayed here during Cropover . First and foremost much thanks to Stacie and Collin for taking what some may deem a risk in renting their place to crop over partiers. Thank you guys! There was constant communication between us and they were most responsive to my silly questions. We were in the 2 bedroom upstairs apartment which was outfitted with everything we could ever need! We were indeed pleasantly surprised. It was apparent that they thought to provide everything someone on an island vacation could possibly need! The location is great as it is within walking distance of small shops and you can easily take the $2 maxis to Oistins or the supermarket if you dont feel like walking. The grounds are well maintained and cleaning services were provided during our stay. The neighbour Mr. Allan even provided some transportation services, which we definitely appreciated. I highly and without reservation recommend this place for any family or group of friends vacationing in Barbados. It is a true gem!!!!

Great vacation

Happy Hour was perfect for our family. Good size so we were not stepping over each other. And it is very near to activities or to pick up a ride somewhere else. Plenty to do or just relax. Loved it!

Awesome stay at Happy Hour

My husband and I along with another couple planned a trip to Barbados for the first time and found the Happy Hour which checked off all of the boxes on our must have form. The only thing missing was a dishwasher which I didn't even notice was missing until I read the review from Alison W. I simply packed a pair of rubber gloves for washing dishes (who wants dishpan hands on vacation?) and enjoyed every minute of our vacation. The bedrooms have air conditioning units that work amazingly, sleeping is very comfortable. As electricity is very expensive in Barbados we turned off the A/C units when leaving the house every morning and I kept the bedroom door shut so it wouldn't heat up in the bedroom, the A/C units worked very quickly. From my very first enquiry on the property Stacie was quick to respond and answered all of my questions and any subsequent questions that I thought of in the months leading up to our stay. Stacie made the experience seamless and once we got to the Happy Hour we were all very pleased with the property, especially since some properties don't look quite like the pictures, however this one lives up to the photos and was very clean and comfortable. Stacie and Colin have done a wonderful job with decorating the property and the outside patio was indeed a wonderful addition to the home. It was used every morning and evening and has a nice breeze through that area at all times, which made sitting outside enjoyable. The property is less than a two minute walk to a small beach however the minivan buses run every few minutes and we tried out many different beaches, Miami Beach (we went 3 times) was only about a 5 or 6 minute bus ride away (plus 5 minute walk) and Dover Beach was about a 7 or 8 minute bus ride and approx 10 minute walk - beautiful. We really enjoyed the beach right before the Boatyard, found it a few days before leaving or else would have gone there more often (went twice) there is a beach bar called Doris' , the folks there are wonderful. As timing would have it both Stacie and Collin were able to make it to Barbados and we had the good fortune of meeting these two wonderful people. We have made lifetime friends!! I would highly recommend the property! Best trip ever, from lucking out with the Happy Hour to the friendliness of the locals, feeling safe to travel on the bus alone and of course the many places to choose for Happy Hour (Cocktail Kitchen in St. Lawrence Gap on the top patio was our favourite).

Well appointed house split into two apartments

Having been to Barbados many times we were aware of the location and choose to stay here as it's in an area we know well, close to good friends. Before going Stacie was speedy in answering any questions also arranging for us to see the main ground floor apartment on a trip to the island earlier in 2016. On arrival Stacie visited to make sure everything was to our satisfaction and was quick to respond to any emails, also leaving phone contact details We'd chosen the downstairs for its outside patio area including a built in barbecue and were pleased with the standard of the accommodation. The kitchen was well fitted with quality appliances, only slight drawback was no dishwasher. All three bedrooms were well finished and in good condition, one with a large ensuite bathroom. Within the apartment was a safe and chairs, parasol and quilted beachmat for those all important lazy sunny days on the beach - only suggestion would be a cool box . The location is two minutes from the main road with easy access to public transport for visits to Oistins, Bridgetown and even direct buses to Speightstown via Holetown if required. From personal choice we'd hired a car to allow us to travel at our leisure but not a necessity. The smaller upstairs apartment had the sun on its balcony later into the evening - great if you enjoy a chilled wine or banks watching the sunset. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this quality accommodation

Great modern clean space!

Our stay at Happy Hour was great. It accommodated our group of five adults and 2 children perfectly. The large kitchen and charcoal BBQ were worked well for making dinners and the large dinning room table and living room area made for comfortable evenings. The location was a short walk to a lovely beach and right between Oistins and The Gap which was great for us. Stacie and Collin were extremely helpful and prompt in all their responses. Highly recommend!

Lovely Home, Great Time!

The Happy Hour property is lovely with contemporary finishings and many amenities. Large bedrooms, comfy beds, ample cooking space and an awesome covered outdoor lounge space made it the perfect home away from home! My group of girlfriends went for a cultural festival and our wonderful housing made our stay all the more enjoyable. I interacted with Stacie several times in the months that elapsed between booking and our arrival and she was more than accommodating to my requests and questions. Jennifer, the lovely housekeeper greeted us on arrival and made sure that we settled in well. Overall, an amazing time! We can't wait to return!!

We loved it!

Everything was great at Happy Hour Barbados! The house is beautifully furnished, very clean and well kept and has a well equipped kitchen for those days we stayed in and cooked the different types of fish we got at the nearby fish market. The yard was so comfortable and relaxing! The beach is so close and transportation is easily accessible and can take you to all the great sites! We absolutely loved it and will definatley go back!

Paradise in Barbados

This will be our 2nd year back to Happy Hours Barbados. Overall, this rental worked perfect for us and our extended family. It is very near to the beach and all amenities are in a short walking distance, we also found the neighbourhood to be safe and friendly which makes it perfect. There are many beaches where you can swim and snorkeled at your leisure. The water is crystal clear and clean with a sandy bottom. The newly renovated house is spectacular, it includes new bathrooms, spacious and clean. There is a large spacious and a beautiful kitchen with all stainless steal appliances, washer & dryer along with walkout to the patio & built-in BBQ . There air conditioners in the 3 bedrooms which worked well for cooling and drying the air for sleeping. The beds are very comfortable and there were plenty of sheets and towels. During our extended stays a housekeeper was provided weekly. The exterior part of the house is very inviting, the warm buttery yellow blends in well with the beautifully maintained gardens which is enclosed with a privacy gate. After each day of touring around the island, we were always looking forward to coming back to the house and relax in the outdoor patio. We would recommend renting a car as it is fun to travel all over the island seeing different sites and areas. It also makes it a bit easier for groceries, although there are shuttles that will take you to and from the grocery stores. During our stay, we often visited beaches in Bridgetown, our favorite was Copacabana Beach Bar & Grill! Carlisle Bay in Bridgetown in our favorite! There are many local veggie markets and several restaurants which are fabulous! If you want luxury accommodations, this is the place for you. If you want to experience the real Barbados from a more local perspective, this is a great rental for family & friends.

Always Happy Hour at Happy Hour Barbados

This place by far the best place we've ever rented, and we've rented a lot of places all over the world! First off, the location is awesome. A block from an idyllic beach (I think it's called Maxwell, literally 2 minutes), walking distance to Oistens (fish market, food stands, grocery store) walking distance or short ride to St Lawrence Gap (restaurants/night life central), and walking distance to several good local restaurants (Charlie's, Butterfly, Roti Hut). A car is not necessary at all unless you want to explore the rest of the beautiful island further (Recommended! Go get lost!) Secondly, this is not your typical cheapo rental. All of the finishings and touches are far beyond what a typical rental offers, a fully equipped kitchen is ACTUALLY a fully equipped kitchen with quality dishes, pots and pans, appliances, etc. You aren't 'making do' using a soup ladle to scramble your eggs in a rusty wok. The furnishings have obviously cost the owners good money and are all well maintained, and bathroom fixtures are all high end (Koehler, Groehe, etc). This is actually a premium property, and the owners pride is evident. Thirdly, the owners were absolutely awesome to deal with. All correspondence was very prompt, Stacie and Collin are super easy going and really nice people who genuinely wanted us to have a good experience. They had the place spotless for our arrival, and we appreciated them checking in with us after our arrival to make sure everything was ok, if anything was lacking (which they said they would rectify immediately if required), or we had any other questions or needed any suggestions, about the island, grocery stores, beaches, etc. Apparently they have done much of the renovations and finishing themselves and as previously said, their pride of ownership is everywhere. Lastly, the house itself, it's layout and space, is great and suited our needs perfectly (2 couples and a single). We really liked the bbq/grill (a real bbq, not a half broken cheapo like most rentals!) and outdoor space, we spent most of our time there. A nice place to relax and have 'Happy Hour' on the covered patio (again equipped with high end furnishings). Would totally recommend this place and look forward to staying there again soon (we made sure to book again for next year before we even left!). This is really good bang for your buck in Barbados. Our only complaint is that we had to leave.

We recently returned from our second stay at this property. Excellent location, short walk to the beach. Oistens and grocery store within walking distance. Beautiful property, quiet location, with everything you need, home from home.
