2 bedroom apartment with beautiful views

I am very disappointed to read this review for several reasons: Firstly, I take pride in my home in Edinburgh and in being a good host, I consider my job to make everyone happy who stays at my flat and I am proud to say that I have 100's of 5* reviews across several platforms that make me confident that this is actually being achieved. These reviews show that my flat is a great place to stay and that I am doing a good job as host. That being said, I am disappointed that John’s group did not feel this was the case for their stay. Secondly, I do not accept John’s account of the issues encountered: Regarding mice, I have a contract with a professional Pest Control company that makes visits throughout the year to ensure I don't have any issues - they reported to me after visiting the flat (at John's request) on May 11th that there was no signs of recent activity. In their opinion if there were any sightings it was likely a fly-by visit looking for food and perhaps due to some food that was left on the counter - this, unfortunately, happens occasionally in older buildings in Edinburgh, and for that matter around the world - after the visit the company confirmed there are no mice living in the flat. After John complained about the duvet I immediately ordered a new one for next day delivery, strangely this package was found by my cleaner unopened 2 weeks later after John's departure - I can only conclude that there was no issue with the existing duvet since they continued to use it. The cooking sheets were indeed in need of replacement which I have now done – If I had known about the issue I would have been happy to order an immediate replacement. The bed mattress is in good shape and does not sag as reported - the issue was that the bed had been moved and the supports under the bedframe were dislodged and not supporting the bed as designed causing the sag, again I could have corrected this if I had been informed. – this issue is now fixed by moving the bed 2 feet to the original spot. As for the condition of the common stairwell, this is typical of tenement flats in Scotland - it is certainly safe and my neighbors are all lovely people, several with young children – no one in our neighborhood feels unsafe in any way. Communication with John was very challenging, many messages were unanswered and most issues he raised in the review were not raised with me to give me a chance to resolve them. Although this was a disappointing review, I am confident that my flat will continue to be enjoyed and reviewed 5* by future guests, my suggestion is that in the future John should consider staying in a different style of accommodation while traveling - perhaps stick to hotels.
