The principal bedroom has a 4 Poster King sized 1.5m x 2m bed and en suite bathroom with roll top bath: the second bedroom with antique 1.07m wide by 2m long twin beds and ensuite bathroom with large walk-in shower. The Apartment is surrounded by a very beautiful 2 acre garden.

On the ground floor there is a comfortable sitting room with a Clearview Wood Burning stove, television, the fully fitted Kitchen with electric cooker, dishwasher and dining area, and the utility room with washing machine.

Situated in a peaceful location within the beautiful grounds of a country house with private parking, 2 acres of gardens including a Rose Garden, Victorian Walled Kitchen Garden, lawns and herbaceous borders. It is surrounded by fields and orchards with views towards the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean.

The house has lots of character, very spacious, set in lovely gardens and surrounding area. Jennifer is an excellent host, she checked to make sure we were comfortable, nothing was too much trouble. The kitchen is very well equipped, the four poster bed very comfortable, we felt very much at home. It's in a very good location for Hereford, Ross on Wye, Monmouth and the beautiful Wye Valley. Fabulous pubs and eating places on the river Wye, The Saracens Head and Ye Olde Ferrie Inn to name a few. We enjoyed the quiet and peaceful setting during the very hot spell of weather. We highly recommend this house in the country for a very comfortable, peaceful stay.

A fantastic place to stay, with a friendly informative host.Just sad that we couldn’t stay longer.So many things to do and places to see near by.The property is beautifully presented in a country house style. With everything that is needed for a restful stay.Local pubs are within walking distance and offer good quality home cooked food.Just fantastic!!

Charming accommodations and beautiful gardens

We had a peaceful stay in the charming watchmaker’s cottage and enjoyed sitting in the amazing gardens. There are several beautiful gardens and parks to enjoy in the area. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful.

An absolute gem of a stay

The property was as advertised, with lovely suited interior design which was cosy and homely. Very well appointed kitchen, with everything provided for as required to cook a decent meal or even do a bit of baking. The owners were very friendly and welcoming, and could have not been more helpful. A great location with nearby places of interest to visit. Really loved our stay and highly recommend.

Tranquil stay in beautiful countryside.

I stayed with my mother for a therapeutic week of both rest and exploration, plenty of good walks and views as well as castles and rivers. The apartment is really lovely and very comfortable, the hosts warm and friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. You will feel like you have stumbled on a hidden gem , would definitely recommend.

We had such a lovely stay at Daffaluke and will definitely rerun if we visit the area again. The facilities were perfect, despite the heatwave (luckily we took fans with us). Kitchen is adequate and well stocked, the sitting room very cosy, the bedrooms superb. The gardens are lovely, I would have spent far more time there if it wasnt so hot. Everything you need for a long or short stay, I particularly enjoyed my four poster bed with the wonderful crisp bedding, and huge roll top bath, my best memory is leaning out of the window at midnight to enjoy the coolness and listen to the sheep all to one another, and hear the small things rustlng in the undergrowth. Daffaluke is in reach of pubs, shops and places like Tintern, Monmouth, Skenfrith, Ross on Wye if you require them. There were lots of books to choose from, a television in the sitting room and radio in the kitchen ( as well as cooker, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher and fully stocked utensil cupboard. I appreciated the green credentials, recycling instructions (once we found them) were clear and appreciated. The lane leading to the house was narrow but fun. Our host was waiting to greet us on arrival, despite the 32 degree heat and told us all we needed to know. we were sorry to have to leave a day early but it certainly had nothing to do with the venue which was absolutely wonderful. Thank you so much for being such kind hosts and for sharing your home with us. We very much hope to come back one day.

Lovely Accommodation

Beautiful accommodation, in lovely surroundings. The property owners were very welcoming & friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were spotless with every home comfort. The location is a little isolated, but this does add to its charm.

I booked property to be informed by the owner it was already rented! I was refunded a fraction of what I paid and now have to pursue both VRBO and the owner via the small claims court for recompense of my payment in full! Disgusting!

I refunded the cost of the holiday immediateley minus the booking fee that VRBO retained I understand that VRBO have now refunded this.

A beautiful house and wonderful hosts

We had a really great stay at Little Daffaluke, it had everything we needed, comfortable beds and even a stable to store our bikes in. It is about a 20min walk to the Yew Tree pub, which sells a wide range of ciders. There is lots to do nearby, including cycling in the Forset of Dean and canoeing on the Wye. The children also loved the bird of prey centre.

Wonderful

Everything was perfect, not sure what else to say really! Cosy, best bed ever, loads of hot water for shower, attention to detail in decor and equipment, huge towels, great location, lovely welcome, beautiful garden. List could go on.

Perfect get-away!

This is the most beautiful property to stay in. It is elegant but comfortable and in an incredibly peaceful setting. We loved walking in the amazing garden as well as watching the housemartins twittering around the eaves. It is very convenient for Ross-on-Wye and Ledbury as well as the glorious Herefordshire countryside. Jenny and Max are exceptional hosts and the apartment is equipped with everything you could possibly need. Will definitely book again!

Jenny’s beautiful country house apartment in Glewstone, near Ross-on-Wye, was by far the best place we stayed during our time in the UK. It was everything you would hope for in a traditional English countryside experience, peaceful, authentic, elegant, and incredibly welcoming.The property itself is absolutely stunning, with spacious, light-filled rooms, beautiful traditional English décor, cheerful coordinated colors, and a lovely sitting room with a gorgeous fireplace that made the entire place feel cozy and luxurious at the same time. Everything was immaculately clean and exceptionally well maintained. The linens, furnishings, and kitchenware all felt thoughtful and high quality.Jenny was an outstanding host from start to finish. Communication was excellent, and she was always available if we needed anything. Arriving to freshly prepared scones, tea, and thoughtful welcome touches made the experience feel especially personal and memorable.The grounds were equally breathtaking. The garden was full of beautiful flowers in bloom, including wisteria, tulips, lilac, and every color imaginable, all lovingly cared for. Looking out over the fields and seeing sheep with their lambs was such a peaceful and quintessentially English countryside experience. We even saw wild pheasants on the property.I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone wanting a truly authentic, beautiful, and comfortable countryside stay in England.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful garden

I thought I had already submitted a review, but here goes again. The apartment on the side of the house was comfortable and homely and beautifully set up. The garden is a plus and we were able to walk around it and sit in it when the weather permitted. Kitchen had everything we needed.Jenny and Max were welcoming and helpful but unobtrusive, perfect hosts really and I applaud their concern for the environment.

Charming, comfortable, cozy apartment for a relaxing break.

We all loved the apartment, 2 adults and 2 teens. All of the rooms were beautifully decorated and the kitchen was well equipped. There was room for us all to relax and have our own space and the living room was very cosy to spend time together. The wood burner was especially welcome as the weather outside was grey and dull and we came home wet. Jenny and Max were welcoming hosts and we had an easy drive to canoeing and walks. I would highly recommend this apartment for a break from the busyness of life.

New Year Hols

Approach road access very poor due to pot holes and farm traffic damage. Nice helpful welcome by hosts. Warm accommodation and plenty of hot water. Description of property didn't make it clear the accommodation was not on one level! A lovely time was had by all in the party.

Too brief stay near Ross-on-Wye

We stayed 4 nights at Little Daffaluke in May during gloriously sunny weather. The property, part of a country house, is set in a very rural area approached by narrow lanes. The perfect quiet spot.The accommodation is of superior quality with a wonderfully comfortable four poster bed. The remodel, by the hosts, is very nice and we enjoyed the size, even though only two of us stayed. Jenny and Max are very friendly owners.During our visit we explored, Ross, Monmouth and Ledbury as well as visiting Hampton Castle Garden. Our 3 days was not enough as there are an abundance of things to do in the area. Hopefully we will return and explore some more.

GORGEOUS - Perfect accommodation

We enjoyed a super week in this comfortable, spotlessly clean apartment. Quality appliances and fittings throughout. Very comfy beds (we stayed in the second bedroom which has two king singles - however, the main bedroom is beautiful). Very spacious and bright. Fabulous bathrooms. Quiet and Remote

The appartement was very nice and spacious, and very well maintained. The location is very 'remote' and access is via single lane country roads which are quite bumpy but this wasn't really a problem for us. It's worth noting that the stairs to the bedrooms are quite steep and there is no downstairs toilet. (might be useful information for people with mobility issues). Overall, a really nice break in a lovely location. The host was very helpful and knowledgeable.

GORGEOUS - PERFECT - WONDERFUL

This was our second visit. We loved it so much last year we had to return and we were so pleased we did. Such a wonderful location. The accommodation is simply super. Spotlessly clean, super comfortable beds, beautifully decorated, quality appliances and furnishings, huge bathrooms, everything you could want. Jenny and Max are perfect hosts and so generously encourage use of their spectacular garden. Very quite location with the benefit of good shopping in Ross on Wye only 7 minutes away. Sitting in the garden reading a book and listening to the birds is pretty hard to beat, but if you can drag yourself away, the Forest of Dean is very close with fabulous walks and river activities, then there's South Herefordshire Golf course 15 minutes away (one of the most beautiful courses in Britain and cheapest green fees!). Little Daffaluke is one of those places you never forget. A real holiday highlight. Can't wait to come back.

A real Jem set in beautiful countryside

We had a great time, the hosts were so friendly and welcoming, our stay exceeded our expectations and we couldn't have asked for more. Our little daughter wanted to write her review:" We had a lovely stay at the apartment. I enjoyed it because Jenny and Max were really nice and welcoming. Also seeing the sheep and playing in the gardens was really fun. We picked plums and figs every day and they were really sweet and juicy. The apartment has 2 single beds and I slept in one. It also has a really nice four poster bed which also was really nice and relaxing to sleep in. On some nights we went stargazing. I saw the big bear constellation and the milky way. The garden is really big, it is so nice to relax in. The apartment is not far from Ross on Wye town centre and the forest of Dean. Overall i think the apartment is a nice place to stay and i am definitely going there again."

Quiet hideaway

Payment to vrbo was the most difficult thing. Everything else was fine. Very helpful and friendly hosts.

What a delight.

Giving this property 5 stars due to the peaceful location, the high standards of the beautiful Victorian apartment and the friendliness of the owners. Use of their extensive gardens was very much appreciated too. Although I only cooked one meal during the week, I found the kitchen had everything to hand. To top it all we slept very well in comfortable, peaceful beds. Highly recommended.
