This second (top) floor luxurious, open and spacious beach-rustic Santa Monica loft is cool, cozy and well appointed. With 17 foot high ceilings at living area, wood floors throughout, modern furnishings, mosaic art mixed with rustic and beach design, and endless light, this unique home will truly make your vacation memorable. We just installed brand new air conditioning in the unit (December 2022). There is a unit in each bedroom and one in the loft area which cools the loft and main living space. Each unit has its own remote so you can be using one, two, or all three at a time. These units also work as heaters but we also have a wall unit in the main living area for heating as well. The air conditioning a a huge improvement and a wonderful new addition to the unit.
On the first level, the property features two bedrooms (one on suite master), two full baths, kitchen, dining area, living area and laundry (washer & dryer). Dream sweet dreams on the queen pillow top mattresses wrapped in soft and comfortable sheets and cozy duvets and pillows. A full closet, dresser and bedside table accompany each of the bedrooms. Bathrooms are equipped with cotton towels, custom mosaic tiling, and luxurious shower fixtures. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you'll need to be your own chef. Enjoy your home-cooked meal or take-away from any of the many diverse and prestigious local restaurants seated at the cozy dining room which seats 6-8. The open-concept living room features a super comfortable large couch, tucked under stairs and at easy reach are two large bean bags kids and adults can enjoy, a new 52" Sony Bravia flat screen TV with Roku to stream Netflix, Amazon Prime, live stream TV on hulu etc.
The second level features a separate loft overlooking the living space, with a 42" Sony flat screen TV and couch that pulls out into a queen bed. There is also a desk and chair set up for working purposes. The loft leads to your own expansive private roof-deck where you can lounge while enjoying our amazing weather and SM breezes.
Included in the home are high speed Wifi throughout, iron and ironing board, baby items such as a pack n play and high chair can be provided by request.
PARKING: You'll have a dedicated parking space in the underground secure parking garage. I may be able to accommodate two cars in the garage, however this is not guaranteed, so please ask if this is desired upon booking. There is a parking pass in unit to park another car on street 24/7 in front of building, however please read street signs to avoid parking tickets on street cleaning days. Parking is very easy on street and there is always plenty or space anytime of day.
You'll be close to all the Santa Monica attractions with easy access to the 10 and 405 freeways. The property is 10 blocks from the beach and a straight shot down to the famous Shutters and Casa Del Mar hotels. It’s a 15 minute walk to Santa Monica's Main Street, Promenade, Beach, Pier and Downtown Santa Monica. 1.4 miles to Montana Avenue, 2.5 miles to Venice Boardwalk, 3.9 miles to Marina del Rey, 7 miles to The Getty Museum, 7 miles to Beverly Hills, 12 miles to Hollywood, 16 miles to Universal Studios, and 42 miles to Disneyland.

Great place - Wonderful Stay
We stayed in Amanda's apartment for 2 1/2 months this past winter. Amanda is a very responsive host. She got back to us about every question very quickly. The apartment was well located for us, and it was exactly as described in the listing. It was within walking distance to the beach, Main Street and the 3rd Street Promenade, and everything Santa Monica has to offer. We would definitely stay there again!

Nice spacious apartment in downtown Santa Monica, CA
Apartment was spacious and clean. Upon arrival we had difficulty opening the door because the lock obviously should be replaced. Contacted the owner and she promptly responded but seemed to be aware of issue with the lock being tricky to open. Overall the apt looks exactly like the photos and is basically clean.
However, I'm a very meticulous person and the bathroom showers weren't quite up to my standard of clean. Some slight meldew on the wall of both shower walls that a through cleaning will remove. Two stained old throw rugs that irked my soul to the point that we had to shove them in a corner during our stay because I couldn't bear to walk on them. Also its time to replace that couch which has seen better days because its slouchly and lost its former shape now.
Yes, Santa Monica temperatures may be milder but this apt can get stuffy and the living area and master bedroom need a proper fan. Also, we would've liked to have televisions in the bedrooms, especially at this price point. Final note please make sure you adhere to the no parking signs posted and make use of the garage parking because I found out too late there is NO parking on the street on Friday for street cleaning. I had a $64.00 ticket on my windshield. I erroneously assumed the parking pass gave me the ok to park everyday.

Thank you for submitting the review of your stay. I take a huge amount of pride in my rentals and strive to make all my guests experiences top notch and 5*. This review is my first non 5* review out of 52 reviews of my properties. I’m very disheartened you didn’t feel your stay was 5* and I take your concerns very seriously. However I would like to address everything you said.
1. You are the first guest to have trouble with entry and the lock. However you may not be the last so I have changed the lock to keyless entry and this will prevent any further issues.
2. I am very sorry you saw slight mildew in the showers as that should have not been there. If you would have notified me of this I would have had my cleaners come clean the showers and baths thoroughly and remedied the issue immediately.
3. I am not sure if you mean bath mats when you state old throw rugs as I don’t have any throw rugs in the apartment. I would have replaced the bath mats immediately if you deemed them to be unacceptable. My cleaners remove any damaged or stained items and report to me during cleaning so I am very sorry you found damaged rugs.
4. I am very open to replacing furniture that is worn out as over time that of course happens. However this particular couch may be a matter of preference. I had a lady stay for 5 months from August to January prior to your stay and she states in her review it was one of the most comfortable couches she has ever sat on.
5. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan and there are multiple oscillating fans left throughout the living area of unit. Any of those can be taken to wherever deemed needed. There are also portable air conditioners in each bedroom that can be installed easily by my maintenance man if requested as stated in house manual.
6. I purposely do not have televisions in the bedrooms and it is not because of cost. I have a high definition TV in living room and one in loft area and that is stated clearly in my listing. I do not advertise TVs in the bedrooms in my listing and none are shown in pictures.
7. I’m very sorry you received a parking ticket on a street cleaning day. I have clear instructions in my welcome letter that the neighborhood has restricted parking on street cleaning days and to read the posted signs and park accordingly. You also had two reserved underground parking spots at your disposal during your stay.
Thank you again for your stay and your honest review. Although I don’t agree with much of it it is an opportunity for me to improve my rental and that is much appreciated!

Great place!
During my 5 week stay I really enjoyed my time here - the location was within walking distance to my favorite coffee shop (bodega), tons of great restaurants, and the santa monica beach. The apartment itself was well kept by Amanda and Ron and they were prompt to respond to any requests and questions I had. Would definitely stay here again!

Immaculate and spacious! Excellent!
Our experience far exceeded our expectations! We loved the immaculate, nicely decorated, well located and spacious vacation home. The location is in a quiet and safe neighborhood within a 15 minute walk or short drive to the Pier. We had everything we needed during our stay and the owners were very nice and responsive. I would highly recommend this well maintained condo to anyone visiting Santa Monica. We will definitely book again when our travels take us back to the area.

Beautiful, spacious property in a perfect location
I lived in this property for five months and would highly recommend it. The location is perfect, the beach is just a ten minute walk away, 3rd Street mall/promenade is also only 10/15 mins away on foot and I could walk to my office in Venice in under 30 mins. There’s also plenty of parking for those with cars. The apartment is light, airy and very spacious and is in great condition. The sofa is one of the most comfortable sofas I have ever sat on and the private roof deck is a real sun trap. The bathrooms are both really well equipped and everything you could possibly need for a long stay is provided. Amanda was wonderful to deal with and always replied to queries really fast. I loved living there and would highly recommend to any potential tenants.

Wonderful Long Stay
First of all, Amanda is so nice! She just had a baby, but still she was responsive to my every email and made sure that my family got into the apartment okay and that we had everything that we needed. My family stayed in this apartment for 6 weeks when we first moved to LA while we looked for a permanent place to live. The apartment is very attractive and had everything that we needed to be our first home. There is tons of storage and enough space for my family to be comfortable. The garage is secure and the apartment is so close to everything - we had a great time exploring all of Santa Monica. Thank you Amanda for making our first weeks in LA great!

Great house
Amanda and Ron are very nice people. The house is amazing at a reasonable price. It is clean, comfortable, neat and up-to-date.
It is close to everything and it has a nice parking place in a closed off garage. I had a marvelous time at the house and it felt like my own. So next time I will definitely try to stay at this house again if I'm ever in the neighborhood.

I have to first start by saying Amanda and Ron are AMAZING PEOPLE! This home was very comfortable and accommodating. Everything inside the home is up to date and gives off a beach feel. Beds are super comfy with soft, plump duvets. OMG my family and I LOVED this home, and it's because of this experience that we are MOVING to California. My daughter (4) enjoyed all of the games that have readily available. Everything was fun and great and I HIGHLY recommend this home. You will LOVE it. Santa Monica pier is a great place to visit and isn't far at all. Trader joes is near, Walgreens, 711& gas stations. Very convenient. Thanks again. We would love to stay again.

The BEST!!!
This is an absolutely fantastic rental. Our family of 6 stayed here for spring break. Our kids are ages 2-12. The pictures are great, but the condo is even more beautiful in person. Amanda and Ron were amazing at making sure we had everything we needed. 2 queen-size beds, a pull-out sofa bed, a large couch, and two huge bean bags could sleep even more than 6. Great location to get around LA. We visited Hollywood, LEGOLAND, Disneyland, Marina del Rey, Venice Beach, Santa Monica Pier, and WB Studios--the furthest drive was LEGOLAND which was about 1.5 hrs. Condo has board games, sand toys for the beach, beach towels, pack & play for infants/toddlers, a high chair, off street parking. I looked at a lot of rentals in Santa Monica and was getting very disheartened by the prices and quality of places...this condo is truly a gem! Highly recommended!
