Very comfortable, nice and peacefull house

We had great holidays this very pleasant house, quiet and very comfortable with a nice patio. The hosts are super nice and available for any questions. I fully recommand. Hosts are super easy to reach and available.

A delightful place to stay

This is a gorgeously renovated traditional village house. Everything was clean and comfortable. The village of Agios Leon is up in the hills which are green and very beautiful an and is very central for visiting different areas of the island. There are two bakeries, several cafes and shops, and the excellent family-run San Leon Taverna which serves fantastic and excellent value food. Dionisis the host was very helpful both before and during the trip. He met us at the house when we arrived and explained everything in the house and made us feel very welcome and at home. Overall this is a great place to stay.

We spent one week in Joyas Village and really enjoyed it. When we arrived, the owner Dennis was there to show us everything and to give us a lot of tips about Zakynthos. During our stay he gave us a lot of more information about beautiful spots and nice places to eat.We found the house as described, well maintained and with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Also the basic equipment like soap, toilet paper, dish washer soap, towels were there for the whole stay, very nice and helpful. Especially the backyard is such a lovely place to spend time together for eating or playing games. The village is very quiet, you have two small super markets, two bakeries and two taverns. I recommend to rent a car so you can easily reach the beautiful beaches and spots in the area. We enjoyed our time there and would love to come back.

A very nice trip

We spent 10 days at Joya Village house and enjoyed our stay. Dennis` mother welcomed us kindly and instructed us in all the important details. The mountain village of Agios Leon has small shopping facilities and is home to two tavernas, which we can only recommend. The people are extremely friendly! Dennis himself recommended via messages countless great tips about the island and its hotspots. We visited a lot of places, some of them breathtaking. Although the mountain village is not centrally located, this was exactly what we had in mind and while driving to and from our daily destinations, we enjoyed the very green nature of the island. All in all, we had a wonderful time out on Zakynthos! As we are repeat offenders, a return is not out of the question! Many thanks at this point to Dennis! Claudia & Bernd

A charming village house that is very well equipped and very clean.

We had a wonderful stay at Joya Village House. The house is quaint and very clean and we loved sitting in the courtyard under the vines and on the balcony upstairs. Everything you need has been thought of. It is situated in a charming village. We loved going to the bakeries in the morning, greeting the locals and soaking up the village atmosphere. Dennis is an amazing host. He is so kind and helpful - nothing is a problem and he gives very good recommendations for sight seeing and places to eat. He maintains great communication with you during your stay. He was very thoughtful giving us wine and melons and full access to his own homemade olive oil and wine. Agios Leon is a very good location for touring the island. All of the major tourist sights are within easy reach and yet it is not inundated with tourists. We would thoroughly recommend staying in Joya Village House.

Wir waren im Oktober 2026 für 2 Wochen im Joya Village Haus. Es ist ein wunderbares kleines gemütliches Häuschen im Dorf Agios Leon. Wir waren bei der Ankunft sofort begeistert ! Der Gastgeber Dionisis hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und uns mit zahlreichen Tips rund um die Insel versorgt ! Wenn man seine Hilfe braucht, ist er immer sofort erreichbar ! Das Haus ist wunderbar eingerichtet und es fehlt wirklich an Nichrs !! Ganz ganz prima alles !! Und es ist alles sehr sauber ! Der kleine goldige Innenhof lädt zum Verweilen, Frühstücken und zum Abendessen ein. Ein kleines Paradies mitten im Ort mit wunderbarer Ruhe. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder !! Wir vergeben gerne die volle Puntzahl !!

Wir, erst zu zweit, dann zu dritt, waren sehr zufrieden mit der Unterkunft. Man lebt mitten unter den Einheimischen, die alle immer sehr freundlich waren. Der Innenhof ist ein Traum; die Räume und Einrichtung sind wie auf den Fotos.Dionisis ist ein sehr aufmerksamer Vermieter, hat uns immer wieder mit Tips, übers Handy, versorgt und war immer für uns erreichbar, Kommunikation lief über Englisch.Ein Leihwagen, um die Insel zu erforschen, ist von Vorteil, der Parkplatz ist direkt vor der Tür.Zu Fuss sind mehrere Tavernen, Bäckereien und ein kl. Supermarkt zu erreichen; die kleine Bäckerei, aus dem Haus rechts raus, den Berg hoch und wieder rechts, ist zu empfehlen; die ältere Besitzerin war immer nett und freundlich; die Brot- und Backwaren waren immer frisch und lecker.Der Ort Agios Leon liegt recht zentral auf der Insel, man erreicht alle Orte, gefühlt, in 30 Minuten, daraus hat sich bei uns ein geflügeltes Wort gebildet, wie weit ist das, 30 Minuten.Während unseres Aufenthaltes, brütete ein Schwalbenfamilie 4 Küken aus, es war immer Leben im Innenhof; das Nest befand sich unter dem Vordach vor dem Masterbedroom.Fazit: Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und empfehlen diese Unterkunft, ist etwas anderes, als ein Hotelaufenthalt; natürlich Selbstverpflegung, das ist aber auf der Insel kein Problem; die heimmischen Supermärkte und der Lidl in Zakynthos Stadt sind gut sortiert.

Wir (zu zweit) waren rundum glücklich und zufrieden mit der Unterkunft. Ein sehr schönes, vielseitiges und gemütliches Haus mit traditionellem Hof (blickgeschützt und entspannt privat) zum Verweilen, Essen, Lesen und Faulenzen an warmen Tagen (Schatten durch rankendes Weindach). Man lebt förmlich inmitten der Einheimischen dieses Dorfes. Wir fanden das sehr schön und authentisch. Alles für uns Wichtige war zu Fuß erreichbar (Tavernen, Bäcker, kleine Supermärkte...), wobei wir mit einem Mietwagen dort waren, um die gesamte Insel zu erkunden. Parkplatz ist direkt vor der Haustür oder nach kurzem Fußmarsch (2 Minuten) gut erreichbar.Dionisis war ein außerordentlicher Gastgeber, sehr freundlich, kommunizierte proaktiv, hat uns vor, zu Beginn und während der Reise stets mit Tipps versorgt. Spricht sehr gut Englisch, was die Kommunikation erleichtert. Sehr angenehm und absolut zuverlässig. Er war immer für uns da, wenn wir Fragen hatten, aber dabei auch angenehm zurückhaltend. Ein sehr schöner Urlaub in einem wirklich besonderen Haus, in dem es an nichts fehlte. Danke für alles!

Magische Zeit auf Zakynthos im Dorfhaus Joya

Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und haben uns während unseres Aufenthalts im Joya Haus sehr wohl gefühlt! Wer Luxus erwartet ist allerdings hier falsch. Es ist eher ursprünglich, unberührt ohne schnick schnack aber das ist es was diese Insel ausmacht. Wir haben magische Momente erlebt die wir wohl nie vergessen werden. Im Ort scheint die Zeit stehen geblieben zu sein und man genießt einfach nur das schöne Leben auf dieser magischen Insel. Die Dorfbewohner sind sehr freundlich und herzlich sodass man sich sofort wohl fühlt. Der perfekte Ort um seine seelischen Akkus wieder voll zu laden. Vielen herzlichen Dank für diese schönen unvergesslichen Momente, wir werden euch nie vergessen und kommen gerne wieder. Danke auch an Dennis der sich immer wieder mit wertvollen Tipps und Hinweisen während des Aufenthalts bei uns gemeldet hatte. Es war großartig!

Wunderschöne Wochen im Joya Dorfhaus

Wir haben, mit 3 Erwachsenen und einem Kind, 11 Nächte in diesem wunderschönen Haus verbracht. Die Einrichtung ist in sehr gutem Zustand und von Kochgeschirr bis Duschgel und Waschmaschine ist alles im Haus vorhanden was man sich nur wünschen kann. Besonders schön ist der tolle Innenhof, in dem wir viele Abende verbringen durften. Der Gastgeber ist ein überaus freundlicher und zuvorkommender Mensch, der einem jeder Zeit mit Rat und Tat zur Seite steht und einen mit tollen Ausflugstipps versorgt. Der Ort Agios Leon verfügt über ausgezeichnete Tavernen, eine Tankstelle, Bäcker und mehrere Märkte in denen man alles erhält was man für den täglichen Bedarf benötigt. Insgesammt eine wunderbare Region auf der Insel mit tollen Ausflugsmöglichkeiten. Besonders die 2 naheliegenden Strände haben uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Joya Dorfhaus

Wir haben uns in dem geschmackvoll eingeriteten Haus auf Anhieb sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Bei Ankunft nahm uns die herzliche Mutter von Dennis in Empfang und hat uns alles gezeigt. Der Innenhof ist ein Traum. Hier kann man ungestört unter den Reben sitzen. Über den Innenhof kommt man über eine Treppe in den 2. Stock zum Schlafzimmer mit angrenzendem Bad. Das Bett ist sehr bequem und wir haben wunderbar geschlafen. Dennis hat uns viele tolleTipps für Ausflüge gegeben. Wir empfehlen das Haus sehr gerne weiter. Es liegt sehr günstig mitten auf der Insel um mit dem Mietwagen in kurzer Zeit alle Sehenswürdigkeiten zu erreichen.

Cosy, clean and comfortable

We really loved our stay at this cottage on Zakynthos island. We felt we stayed in a tranquil space to chill out and take in the peaceful surroundings. The house is lovingly decorated and you feel very comfortable. Our host was very quick to respond and gave so many great tips! Location is also good to explore the whole island!

Greek Hospitality

The house is located in a village in the mountains of Zakynthos. It‘s really as nice as the pictures show it. We were being welcomed by our host with olive oil and wine made by the family - lovely. Dennis will provide you with any information you need: places to go out, beaches or if you want to rent a motor boat, just ask him. Also we found the people of Agios Leon very nice as it is far away from the touristic hotspots. It‘s still a traditional Greek village with a lot of charme. I hope we will return.
