Situated in Calistoga, but with a true country estate feeling (see our Aerial photo). Originally home to Sterling Vineyard's founder, this property is surrounded on 3 sides by vineyards and the 4th side by the Napa River. This comfortably elegant estate home with a nearby bunkhouse has been recently remodeled and boasts 4 acres of manicured beauty, quiet and privacy. Guest groups will be limited to 15 persons.. Olympic-sized pool, separate hot tub/spa, large propane BBQ with lots of seating with additional fire pit, expansive lawns and shady rose garden.

If you want to "get away from it all" this is absolutely the place to rest, relax, and recreate.

Amazing Place to Stay

A group of my girl friends and I stayed here for a Bachlorette and we couldn't have asked for a better house! Nestled in the Sterling Vineyard this house is perfect for large groups, with amazing views, a huge property to hang out on and a refreshing pool! The rooms fit us all very comfortably and the kitchen and backyard were amazing for group dinners. I highly recommend for anyone visiting the Napa area! Gigi and Dan were both immense helps with any of our needs.

Great location and property!

Our large family had a great time at Clos D'Imelda. The house and bunkhouse gave us a lot of flexibility around space, the house is well equipped and the property itself is beautiful! Perfect spot for a family reunion. There are many wineries and great restaurants in close proximity too.

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The property is beautiful, set on a vineyard with plenty of space for both adults and kids. Close to town and wineries. We had a wonderful time and experience. Also, the staff were a pleasure to work with. We would definitely choose this place again without question.

Our group of 10 was pleasantly surprised at just how great Clos d’Imelda turned out to be. Fantastic location, clean, spacious and relaxing. We used a private Chef familiar with the house which made it all the more enjoyable. Great stay!

A lovely stay!

We loved everything about this beautiful home! The drive into the estate is serene. The home is comfortable with lots of space to sprawl out. Tons of natural light! The kitchen is equipped with everything you'd need to prep & serve for a large group. The beds are luxuriously comfortable. We spent our afternoons in the pool & hot tub to unwind after a few hours of winery visits. Already plotting our next stay in this lovely place!

Gorgeous home close to everything we wanted to do - being ON a working vineyard was unreal.

This home is so beautiful, it’s well maintained, roomy, spacious... the pool is to-die-for!! The house had everything we needed to make several meals, comfortably seat 13 together outside in two different locations... just wonderful! Cannot overstate the beauty of the property - we jogged the perimeter of the grapevines every morning... wow just wow. Pull-out couches are (as to be expected) not the most comfortable but the beds (room for 11 in real beds) were great. Nothing but rave reviews from our party! We want to come back to this home!

Quiet retreat in paradise

This was an excellent place to visit with out family. The grounds allowed comfortable outdoor seating, eating and enjoyment of vineyards and scenery. The pool was great fun. The bunkhouse provided a separate space for our family with young children. Kitchen facilities were excellent for get together and led directly to comfortable outdoor seating beneath a majestic valley oak tree. the two upstairs bedrooms are large with amazing views of the grounds. There is room to roam, relax and contemplate the beauty of the Napa Valley and Calistoga. The norther valley is the most beautiful part of the Napa valley. It is less congested and full of good restaurants and of course many fine wineries. We would love to return some day. It was one of the best VRBO properties I have used anywhere. Highly recommended.

Stunning Property

There were 8 of us family members celebrating our Aunt's 80th birthday. The house was perfect for a large group - lots of different areas to congregate. The kitchen was well-equipped and the location was perfect for wine tasting in the Calistoga area. The views are beautiful and the Napa River runs through the property. The Bunk House would be a great place to throw all the kids in. Unfortunately the weather was rainy so we didn't get to utilize the pool area but it is fabulous.

Awesome location - close to wineries and very comfortable!

We were celebrating my wife's birthday with a group of friends - 9 of us all together. Gigi made the whole process very easy and made some great recommendations regarding a local chef for a dinner in the house. Culinary Mercinarys are definitely top notch!! Really convenient to great wineries - Joseph Cellars is a must stop! The house itself was great for our group. There is a bunkhouse that is located just steps away from the main house if you have large groups like ours. Pool and jacuzzi available all though we didn't utilize due to the weather. Only concern - and it was minor is the size of showers and water pressure in the main house. We will definitely be back - thanks Tom!!

Lovely home in a beautiful setting

Beautiful vineyard property!

Our stay was perfect! The house accommodated 14 people well, and Josh and Gigi did a great job at preparing us for our stay and showing us around. I highly recommend!

Wonderful Property

We had a marvelous trip to Napa. Great wineries. Wonderful friends. And the stay at Clos D'Imelda was awesome. From the attentiveness of Gigi, the rental manager, to the support from Josh the property manager, the entire rental experience was excellent. The sleeping arrangements were perfect. The kitchen is awesome, being FULLY equipped. We used it often. Internet included. It was rainy so we were not able to enjoy the outdoors and outdoor amenities (tennis court, pool, hot tub). I did use the grill which is superb. The only thing holding back a 5-star were a few minor maintenance items (e.g. one loose cabinet door in the kitchen). These are being addressed as I write this. They did not interfere at all with our stay. I HIGHLY recommend this beautiful and private farm house. We will definitely use it again on a future Napa trip.

A great week-end

Had a wonderful week-end, attending a wedding and some wine tasting. Three generations filled the house and bunk house. Two master suites upstairs. Convenient to town (Calistoga), and wineries. Dan was very helpful getting us settled in.

Clos D 'lmelda

Just spent a week at this beautiful Calistoga property.We had 8 adults and were very comfortable in this large home. We enjoyed the outdoor patios and pool area. There was plenty of room for use to sit around and enjoy the beautiful landscaping and wine vineyards.We found shopping and nice restaurants just a short drive into Calistoga. This is a perfect location if you plan to visit the wineries in Napa Valley.

We love the Napa Valley and this property is totally unique. It was originally the home of the Founder of Sterling Vineyard and it is surrounded on three sides with vineyards. When you are there, you can look in every direction and not see another house. There is complete quiet except for the buzz of a dragonfly, air balloons floating overhead, or the Napa River running alongside. During the Fall, the vineyards come alive with the crush season and every major road has trucks moving grapes from the fields to the wineries for processing. This estate is perfect for a family reunion or a corporate meeting and we have myriad referrals we can give you for winery tours, private chefs or caterers, even in-house massage.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Originally owned by the founder of Sterling Vineyards, you enter this secluded property on the Valley floor via a quarter-mile long tree canopied driveway. The main house is surrounded on three sides by vineyards and on its fourth side by the Napa River.

The main house on the ground floor features a 2 story vaulted living room; a completely updated kitchen (including an inductive range and wine cooler), along with breakfast nook; and a separate dining area overlooking the pool. There are also two bedrooms and a shared bath on this lower level. Upstairs, there are two ensuite bedrooms, one with a king sized bed & a new sofabed that is great for a family with children, the other with a queen bed and windows looking out over the vineyards.

A separate “bunk house” located near the pool has a bedroom in the front (with a full ensuite bath) accommodating up to three guests in twin beds. The second bunkhouse bedroom (also with a full ensuite bath) and has a queen bed. Perfect for overflow guests, or parents with children!!

The premier attraction of Clos d’Imelda is its almost four acres of manicured grounds—lovely lawns (one large enough for a game of touch football), a signature 100 year old barn, and mature trees everywhere that provide total privacy.

Adjoining the main house is an extensive patio area overlooking the Napa River with all the seating and equipment necessary for casual entertainment at night, Napa style. There is now a firepit for late night conversations and maybe smores!

And of course for the warm Napa days there is an over-sized pool as well as an adjacent hot-tub.

Known among locals for its lovely private grounds, this is the ideal retreat for couples or families wishing to experience the Napa Valley dream.
