Everything about staying at Cherry Tree was lovely. The rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable. We wanted for nothing, everything was provided. We especially loved the large field behind the property. It was lovely to go wandering through the field. The property is perfectly located near Chester. It makes for a very easy drive to everywhere we wanted to visit from Knutsford to North Wales.

Great location, only 5 miles from Chester and lots to do in the local area! Hosts were lovely and very attentive! Cottage a good size and well equipped only downside was the beds as others have mentioned, could really do with new mattresses.

Hello Dan, That does surprise me as we normally we receive a five star review. You must be referring to a comment made in 2019 and we changed the mattress immediately. Incidentally the current guests mentioned they had the best nights sleep for years. Also, I would have appreciated you telling me you had damaged the solid wood dining table which will have to be be sanded down and resealed. Kind regards Rob Menzies

Lovely stay

We had a lovely stay at Cherry Tree Cottage, both Robert and Janet the hosts were very welcoming. The cottage is warm and comfortable and has some great circular walks directly from the door including dog friendly pub stops along the way! The city of Chester is only a few miles away, as is the shopping outlet Cheshire Oaks. We hope to return soon.

The cottage is very well furnished and fitted. Both landlords are lovely - our kids were even allowed to collect some eggs of their free range hens, ... We enjoyed the silence during our stay. Will book the cottage again for sure (if we are around Chester again).

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE

My son, daughter-in-law, and I stayed for 2 weeks and the cottage was all that we could have hoped for and more. Rob and Janet were the perfect hosts and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. If we ever go back to the UK, This is where we want to stay. So quiet and relaxing. Thank you so much Rob and Janet!

Good morning Susan, Well if you do come you will be most welcome and thank you for those kind words. This is certainly a beautiful part of the country and I feel lucky to have been born here. I am glad you explored Chester which is unique, also visited the castles and countryside of Wales, and you even found time to travel up to Scotland through the Highlands to Loch Ness and I hope Nessie made an appearance!! As you had an early flight I missed you on the last day but I hope you all had a good time at a typical English pub nearby. Finally, even the weather was kind to you. Kindest regards Rob Menzies

A relaxing rural location

The property is well placed in a rural setting but reasonably close to Chester and Liverpool. We found the property to be very comfortable and the owners, Janet and Robert to be excellent in providing local information and for being very friendly. We plan to stay there in future as there is so much to see in Liverpool and the nearby towns such as Nantwich and Whitchurch. It’s not too far to hop over the border into N. wales to see Conwy and other historic towns.

Everything was just right!

Lovely cottage in a quiet location with a rural feel, equipped with everything we needed and cosy in colder weather. Good road connections and perfect for exploring not just Cheshire but N Wales, Peak District and Liverpool. Delightful owners were unobtrusive but on hand if needed. They very obviously care about their guests and had helpful suggestions for enjoying our stay. Thank you. All in all, perfect.
