Wake up to roosters crowing or birds chirping...maybe even a donkey "hee-hawing."
Enjoy beautiful sunrises, sunsets, and starlit nights with clear skies away from the city lights. Try your skills at BBQ'ing on our Weber grill.

Our updated home features three bedrooms, two baths, a cozy fireplace, and tasteful furnishings. You’ll find three 65" TVs equipped with Direct TV Stream, Netflix, and more, along with high-speed Starlink internet.

With over twenty acres to roam, hike, and explore, you'll encounter numerous bird species and have plenty of space for dogs to run. The property is gated and fenced for your security and peace of mind. Our large fenced backyard is covered with synthetic turf. Dogs will enjoy it with their own doggie door.

EV owners will enjoy a fast EV charger located in the garage. Water is provided from our 985-foot deep well. We also have lightning rods on the home and garage, plus a Generac whole home generator powered by our dual propane tanks,

Carl Hill is our on-site manager, ready to answer any questions. He is also our dog and horse whisperer from Northern Ireland and manages our adjacent dog and horse rescue, Happy Furever. Our newest addition is Cash, a wild mustang rescued from Nevada via the U.S. Bureau of Land Management.

Relaxation is the operative word, so come, stay, and enjoy. We must restrict occupancy to no more than eight guests. Large parties of greater than 12 people are prohibited.

Exactly as advertised! Amazing space for our large family to sprawl, fenced in outdoor area to enjoy the warmer weather, and tons of additional land to roam. House was clean, hosts were excellent, rescue pups next door were an added bonus!

Tom and Jan's place in the country

We rented Tom and Jan's country home for two months, February and March, 2019. We enjoyed the country life, listening to the roosters in the morning, the sounds of the goats next door, and the three donkeys, two miniature horses, and the horse. We fed them all and the goats and donkeys would come when we called. We took advantage of the target range out back, the various yard games, the pool table and the dart board. Once it warmed up we spent several days sitting out in the backyard taking it all in. Had a great time, wonderful house. Tom came out the first day to meet us and show us around. Very nice guy.

Relaxing country atmosphere with all the modern amenities!!

I want to thank Tom for allowing us to stay in their beautiful home! We had such a great, relaxing time there. We could hear the nearby roosters each morning. The horses and donkeys would come up to the fence around midday or evening, allowing us to feed them their treats. We cooked out many times. I used the Webber gas grill, but there was also the green egg grill to use. The big round bean bag was such a big hit, that we ordered one when we got home. Everything you could need here is supplied. Even down to a spare propane tank if needed. Which we did. We really enjoyed the game room. There is a pool table and dart board that we put to use. There is also another big screen tv with video games. The home is wonderfully decorated, and the floor plan seemed just right. The area is all fenced in, and that was great for our dog. There is a smaller fenced area in the back yard too. If you would like to get away from the hustle and bustle, and just relax and unwind, this is the perfect place!!! It truly is. Beautiful, Clean, and Relaxing

We stayed for 5 weeks while our home was going through some construction work. With. 2 year old we were worried about staying in a home safe for her. Needless to say we felt right at home. Wonderful time and would recommend to anyone!

Extremely Peaceful

We rented this property because of it's proximity to a wedding venue that we were having my niece's wedding at and am so glad we did. This property was SO peaceful and serene (which is totally needed around weddings)!!! Everyone got a great nights sleep every night we were there, had enough space to accommodate last minute things we needed to hold until the wedding date, and housed 6 people very comfortable.

Perfect Get-Away For Families! Outstanding!

Booked this property for a family Thanksgiving and it meet ALL of our expectations! Huge property to roam and explore....all the donkeys, horses and other animals were SO fun to feed and watch. Beautifully decorated home with everything needed to cook a Thanksgiving meal for a large family. Beds were extremely comfortable, game room with pool table was a BIG HIT, open floor plan allowed great visiting and conversation! Just can't say enough about this property!! Will DEFINITELY be back again.....close enough in proximity to the DFW area to enjoy all the shopping and restaurants but far enough out in the country to enjoy the stars and hear the crickets!! Thanks, Tom.

Beautiful well maintained updated property. Great for all ages. Quiet, relaxing getaway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. Definitely ranks in one of the top properties we have visited. Well stocked, clean, comfortable beds, short drive to Lake Ray Roberts and very tastefully decorated. The animals were a hit with kids and the billiards and game room were used. Nice comfy lounge chairs for watching football and napping. The outdoors space was great for morning coffee, meals, etc.and just sitting chatting. We like cooking together and the kitchen allowed for that. We didn't use extra fridge or need it but it's a nice extra not often come across if needed. The only items we missed and they may be there for the next guests are a couple more mixing bowls, mixing spoons, a pitcher (we made iced tea) and maybe just a few more bath towels. There is a very nice laundry area and up to date washer and dryer for laundry, an extra set of towels ready while the others were laundered would have been a nice extra. Owners very responsive and help is right next door if needed. Overall A+, we would book for Thanksgiving but it's booked already. Looking forward to returning. It was an AWESOME to say the Least!!! Great getaway. Tom and Jan were great host.

It was the greatest getaway for myself and my family. Tom and Jan were great host. They are the most pet friendly people I have ever met. My dogs had plenty of running room around his large ranch. It's great for kids of all ages let alone adults. There are horses and donkeys right there to see and you get to hear the roosters calling in the morning. It's nice and peaceful, quiet. The people in Pilot Point where all nice. There is every type of electronic fun in the house. Pool table, dart board and an old fashion popcorn machine, which made great popcorn. I have nothing but good things to say for Tom and Jan. It is worth the money and we plan on going back again. If you Love the country atmosphere, you can't pass this up. Any and all people thinking of possibly taking a getaway trip there may feel free to contact me. This is one of a kind. Thank You Again Tom and Jan for allowing us to stay. One last thing. Everything is there that you may need From pots, pans, dishes to towels for showering. Don't pass this up!!! Regards Mark Blaine

Ideal Weekend Getaway

Our son lives in Richardson with 2 dogs and we wanted to spend Memorial weekend with them. We were so glad that we found this lovely property that allowed dogs. They were able to run at full speed, freely, and play with the donkeys. Our dog Kissy ran along the fence , back and forth, with one of the donkeys. We video taped it, and wish we could share the clip. Our children with a few of their close friends had a great time. They fed the donkeys, took a stroll into the woods looking for "nature treasures", and played pool and board games each night. We hung a hammock in the back yard and fell asleep in the breezy weather. The house is beautifully decorated, pet-friendly, and has everything you need in the kitchen. Thank you for sharing your property to us. We highly recommend this house to all our friends who just want to escape the busy city and relax with the loved ones.

YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED ...

Beautiful home, inside and out ... much more than I imagined. Up-to-date Kitchen was perfect for our family to cook together. Big Game Room with nice pool table for the teenage/adult kids to entertain themselves. Enjoyable back yard with BBQ grill and seating. Great pet area with entire lawn/field fenced in. Secluded, but felt very safe, in the country with locked/gated entry. Tom is terrific. He was just a phone call away for any of our questions. They definitely want you to feel at home. Thanx for sharing your beautiful country home, Tom n Jan.
