Casa Foelas is a large detached Italian country Villa.The villa is very private and not overlooked in any way .Situated on the outskirts of Casoli, in a small hamlet, the house enjoys all the benefits of a rural setting with spectacular views over the Italian country side, however, shopping and everyday amenities along with superb restaurants are less than 10 minutes drive away.
Casa Foelas occupies a unique position by virtue that it is equidistant from both the coast and the beautiful national park, both just 25 minutes away by car.
Casa Foelas is set in a 1/3 of an acre of tranquil olive groves and a terraced sloping garden with amazing views of the valley below.
The accommodation offered is tastefully decorated- a real home from home . It is cosy and homely and offers a perfect base for families or couples .There are travel cots ,high chairs, baby bath and even a potty if required .There is a toy box as well with a selection of toys for all ages .
Perfect for couples as well as the house is totally private not overlooked for total peace and tranquility to get away from it all a real escape .
The “Garden Apartment “of this villa is the area offered for rent .This floor is totally self contained ,with private entrance and parking spaces . It has two bedrooms , double and a twin , a modern wet room ,kitchen/dinner, and lounge with woodburning stove . The ground floor has original features - oak beams and is tastefully decorated throughout.
The upper floor of the house is for the sole use of the owners .. they may or may not be on site during your stay .. however the pool is for guests sole use.
The ground floor of this large detached villa has a private entrance .It is accessible through a gate and down some steps from the car parking area. As you enter through your own private front door you are welcomed by a sunny lounge with original beamed ceiling. This room has two sofas so plenty of seating . There is a DVD player and a wood burning pellet stove, perfect for a cosy autumn evening . The ground floor of this villa is open plan and from the lounge you enter the kitchen and dining area here there are French doors which open directly on to the covered terrace - this looks out over an amazing view of the valley below .The fully fitted dining kitchen has a dish washer, microwave, oven and fridge freezer. The cabinets in the kitchen allow for plenty of storage and the kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you could need a real home from home. Leading off the kitchen via a small hall - there are 4 small steps up to the spacious master bedroom and second twin bedroom. The master bedroom has a double bed, and plenty of storage, and space for a travel cot which can be provided upon request. There is air conditioning in both bedrooms and living area. Just down the corridor from the bedrooms there is a modern wet room with power shower. Wifi is available throughout .
Outside through the french doors from the kitchen you will have the garden ,terrace and pool area for your own private use .
To the side of the house up some steps there is a small elevated sitting area with beautiful views perfect place to sit and enjoy a morning coffee or evening glass of a local wine .Here there is a small bistro table and two chairs.
The peaceful olive grove and garden are a perfect place for dining alfresco -underneath the large covered terrace and for enjoying the peace and quiet of the beautiful country location . The large garden is on a slope which is graduated and terraced .The garden is fenced all round so very safe for children . There is a flattish area at the bottom of the garden where the slope levels out .
There are a good selection of beach toys and inflatables at the villa for your use to take to the nearby beaches. There 1.25m deep ,8m x 4 m private pool completely enclosed by a small picket fence so is very safe for children allowing parents to relax when supervising their children . The pool is surrounded by a large deck where there are sun loungers and parasols an excellent place to sun bathe .Please note the pool is unheated . There is a solar heated shower on the deck for guests to use . Guests are guaranteed sole use of the garden and pool and complete privacy when they book the ground floor of this villa . The villa is not overlooked and is very private During your stay we have a representative who will provide support for you and will be available should you have any questions . A basic welcome pack will also be provided if your stay is 1 week or longer. The pool will be serviced 3 times a week during your stay .Our pool is unheated and is available late May to the late September only . Casa Foelas is in the unique position of being equal distance between the mountains and the beautiful trabocchi coast 25 mins to both.All amenities are easily reached by car The local area is populated with many old picturesque villages and towns, such as Casoli 10 mins away by car..Those who wish to avoid well developed holiday resorts will take solace in lots of small towns scattered through out the area. Gorgeous stone castles dotted through the countryside . Medieval fortresses built to protect hill top villages, small chapels with stunning architecture and beautiful religious relics.The basilica in historic Lanciano is breathtakingly beautiful and only 20 mins away.
In the local area there are any number of activities from water sports on Lake Bomba which is 15 mins drive from the house.There is horse riding not far away there is the majestic Majella mountain range perfect for hiking and exploring.
For children there is a a great water park at Vasto about 45 mins away.
There is a very well respected golf course MIglianico 40 km away .There are maps and a file full of information at the house so you can make the most of your stay ..
Casa Foelas is a great place to visit not just for summer sun - Spring and Autumn visitors enjoy warm weather and wonderful walks , cosy evenings and tranquility guaranteed.
The beaches are wonderful the closest being 20 mins by car . The whole unspoilt Trabacchi Coast is yours to explore and enjoy.
Local restaurants serve only the best in local produce with the area having an abundance of outstanding local dishes and wine .Along coast the restaurants only serve the best fresh caught fish and molluscs at very reasonable prices.The ice cream shops are amazing and very tempting.
The nearest bar and restaurant to the house is 2 mins drive or a 10 minute walk away through the olive groves and countryside.The local restaurant provides take a way pizza.
Casa Foelas is in a semi rural position and is peaceful and private but in no way remote .You may choose to spend lazy days around the house sunbathing on the patio or reading a book in the hammock slung beneath the Olive trees in the shade with a glass of Prosecco, or you may want to explore the area has something for everyone and makes the perfect place to holiday.
Car hire is essential when renting Casa Foelas .
There is parking for one car at the property . The lane to the house is quite narrow in places (there are passing places )and typical of rural Italy .
In this area it is very difficult to arrange taxis so please be aware of this when considering this property to rent .
Mosquitoes, ants, cockroaches, wasps and other insects are common in warmer climates, particularly in the country areas. . Our property is surrounded by gardens and countryside and native species are to be expected . Please consider this when booking our house. Please also consider although private and secluded public nudity in or around the pool is not permitted at the property for hygiene reasons . However there is a nudist beach about 20 mins by car in the area if this is something you wish to do .

Our aim is to keep the weekly rent as low as possible so weekly clean and change of beds / towels is not automatically included .
If your stay is more than 1 week there is an additional option to have bed linen and towels changed weekly at an additional cost of E10 person alternatively there is a washing machine at the property for you to launder yourself . A mid stay clean is also available at an additional charge at £45.00 .
Note for travellers cot linen is not provided .
