Enjoy amazing views, sunsets & conversations by the fire on our huge flat lawn

We have a very large level lake front yard with a great outdoor living space that has a large handmade Mayan family hammock (up to 600lbs) that is sheltered underneath a covered deck. Additionally we have an outdoor polished concrete and stainless steel wet bar area with a huge entertainment sink designed to fill with ice and last all day long. We also have a large custom built in outdoor enclosed shower area that is great for summertime fun . It also has a TV hook up if you need to watch a big game etc, and electrical outlets for your crock pots, chargers etc. along with a large outdoor ceiling fan to create a breeze if you prefer. We have a nice fire pit that we often enjoy towards the evenings and makes for a great conversation setting for all ages.

Adam's lake is an all sports lake from 10am to 6pm. From 6pm to 10am it is a no wake lake allowing the fishermen and everyone to enjoy the sunsets and relax. Our lake is about 350 acres, spring fed and 98' deep. We have an amazing and very popular sand bar for all to enjoy on the East side of the lake. Adam's lake pub serves breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as has a full bar and you can drive your boat over or drive your car there. You can google Adam's Lake pub for their hours and menu.

We have a two story home with 3 bedrooms on the 2nd story. The master was just completely remodeled and offers a King sized bed, with a very large closet and a large Anderson Patio door that opens to the 24x20 upper deck. The 2nd bedroom was also just remodeled and offers a Queen sized bed with built in storage drawers under the bed, large closet and also has a patio door that opens onto the upper deck. The 3rd bedroom
was also just remodeled and offers a twin over standard bunk bed and a large closet. Completely the 2nd floor is a full bathroom with a large jetted tub and shower. On the first floor we have a large kitchen and living room area with large ceramic tile floors and great views of the lake. The kitchen features new stainless steel appliances(side by side fridge, dishwasher, electric smooth top self cleaning stove, and toaster and microwave. The living room has a leather sofa and love seat along with a nice chair & ottoman. We also have a family room with a love seat and a desk area. Wireless wifi throughout the house. Our deck has landscape lighting that comes on and off automatically. We have a nice kayak, a paddle king paddle boat and many other floats for your use as well as a nice roll in aluminum dock. There is plenty of room to dock your boat and a public landing on the East side. We also have cable with movie channels should you decide to watch some TV.
Our favorite area is our outdoor living area where we have an outdoor shower, and a full wet bar with our large entertainment sink. We also have a large coca-cola refrigerator for your beer, or soft drinks etc.

We are very close to Shipshewana, the Midwest's largest Flea Market and Antique Auction which also has numerous Amish bakeries, meat shops, cheese shops, candy stores, Amish Made Furniture stores, etc. which offer excellent shopping.

Perfect family vacation spot!

This lakefront property was the perfect set up for a week long vacation with our adult kids! The house had the space and everything we needed to have fun and relax! The outside living area was our favorite place to play cards, eat and relax in the hammock!

Perfect getaway

We really enjoyed our week’s stay here. The outdoor space was really nice - both covered and uncovered patio, cornhole, and great fire pit. The lake was very beautiful and relaxing. Before 10a and after 6p everyday the lake becomes a 10pm lake which makes it extremely enjoyable. The A/C inside the house was dual zone, great and much needed! Large fully stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. We would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable home - nicely updated

We stayed over the holidays - owners very attentive. Would suggest a second shower area and downstairs sleeping area for families as well as a second TV with DVD option. Our stay was comfortable and we were content with the home.

We had an amazing time returning to Adam’s Lake for the first time in 18 years. The lake is great, property is great and owners are great. Owners are very responsive and helpful.

Very relaxing and enjoyable vacation on Lake Adams. Jeff, the owner, is very accommodating and customer service minded. Home was as shown and promised and had everything we needed. Would visit this home again.

Great family getaway

The home was clean and had comfortable beds. Loved the large front yard and of course the lake. Everyone enjoyed the hammock, yard toys, kayak and paddle boat. Met the owner and Jeff was very helpful with any questions that we had. Highly recommend.

Great Getaway!

Loved our stay here! Wonderful outside living area...loved the family hammock (we had 4 kids swinging in the hammock) Beautiful view on the deck enjoyed our morning coffee there. Huge front yard kids had plenty of room to play and run around and spent a lot of time in the sand box. Clean and updated inside and out....We will be coming back again!

Great week at the lake.

We had a great time staying in Jeff’s home for the week, we were very comfortable and had plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen was well stocked with all the appliances and things you may need. We enjoyed spending time there making dinner to eat out on the patio. We sat around the firepit in the eve and the kids had a fun time playing in the yard. They loved the hammock and swing. We especially loved the boat! Spent quite a lot of time at the sand bar! Will definitely stay again!

Family time

Although our week (weather) was not the greatest we made due. Ran into a couple snags but Jeff and Darla were super responsive and corrected the issue! Very comfortable place, great view and most importantly we were able to spend time with family all in one place!! Adams Lake is a beautiful lake and would highly recommend renting on this lake!

Annual Girls Trip

We had a great time on Adams lake. Large outdoor sitting areas and huge yard were definitely a plus. We didn’t have to worry about possible rain as the large porch with wet bar was covered. We swam from the dock and played yard games whenever we weren’t out on the lake. Neighbors were friendly and the property manager was amazing. Lots of new upgrades to the house. Highly recommend this property for a laketime getaway.

Just book it!

Stop your search right here, if you're looking for a relaxing getaway on the water, with a huge yard and all the comforts of home... You found it! Jeff has thought of absolutely everything! We did a last-minute family trip over the 4th of July holiday, which made things a big hectic on my end.... Jeff rolled with all of my questions, made sure we had everything we needed. The pontoon boat rental was a wonderful bonus! This is one of those "memories made here" places that you want to rebook every year for that family get together or perfect getaway.

Family trip

Great location, great property. There is plenty of space, indoors and out... and plenty of seating in all spaces. They also have lots of games and things to do together... corn hole, croquet, and other outdoor games. The back yard is huge and flat with nice views, and good fishing! Our grandson caught a mess. This property is well-equipped inside and out, and Jeff and Darla are great people and very accommodating. Having the opportunity to rent their pontoon was a must and much appreciated. Nice boat. Friendly neighbors too. Recommend!

Relaxing Lake House

We had an wonderful weekend away thanks to the home owners attention to detail. Inside and out this house makes it easy to spend a weekend away with small children and still have a relaxing time. The house was impeccably clean upon arrival and very inviting. We enjoyed the pontoon boat and golf cart too! The swingset and sandbox provided hours of entertainment for our kids. The open concept kitchen and living room made it easy to prepare meals while the kids watched tv. We enjoyed the outdoor living space as much as the indoor! The hammock, bar area, and seating were just wonderful. We can't wait to book our next trip! Thanks again Jeff for everything!

Quiet and relaxing

This lakefront rental had everything as advertised. The pictures actually don't do it justice. Jeff met us upon our arrival and gave us a thorough tour of where everything was at, and how to use everything. The inside of the house was newly remodeled, nice and comfortable. We enjoyed the outside covered living area every day, especially on the 1 or 2 days when we had rain. We enjoyed the pontoon for fishing and going to the sandbar, and also for just going on a few boat rides. The lake was very quiet we had the lake almost to ourselves for most of the week. Very relaxing week!

Wonderful Place To Stay!!

Our stay on Adams lake was fantastic!! The house is set up perfectly and is a lot larger than the photos show. The bedrooms were large and very comfortable. The kitchen and living room provided ample space to cook and unwind. The entire house has been updated so nicely! The outdoor decks and patio were our favorite places to hang. I logged many peaceful hours in the hammock. The bar has a large Pepsi cooler which came in so handy! We rented a pontoon boat from Jeff the owner and it enabled us to spend lots of time out on the lake. Everything from life jackets to firewood, from dishes to games, from linens to board games was provided. This is a really great property and the owner is a pleasure to deal with. We will definitely be back!!

Relaxing Vacation with an amazing view.

I'd like to start by saying, the owners, Jeff & Daniela are such wonderful people, so easy going and always responded very quickly. They did everything to make our stay at Adams Lake so perfect and it was so relaxing and peaceful, which was just what we were looking for. Beautiful view of the lake, huge backyard to play games, a firepit to keep you warm on those cool nights under the stars, fishing, boating, swimming....the list goes on and on and that's just the outdoors. The house was perfect and feels just like home with 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths, a large living room and kitchen along with a huge upper deck and lower patio, we had plenty of space. Our son loved the hammock and all the outdoor activities and we enjoyed just about every meal off the grill eating out on the patio with the lake as our scenery.........absolutely perfect!! Will definitely be back ☺

Loved it!!

Six of us stayed in this amazing home for only four nights, but it felt like home right away. Jeff was there when the first two of us arrived and was very welcoming. He even took us out on the pontoon for a short tour of the lake! Everything was as pictured, but even better in person. My son kayaked the lake and the others used the 4 person pontoon paddleboat to check out the sandbar and tool around in the lake. But we also swam right off the dock. The water was perfect! We brought and played croquet on the lawn- the shade was always in the right spot! And so was relaxing on the covered deck AND the outdoor shower! We even had a bonfire during our short stay and really took advantage of everything that was provided. No need to leave for entertainment. The supplies in the house and kitchen were great; we lacked nothing our entire stay. Oh, and the beds were very comfortable! Really we couldn't have asked for anything more.

Perfect peaceful getaway

I was very pleased with this rental. Jeff was very prompt in responding to my questions and checking in ( via text) to make sure our stay was going well. The yard was spacious for kids to play and Jeff had lots of yard games for us to use ( badmittion, croquet sets, corn hole, swing set). The newly remodeled bedrooms worked well to sleep two couples and two children on the bunk beds ( total of 6). I'm not sure how you would sleep ten unless you used the couches and air mattress. There was plenty of seating outside on the bottom deck and the outdoor bar, cooler, shower, and large hammock were hit! We also enjoyed the fire pit and the lake. We didn't rent the pontoon boat so we were only able to travel the lake in the Paddle Boat and kayak provided. We enjoyed both, but it is a long trip to the sandbar at the opposite side of the lake. My kids had fun fishing with their grandpa and caught sunfish, bluegill, and perch. Some were even caught standing from the dock in front of the home. This home was well decorated and conducive to one large family or two families staying at once. There was even a desk and office area for those needing a quiet place to work. The only negative I had was that the swimming area right in front of the property dipped very quickly from about 2 feet to 8 feet. There is no sandy bottom or "safe swim area " so my 11 year old twins wore life jackets the entire time. They were OK with that but it is not conducive to wading and playing in the water as I had imagined. We still had tons of fun on the flotation toys after getting used to the seaweed bottom and deep waters. Overall I loved this rental and would book it again. It was decorated well, made us feel at home, and was very quiet and peaceful.

Great Lake, Good Home, Awful Experience with Homeowner Withholding Deposit Money

Had good time while at lake and rented boat from homeowner. But... Upon arrival, I noticed there weren’t any fire alarms (only CO detectors) in the home. When I asked owner, he couldn’t tell me where they were. We purchased battery operated fire alarms for use in Rome City. On July 22, over one month after we departed, the homeowner emailed me that boat owner had to replace the propeller on the boat, accusing me of the damage. The homeowner stated that the boat owner “takes photos before and after of the prop”, and the homeowner said he'd forward them to me. In the interim, the homeowner deducted 37% from my boat deposit. On July 27, I responded that we didn’t damage the propeller and respectfully requested pre and post rental date-stamped pictures of the propeller to prove this damage allegation. The homeowner responded that the pontoon owner “inspects the boat after each rental”. As of September 1, homeowner still has not sent any promised before pictures of the propeller. The owner finally sent 3 pictures ~44 days after rental. The 3 pictures are of a damaged propeller, no indication where the propeller came from or when the pictures were taken. When I questioned the pictures, the owner stated it's “easy to damage props without knowing it” and he could get “copies of the bill...”. The owner has never provided this bill as of September 1. In a August 8 email, the owner adds new things to damage claim: “flag was broken and no [deposit] deduction was taken…there were stains in the…rug in the LR which…were not deducted for.” In a August 30, owner mentions “large blue stains…on the towel in the laundry room.” I had VRBO delete my original feedback since it didn’t represent my full rental experience. Of note, the homeowner fully refunded my house deposit. The homeowner replied to my original feedback stating "...thank you for taking such good care of our home!". A testament to how we left the house June 20. As of September 1, homeowner has provided no receipts, no proof of propeller condition before me, no pictures of rug, and no pictures of towel. In August 9 email said “I would rather not tarnish my 100% 5 star reviews…I will refund you [all deposit] out of my own pocket…IF you agree to not post any review...”. I still don't have my full boat deposit back. Lastly, be proactive. Check for working fire alarms. Photograph pre-rental conditions of everything to avoid a repeat of my experience.

Still waiting on return of boat security deposit two months later

Booked our family vacation for mid August. Host listed the availability of a pontoon rental, which my parents did separately. Agreement stated a $400 security deposit (less gas used) would be returned 2 weeks after rental. They have attempted contacting host via phone at least 5-10 times (no voicemail set up), text, and messaging thru VRBO site 3 times and no response except the first time which was over a month ago, that he needed to look into it. He has been completely unresponsive.

We had such a wonderful family vacation! House was clean, all sorts of kitchen equipment available and plenty of linens. We are already looking for to next year's trip! Thank you Jeff for sharing your beautiful lakehouse!

Outstanding Stay!

The entire rental/check-in/check-out process was as easy as it gets. Great rental that had all the amenities we needed and more. We couldn't be happier with the rental. We will be back!

Quality family time

Our second time here and we had a great visit! It really helps that the western was nearly perfect for being outdoors 🤗 Darla (housekeeper) was so helpful and friendly when we needed anything!!

I have been coming up to Adam's lake every year since 1968. My grandparents owned our home before we purchased it. Their grandparents owned the property on the corner next door to ours. We have completely updated most of our home and really enjoy the times we spend at the lake together with friends and family. I have started a new business and didn't get to spend as much time last year at the lake as I had hoped. That is why we decided to rent it out so that others could have as much fun and good times as we have as well as helping off set our costs to maintain it.

Our property on Adam's Lake is unique in that we have a very large and even front yard between the house and the lake. It is ideal for entertaining, for playing catch or for kicking a soccer ball around. We also have installed a nice fire pit that makes for a great gathering area in the evenings and many bottles of wine have been shared around our fire pit. Additionally there is a large beaver mound about 50 feet of our lake front that is fun to watch the beavers around dusk and dawn. We love Adam's lake because it offers the perfect balance with a full sports lake during the day and a more relaxed environment from 6pm to 10am.
*** Our home is a non-smoking pet free property.

Amazing views, set back from the busy boating section, several lily pads to fish in, a nice channel that the kids love to catch turtles in. A great sandbar to swim on and to top it all of a very nice restaurant connected to the lake.

Also there are several local things to do for all ages in Kendallville (11miles), LaGrange (12 miles) and Shipshewana (19 miles)
