Always improving and updating our property we have added a cowboy pool pst summer This 10 foot tank allows for the kids to play and adults to float. You have a wonderful view of the lake from the comfy bed through the wall of windows. The cook in the group has a covered and lighted grill area with a flat top grill for the burgers and a Pit Boss pellet smoker for the brisket. In addition, there is a charcoal grill. All of this on a wonderful, shaded yard to relax and play at this 3-bedroom two bath cabin with a great view of the lake. There is room for the kids to play or feed the deer (Lake dogs) on this large level grass lot. Just a few minutes' drive to Canyon Park (Marina and beach), restaurants, and the supermarket. You can spend the day tubing on the Guadalupe River then enjoy cooking under the pavilion. Evenings can be spent around the fire pit chilling or watching the sunset on the dam at Overlook Park. The more adventurous can take in a show at the Whitewater Amphitheater or dance at the historic Gruene Hall. There is Schlitterbahn 14 miles away for a day of water rides. The shopper can find antiques in Gruene, Wimberly, or other small towns in the area. San Marcus has all the outlet stores a person could want.
This house is set up for living with a king bed in two bedrooms and a queen in the third. Fully stocked kitchen and grill area. TV and internet access in place. Screened in porch for watching nature without the bugs. Views of the lake from multiple rooms. The yard is full of oak trees for the kids to play in the shade. Nearby golf, boat rentals, restaurants, and fun. We aim to make your stay unforgettable. Note there are outside security cameras but none on the inside. *Note * fire pit use may be restricted by county burn ban. Cowboy pool is not heated.

Best rental house EVER!

This house is simply awesome. We were greeted by a little fox and several deer, and my kids were instantly in love. The house is beautifully decorated and the yard is such a fun area to explore. Donā€™t hesitate to book this one!

Peaceful lake stay

This house is so fantastic! Inside is so lovely and has everything you need. Comfy beds - well stocked kitchen - great living area. Outdoor space is incredible with hammocks and plenty of chairs and outdoor dining. Such a peaceful and beautiful place to enjoy the outdoors. We also loved the screened in porch. We hope to stay again soon.

Great place to stay

Great place to relax and take a young family. My children actually woke up by themselves every morning at 6:30 to feed the deer. We love coming to Canyon Lake and will definitely be back.

Very relaxing stay

We stayed there for 2 nights. The view and location were awesome. The kids and the adults had a blast. Especially, the deer feeding was so out of the ordinary.

Great for a weekend getaway

We stayed here for a Momā€™s getaway in mid October and it was delightful. The house was well appointed and there were so many great touches. Both the indoor and outdoor sitting areas were cozy and perfect. The screened in porch was a delight. We were able to walk down to the lake. We had everything we needed. Rick, the host was also great. We all said we want to come back!

Beautiful and relaxing getaway

This was our second stay at this wonderful little cottage at the lake. The home is clean and well appointed. The lot is spectacular full of trees and a view of Canyon Lake. Morning coffee with the deer was amazing. We will visit this place again and again. Thank you for a relaxing getaway once again.

Peaceful, Comfortable, Hospitable

What a great vacation rental!! This property has amazing views! The owners are so sweet and hospitable. There are 15-20 deer that come by every morning and afternoon for deer corn. The beds are super comfortable, and there is plenty of indoor & outdoor entertainment areas! We will definitely be back. Thanks for the great stay!!

The house was lovely and the views are amazing! The screened in porch was our favorite spot. Deer visited every morning and evening. The house is roomy and had very nice furnishings. The owners were beyond hospitable and thoughtful. Excellent place to explore the Hill Country! We will be back!

This property made the trip more memorable than I ever expected. The house was the perfect size for my family and the scenery was to die for. Very impressed! Wonderful vacation home!

We stayed for 3 nights at this house, and wished we could have stayed longer! The view is very nice from the beautiful, well manicured yard. There is so much to do in the yard-- a bench swing, Adirondack chairs around a fire pit, BBQ grills, a tire swing for the kids, and our favorite, feeding the deer that come into the yard! The owner thought of everything! The inside of the house was beautifully done, and the beds were comfy! We will definitely stay here again!

The deer!!!

We loved it here. The property is peaceful and quiet. The view is spectacular. Inside the home has every accommodation you need including snacks and wine the owner left for us. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable and we look forward to coming back next year. Everything is close by as well. Granny D's is excellent for breakfast but bring your appetite. We really loved the home!!

Perfect Girls Get-a-way weekend

The Canyon Lake Cabin was perfect. We had a girls get-a-way weekend and found this adorable cabin. The house was beautiful, clean and safe. All the beds were very comfortable. The sofa bed was comfortable too. Rick treated us great and gave us clear instructions to care for the home. The property was gorgeous with a great view of the lake. I'd love to come back in the future with my family. It was overall a wonderful experience.

Awesome small lake house! Very well kept, great view and deer everywhere!

Loved this house on canyon lake! Older house that has been redone very recently and done very nicely. Owners were easy to contact and very helpful with any questions we had. We counted 24 deer in the front yard at one point. We could hand feed a few of them and even our 2 year old was able too also. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for close lake access, great view, and a clean and very quaint cabin

Wonderful stay!

We stayed over Memorial Day weekend and had a wonderful time. The cabin is the perfect location on Canyon Lake while also giving a very private feel as well. We had everything we needed and couldn't asked for anything else. The home was so cozy, clean and decorated very nicely. Rick went out of his way to make us feel welcomed with a bottle of wine, coffee essentials, and a handwritten note with any additional information that we made during our stay. We enjoyed relaxing in the hammock while looking at the lake view from the hill and we also enjoyed feeding the deer every day. I would definitely recommend this property and would gladly stay again.

Wish I could have stayed longer

This property is beautiful, clean, and surrounded by nature. The view was beautiful and I felt very welcome with a personal note from the owner and a welcome basket full of tasty snacks. They really thought of everything with a mosquito repellent candle and deer food on the ready. Speaking of deer, several families came by and enjoyed the shade under the wagon. A fox also stopped by, and an armadillo even made an appearance. Next time I'll definitely stay longer!

Totality 2024

We picked this house because it was along the line of totality for the 2024 eclipse. The house is clean and well kept. The yard is lovely and shaded with grazing deer all the time. You have a view of the lake which was 22 feet low at the time. Rick was a very responsive host. I would definitely recommend this property

Modern amenities with retro vibe

This was a fantastic property. The house interior was so unique with its subtle antique touches among the modern furnishings. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable with clean and stylish bathrooms. The offered toiletries were on point, as I couldnā€™t think of anything else I wouldā€™ve needed to use. Linen supply was abundant. Kitchen necessities were plentiful. Our clothing, food and drinks, were all we needed to bring. The yard was huge and well maintained with lots of seating out on the lawn and under the gazebo. Deer came around to greet us and we were able to feed them with the provided food in a bucket. We even had a fox come around to say hello too. The new cowboy pool was a treat especially with the floating chair rests. All in all, this was a great stay for us as we loved every aspect. A big thank you to the owners for being so accommodating.

Rick and Jacki live in San Antonio where Jacki works for the state, Rick is now retired and has been loving coming up to the lake to continue improving the property. Both have enjoyed sharing our peaceful lakeview cabin with so many. Families have enjoyed the place so much and we are humbled when they keep returning. I try to foresee any possible issues so your stay will go without a hitch. I will admit the raccoons and myself have not been seeing eye to eye the past year. So, book and enjoy our cabin as much as we do and let the stress melt away.

After our time at your place in Canyon Lake in March, we decided to take our 20-something kids with us for Fourth of July. One of our girls wanted to bring her dog, so we stayed at another place on lake on Parkview, since you don't allow pets. However, it just wasn't the same. :( Your hospitality is far superior to other VRBO/HomeAway places that we have stayed. The whole time we were in Canyon Lake (July 1-5), my husband and I continually talked about your place and the lovely screened-in porch. Just wanted to let you know that you have a wonderful place and your thoughtfulness makes stays refreshing. We hope to get back in to the area in the fall and we will definitely be booking your place. (We'll make our daughter find someone to watch her dog.) We love your place, so if you ever want to sell, let us know. :)
