Nice place to stay

Nice and very clean place to stay. Short distance to local small shop. Nice beaches nearby, easy to reach by car.

A lovely Cornish cottage with everything you could need. The general store is right in your doorstep and sells everything and the pub again very close.

We had a fantastic stay at the Laurels. It is a truly fantastic cottage with everything you could possibly need. We were made to feel very welcome and want to say a big thank you for the cream tea you left for us.

Lovely house

We spent a few days in this lovely house and enjoyed the beautiful countryside around. Everything was as expected or even beyond our expectations and the owner was very friendly and helpful.

A wonderful week in a lovely cottage

The Laurels was the perfect base for our week at half term. Set in a quiet street, with outdoor space both at the front and back of the property, we really enjoyed our stay. The cottage has literally everything you could need, and is very comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped, and everything has been very well considered for a holiday home from home.

A lovely week away

Great location for exploring north Cornwall. Charming cottage. Warm, very clean and well kept. Very well equipped for self catering cooking. Close to a fantastic dog friendly beach. Good walking straight from the doorstep. Friendly local community and excellent pubs nearby for eating out.

The cottage is obviously very well looked after. It was spotless. Everything worked as expected. The facilities were well stocked. We had a lovely time.

Great weekend

Lovely Easter weekend spent at The Laurels. The cottage is in a great location and very warm and cosy. Even though the weather wasnt freezing we couldnt resist lighting the fire after a day out exploring Cornwall. Very clean and has everything that you need. Lovely little welcome basket with some Easter treats went down well. Will definitely stop here again.

The Laurels

What a gem The Laurels is. We enjoyed a long weekend at the cottage and had everything we needed. Lovely welcome package to arrive to after a long drive and lots of information about what to visit in the area. Beds were very comfortable and everywhere was spotlessly clean. Would definitely visit again. Five stars!

Great cottage

Lovely little cottage , handy for Porthtowan and Aggie. Be prepared to drive to eat or just use the great local cabs. OK so no WiFi or village pub but we had a great 5 days despite the weather. I'm grateful for a view of the North Cornish Coast and a clean cottage - nicely done all involved as a hassle free experience from booking to end of hols - thanks x

Cozy and relaxing

Really lovely short break. Used as a base to explore the villages and beaches. Very well equipped, beautifully clean and comfy. Only downside was no WiFi. With teenagers and very poor signal in the cottage, WiFi would have been appreciated, even if we had to have paid for it. Other than that, perfect!

Summer at The Laurels

Cottage a good combination of old fashioned and modern. Wonderful enclosed garden. Sunny porch. Back yard disappointingly drab. We did miss the internet: this is 2022!

We have considered WiFi in the cottage and have a mixed response some like the getaway feeling from their busy lives but we appreciate this would also benefit others so this is under careful consideration. Mount Hawk

Lovely terraced cottage tastefully decorated. Local pub has now closed so you need to drive. Local village shop is very handy just across the road. Around 10 min drive to St Agnes which is a really nice spot. Did miss not having Wi-Fi and the on street parking for more than one car is tricky.

Thankyou for your review great to have constructive feed back. Mount Hawke is a small village that has a regular bus service that will take you to st Agnes perranporth Truro and more local 1 mile to Porthtowan which has two restaurants on the beach and pubs fish and chips cafe gift shops and ice cream parlour with the stunning coastal path. Most guests arriving come in one car together and although parking is not designated we generally have never had any issues We have considered WiFi however still having mixed reviews some like tthe getaway and some don’t I am glad you enjoyed your stay and welcome you back

Hygge

The hyggelig cottage with a lot of cushions and cosiness was a nice place to stay. The kitchen was very well equiped, the warm water in the shower was instant and enough for 4 people and the beds were very cosy and we could sleep very well...the only thing was the missing wifi, were we would have liked a remark in the description, that there is no wifi/internet...we read our newspapers over the internet and for planning trips etc it would have been important and for us essential...we actually wouldn t have booked if we knew there was no internet.....the signal for mobile internet was sadly too weak for research etc, so that we had a bit of a problem there.... Otherwise a very great place to stay...thank you very much...

Das Cottage war noch schöner und gemütlicher als auf den Fotos abgebildet. Wir haben uns sehr zu Hause gefühlt. Die Lage ist zur Erkundung der umliegenden Orte und Strände hervorragend und unsere Kinder haben sich riesig über die vorhandenen Bodyboards gefreut. Wir können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Wirklich sehr gemütliches Cottage mit allem, was man braucht. Ein sehr guter Strand ist in Porthtowan nur ca. 5 Autominuten entfernt. Besonders kamen uns die 4 Bodyboards entgegen, die wir ausgiebig in den Wellen genutzt haben und auch die Feuerschale kam zum Einsatz. Einziges Manko war ein fehlender Geschirrspüler. Im Urlaub mit Selbstverpflegung möchte man auf Handspülen gerne verzichten ...

Charming and delightful cottage - The Laurels

This cottage has just about everything one could possibly want in a holiday cottage. The owners have thought very carefully about what should be available on the premises and we arrived with quite a few items that we thought we might need but all were already there! Absolutely delightful little house which was warm and very comfortable with several separate downstairs areas that allowed privacy if you want this. We hosted a family Christmas lunch for six adults (though only three staying) and it was just brilliant. If we need accommodation close to Perranporth again then this will definitely be our choice.
