The Gardener's House is pleasantly situated on a farm where the owners grow fruit trees (mango, avocado, almond ...). Far from mass tourism, you find peace and relaxation in a setting of exceptional beauty. The nearest beach is 3 km, the airport, railway station and motorway are nearby. The 2 air-conditioned rooms offer space to 5 people, as the dining room, equipped with more than a highchair. In the kitchen and the bathroom, you will find what you need for your holiday. Towels and linens are provided. You can park your car in the parking lot. Relax in the flower garden of this charming house. Take your breakfast on the terrace or have a barbecue there. A nice little staircase leads to the private pool. Athletes also enjoy the private tennis court. If you are traveling with your family, your children can have fun on the slides and swings.

Our family had an amazing stay at Matilde’s and Juan Carlos’s home. They were the most welcoming hosts and made us feel comfortable right away with their great communication! We felt well informed about the house and important details like where to get groceries and tasty treats. All of our questions were answered promptly and with great detail. The property was just as described and more. The home was thoroughly clean and comfortable, the beds were comfortable, and the pool was refreshing! I highly recommend relaxing and enjoying Málaga from this beautiful location.

Lovely peaceful stay

Tucked away in mountains North of Malaga. Nice and quiet. Good facilities, and the pool was great. the hosts were very friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed this cottage. It is very comfortable for two people. It rained during our stay so we did not use the pool or tennis court but they looked great. The house is separate from the main house and very quiet and private. We are here during November and the heating worked well. We have stayed at many vrbo units and I have to say that our hosts were the best we have encountered. They were very easy to contact, they answered very quickly and even gave us rides when needed because we were unable to rent a vehicle. Uber is also very responsive to this location, and will meet you just outside of the gate. The driveway is very long but a pleasant walk (and we are in our 70s). It was very quick to the central city. The grounds are attractive and there are multiple spots to hang out and enjoy the quiet rural atmosphere of this very relaxing location.

Wonderful Stay

My husband and I and one of our sons stayed at Finca Santa Matilde in early October. The house was exactly as advertised, private and separate from the family house, and very clean with everything we needed. Best of all was the warm welcome and helpfulness of our hosts, Juan Carlos, who greeted us, and Matilde, who was so knowledgeable and generous with suggestions. Juan Carlos met us near Pedregalejo Beach to lead the way. My husband was clearly a little rusty driving a standard and Juan Carlos was kind enough to direct us to the grocery via the easiest route and wait for us to pick up a few things. The beach, highway, Malaga, and nearby villages were all easily accessible with our car, but there’s also a reliable bus from Malaga that stops within walking distance, partly uphill. We slept well and every morning we had breakfast outside with a beautiful postcard view of the small valley and surrounding hills. We had the pool to ourselves every day. Every evening we parked at nearby Pedregalejo Beach to look at the sunset and have dinner. There are many beachside restaurants and chiringuitos from which to choose. The first night we were tired, so we just had camperos and drinks at Mafalda. Simple, very reasonable and fast. We took every one of Matilde’s suggestions for restaurants and day trips and were never disappointed. We were pretty sure upon arrival that we’d have a great stay, and we did. Thank you, Matilde and Juan Carlos!

Perfect place to be

Een plek om tot rust te komen. Het zwembadje is heerlijk, veel buitenruimte en supervriendelijke hosts. Goed om te weten dat de straatjes in de wijk smal en stijl zijn. Heel fijn is dat de bushalte (om naar het strand of het centrum te gaan) niet ver weg is.

Beautiful location and friendly hosts

Die Zufahrt zum Haus ist abenteuerlich, die Lage aber herrlich. Die Gastgeber bemühen sich von Anfang an sehr um Kommunikation und information. So waren wir für den Zeitraum unseres Aufenthaltes Teil eine WhatsApp Gruppe mit allen Geschwistern der Vermieter, damit immer einer sofort antworten konnte bei Fragen. Die Wohnung war gut ausgestattet, die Betten vielleicht etwas schmal für zwei Leute, aber insgesamt alles im Ordnung. Swimming Pool und Tennisplatz stehen zur Verfügung, die Terrasse ist im Schatten, also wenn es heiss ist wunderbar. Zum Frühstück im Oktober war es allerdings ein wenig zu kühl. Super waren auch die frisch geernteten Mangos und Granatäpfel direkt vom Baum. Ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt.

Great property, Great Hosts, Great Stay

This property is as described. Clean and well equipped. The hospitality and helpfulness of the hosts make the stay even better. Unless you are very fit “hikers” you will need a car as the property is on the outskirts of a village up a very steep track. This does make it all the more tranquil. Would recommend

An ideal location for a relaxing holiday

I really enjoyed my stay here. Matilde and Juan Carlos were so helpful and kind. They went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was enjoyable. The location is ideal. You feel in the country - surrounded by nature - and are very close to Málaga. I didn't even hire a car - it is possible to get the 34 bus, which goes from the city centre, to el Palo (the closest beach and nice reasonably priced restaurants) to La Mosca (the house) It is possible to walk to el Palo from the house also. (although I usually got the bus back home to avoid walking up the hill! 😉) I look forward to returning again soon.

Peaceful retreat with views

Wonderfully peaceful location with mountain behind and yet not far by car or bus to Malaga if you can tear yourself away from the pool, tennis court, and basketball. There is plenty of seating areas, outside dining, and sun loungers in a choice of sun or shade. Whilst the pool was a little too cold for us to use during our stay, in the height of summer this would not doubt be a haven in the heat of the day. Very friendly and helpful owner.

A beautiful place to stay

The house was in a wonderful location in the countryside yet not far from the city, surrounded by mango and avocado trees. It is very quiet and peaceful. We had a lovely stay in the house and were made very welcome by Matilde, Juan Carlos and Maria Dolores. I was on a Spanish intensive course in Malaga, and Matilde and Maria Dolores kindly offered to give me extra Spanish speaking practice in the evenings, which was very helpful. They were also very generous, bringing gifts of mangoes and avocados, which were lovely. They also gave us advice about where to visit and which restaurants are good. We can thoroughly recommend a stay in this property.

Sehr schön gelegenes kleines Haus in einer Mango- und Avocado-Farm

Freundliche und hilfsbereite Vermieter. Wohnung liegt ruhig, sehr erholsam, auch wenn Malaga Zentrum nur ca. 7 km entfernt ist. Eigenes Auto ist sehr zu empfehlen. Ansonsten alles sauber und unkompliziert.

Kleine, maar prima woning vlakbij Malaga.

We had a very good stay at this place nearby Malaga. There is a nice terrace, the people from the home are very kindly. Only one thing we didn't like: there were people from France in the house above us. They talk loudly by skype at the terrace and watched television with windows open and with the sound of the television very very loud. But that was (I hope for everyone) a incident. For the rest everything was perfect for us!!

Nous avons passé un séjour inoubliable. Mathilda et Juan Carlos vous accueillent trèschaleureusement

La propriété est très bien située. Nous sommes au calme et pourtant très proche de Malaga centre et ses plages. Si vous voulez vous reposez c’est l’idéal on a même parfois l’impression que l’on est dans une petite villa privative. Rien à redire non plus sur le ménage. Nous recommandons sans problème. Encore merci pour ce beau séjour Christelle et Sébastien
