Beautiful Private Home with Stunning Views of Opunohu Bay

Nestled into a lush hillside, Fare Marama is a beautiful private home, offering magnificent views of Opunohu Bay and the surrounding mountain peaks of Moorea.

The home consists of 2 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, great room and kitchen.

There is a King size bed in the master bedroom, and Queen size bed in the guest bedroom. The home can accommodate 4 adults or a family of 4 very comfortably.
The main bathhouse has a large single shower, two sink vanity, and toilet.
A half bathroom is located off of the primary bedroom.

The home offers a fully equipped kitchen which was completely renovated in 2025. The kitchen and living areas are part of a great room, which offers vaulted ceilings, and numerous windows that capture the incredible views of Opunohu Bay.

A wrap around deck with a table & 4 chair set, 2 loungers, and a gas BBQ, are also available for your enjoyment. The deck is the perfect place to take in the incredible views from the home, while enjoying your favorite beverage or dining al fresco.
The private yard surrounding the home is mature, with a variety of island plants, fruit trees and flowers.

You will find ceiling and floor fans placed in all of the rooms, to catch the island's breezes.
Please note: The home IS NOT air conditioned.
You will find a large television in the living room, along with a few games.

The house is equipped with a full size washer and dryer, and all bath towels, beach towels and linens are provided.

Wifi/Internet is also available at the home free of charge.
However, no telephone service is provided.

A unique feature of the home is that it offers both 110V and 220V outlets. Which makes it very convenient for our U.S. guests to charge their various electronic gadgets.

The closest beach is a short 5 minute drive from the house. This beach will give you access to swim in Opunohu Bay which the house overlooks.

Grocery stores and restaurants are a 10 minute drive from the home.
The home is quite secluded on a private mountainside, so a rental car is a must.

The home & views are stunning. The location is very convenient to one of the best beaches on the island. The host was extremely responsive and gave us great check in info. We loved the extra touches…homemade banana bread, starter water, aromatics and a very well equipped kitchen. We really enjoyed our time here. I would add 2 things to the listing…potable water not available & to go very slowly when entering the driveway. We rubbed our grill almost every time.

This VRBO was amazing. The owner was very quick to reply, and gave lots of suggestions on activities, restaurants, and other things to do & see. The house has an amazing view and was immaculately cleaned when we arrived. There's a ton of privacy as well. 11/10 experience, we will be booking this house again when we visit Moorea next!

What an incredible place to stay whilst visiting this beautiful piece of paradise. The house is lovely, clean, tidy and has everything you need. The views are breathtaking and you truely can relax here. The hosts were fantastic providing us with all the information on the property and activities, restaurants etc in the area. I took this property for the view and the hillside jungle setting. I was not disappointed. I also appreciated the multiple American style outlets so I did not have to use adapters for all my electronics.

Lovely private hillside home

This place was great. Lots of space. Amazing views in every direction. Very private and relaxing. Close to a nice public beach. Central to restaurants and activities. We would definitely recommend it.

Beautiful and clean

This house is in a great location to things to do on the island. The house is absolutely stunning and was very clean. It’s true there is a steep driveway but it’s short and our little rental car did just fine. I would stay here again!

Great Stay with Amazing Views

This home was in a beautiful location and was very spacious. The check-in process was very easy as well. We went in the summer and it was hot but the fans made it manageable. The deck with the view of the bay was amazing, and our favorite part of the entire stay! I would recommend to anyone looking to stay on the north coast of Moorea!

Great location & Excellent stay

This was an amazing experience to enjoy the island. Centrally located on the North shore .. close to everything including groceries and food options. Our host supplies us with an extensive list of restaurants/ activities which helped tremendously. Enjoyed the birds singing and rooster crowing. Onsite laundry was a life saver as outdoor activities can soil clothes quickly. Enjoyed ourselves and the entire experience.

Beautiful home

The views are the most spectacular on the island, close to food & any activities. Local public beach was great, a little sea weed on windy days but overall a fantastic experience. The owner was very attentive, as was Selma (the housekeeper) . 5 stars, can’t wait to come back.

Another great stay!

This our our second time to Mo’orea and second time to stay at this lovely property! It a dream with breath taking views and halfway between everything the island has to offer. The house cleaner and maintenance man were both very nice and accommodating.

We loved every minute of our time here, great amenities, and Veia was not only a super responsive host who gave great suggestions of things to do but tremendously helpful when we had some flight delays. I cannot say enough about how amazing the views are, the property has great proximity to hikes over at belvedere and access to local beaches. Highly recommend!

Wonderful View and Location

This property was spacious and had the best view of Opunohua Bay! Wonderful sunsets! The area is quiet and the back of the home facing the bay. There is no air conditioning, but many fans throughout the home. After the sunsets the house gets cooler. There is plenty of space for 2-4 people. There is a steep drive up to the home, but after doing it a few times is is easier. The host is wonderful, flexible, and quick to respond to questions. We enjoyed our stay. cooler.

My name is Veia. My husband Matt & I are the proud owners of 'Fare Marama' on the beautiful island of Moorea.
'Marama' is our Tahitian married name, that was given to us by my family on our wedding day.
I was born on the island of Tahiti but grew up on Maui. My Mother was also from Tahiti, and I still have quite a bit of family there.
While growing up, I spent many Summers in Tahiti and Moorea. Moorea was a favorite destination for my Dad and I, and it was always a dream to be able to own a home there one day. That dream was fulfilled in 2015 with the purchase of 'Fare Marama'.
We truly love our home away from home, and look forward to welcoming you as a guest very soon!
Matt and I and our three children reside in Maui, Hawaii.

I fell in love with this property and home when I first saw it in 2008. However, it was not for sale at that time.
In 2015 the stars aligned, when we discovered that the original owners were ready to sell. The rest as they say is history, and we feel so blessed to be the owners of this lovely and unique home.
