Very Relaxing!

This was the perfect family vacation. It was all the comforts of home and more. The kids enjoyed swimming and boating, but also enjoyed the fact that they still had internet and satellite tv! Jason (the owner), has anticipated every need, so much so, that we kept noting that we had packed things that were already there for us to use. Our dog loved the freedom, and the ability to explore everywhere without being on a lead. It was peaceful and very private. We will definitely be booking another week again! Thank you again Jason!

Lovely Island

Our dogs had an amazing time running free, jumping off the docks, and chasing the kayak in the water. Jason is great and really kind/helpful.

Amazing weekend

I’ve been to this cottage three years in a row now for a boys weekend and every year has been amazing. Jason is amazing to deal with and extremely helpful and accommodating. The deck is huge and the water is as warm as my pool so we spend a majority of our time on the dock and in the water. A ton of things are provided like toilet paper mosquito coils plates 3 freezers and 2 fridges for drinks and food and a bbq at the deck so you do not have to leave the sun. Looking forward to the trip next year! - Tyler Pierog

Wonderful getaway!

Had a great time at the cottage last week! It had all the amenities and features we were looking for - more than we even anticipated. Jason was a wonderful host as he gave us a tour of the cottage, island and the lake upon arrival. It was a great opportunity for us to disconnect from everyday life and enjoy the peace and solitude of the island. With 4 kids and a dog, there was plenty of room at the cottage. Everyone enjoyed the kayaking and canoeing and spending all day at the dock. We bbq’ed every night and cooked s’mores at the campfire. A very memorable vacation and we hope to return next summer!

Peaceful Vacation

Our family of 6 and our pups thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the island. If you’re looking for rest and relaxation this is the place! The lake is very quiet, the island is secluded and the property has everything you can possibly need. The kitchen is well stocked, the mattresses are very comfortable, having 2 BBQ’s (one on the deck and one on the dock) is handy as well as the fridge/freezer on the dock. We brought our own boat but it’s definitely not necessary. The main highlight for our teenagers was the basketball net on the dock! Jason’s communication was excellent before and during our stay. We hope to return and would highly recommend this beautiful piece of paradise.

AWESOME ISLAND RETREAT!

A vacation normally only comes once a year and the location plays a vital role on how you enjoy it. This Island Retreat is AWESOME! Jason the owner was there to meet us at the Government Dock to take us to the Island in the Pontoon Boat that we also arranged to use for the week. He gave us a Royal Welcome! We were given a full tour of the Lake & Waterways. He pointed out all the good fishing spots! Upon arrival at the Islands huge Dock he unloaded and helped carry our luggage up to the Cottage. The Rustic Cottage was in Pristine condition! It is nestled into the trees at the top of the Island. There is a Picture Window view of the Sunset from the Living room complete with a Wood Burning Stove, Big Screen HD TV and a great Internet connection! The 3 br's were a good size. The Bathroom had a good size shower with lots of hot water. The Fully equipped Kitchen includes a separate freezer along with the refrigerator. There is a huge Deck the full width of the Cottage with a Gas BBQ, Umbrella Table & 6 Chairs. and Sliding Doors from the Living Room with a fantastic view of the Sunset! The island also has a Separate Sandy Beach. The Island is completely Private! You are surrounded by Forested Land and water. There is a Large raft just off the Big Deck. The Big Deck (20' x 20') also has a BBQ, an Enclosed Cabana with Refrigerator, and Lounge Chairs. There is a huge Fire Pit for Evening Fires! At the end of our week Jason came up to make sure we were good to go! We easily give Jason 5 Stars for his Service and his Amazing Island Retreat! Thank you Jason! We'll be back!

Excellent Family Vacation

My wife and I and our two teenage sons and our dog just returned from an incredible summer vacation on the island. We could not believe the quiet and the privacy. You have the wonderful island all to yourself to swim or fish or relax on the dock or at the beach. Our dog loved the freedom to roam the island. The cottage has all that you need for a great family vacation. Highly recommend this property.

Clean, well stocked incredible island property

We spent 2 weeks at this cottage and loved every minute of it. The island is private with plenty if space to explore. And the best part of an island is there is always shade or sun if you want. Multiple swimming areas and great fishing. We caught many pickeral and sm bass. We were a family of 5 and overall an amazing holliday and highly recommended.

Stop searching for any other place!

We just returned from two weeks at Jason's island oasis. To say he has thought of everything, is an understatement. He HAS thought of everything!!! From bakeware to dishes, to spices!!! RnR Island is beyond relaxing, and it is incredible. If you are looking for a secluded, quiet place to recharge as a family this is it! We have three kids and we all fit into the cabin comfortably and even had another couple up for a few days with more than enough room. Our three year old loved having the freedom to roam, and I NOT ONCE worried about him. From cliff diving, to fishing, to frog hunting, this island has it all. In fact, it is hard to tell which was better, the mornings at the dock or the evenings on the deck. However, my favorite spot at all times was the beach-affectionately called "the little lake". We had such an amazing time. It was the most relaxed we have been in years and great to disconnect from TV and all things wifi (even though Jason has those covered.) This is the first of many summers on this island. Do not miss your chance to stay in this paradise.

Great little cabin and deck on an island

My friends and I had a fantastic time on this island. Jason took us for a tour around the lake in his pontoon when we arrived which was very cool. The deck is huge with plenty of room for various activities, the inside is very clean, and the island is very well maintained. We all thoroughly enjoyed the trip and would strongly recommend it.

Highly Recommend!

Brilliant week!Upon arrival, we checked in with his property manager, Mike, who made us feel right at home.He took us down the road, Jason was waiting with the boat, to take us over to the island.Once we arrived, we received a tour of the island & the cottage.Jason was so thorough & answered all our questions before we even thought to ask them.A very nice touch, one we appreciated was when he offered to take us around the lake on a tour.Jason knows his stuff & he is a pleasure to be around & listen to! The cottage is immaculate & I can't think of one thing I was missing.I love to cook,& this kitchen was the most well equipped kitchen I have seen in any self-catering place.Baking sheets, sharp knives, scissors, corkscrews, serving spoons, it has it all. The kitchen has a double sink, huge fridge with bottom mount freezer, ceramic top stove, chest freezer & water cooler.Adjacent to the kitchen is an 8 person table, & the living room.The cottage has a telephone & television with satellite service.There was an air conditioning unit as well.There is a 3 piece bathroom (no bathtub), the shower has excellent water pressure with hot water.There are three bedrooms & there is also a Bunkie outside.I brought my own linens & towels, but I do believe this is offered at the cottage for a small fee.Directly through the sliding glass doors off the living room is a huge deck, with a patio table & chairs,& also a gazebo in case of rain/sun.We spent our mornings/early afternoon dockside as this is where the sun is this time of day.Sitting here, you don't see a cottage in sight.It is so beautiful & relaxing.There is a huge dock with a row boat & paddle boat.You can swim or fish right off the dock.This is also where the fire pit is located.Jason has taken care of every detail on the island,& the dock is no exception.There is a fridge, table & chairs, shelter & a BBQ down at the dock.Late afternoons were spent at the beach side of the island.The water here is wade in with a sandy bottom.The kids loved the play dock on the beach.There is a canoe at the beach,& the kids enjoyed canoeing easily around the island.The island itself is beautiful & serene, with many trees & a few trails for exploring.The kids also had a blast jumping off a small cliff into the water.Overall, this cottage exceeded my expectations & we would not hesitate to recommend it to others.Thank you Jason for offering your cottage to us & making our vacation memorable!

Private quiet beautiful and very comfortable. Going back next year

Our kids had a blast. Small cliff jump, to the beach, to the dock, out in the paddle boat and fishing. They didn't want to stop. We all slepted very well. The beds are very comfortable. All the comforts of home and more. Jason and his property manager Mike are the best. Very helpful and delightful to deal with. I wish we could have stayed longer. Mike we will be at your place next year for dinner! Thank you Jason for letting us stay on your private island!! RNR Island was the best cottage we have every rented. I think we have found our summer vacation spot. We just needed to have a boat for next year!! Thanks again. Carlo, Andrea, Britney, Carson, Sofia, Simone and of course Jessie (woof)

Memories made to last a lifetime, this island is PERFECT!

I booked the island and went along with a few friends to enjoy a vacation away. Jason picked us up and helped get to the island, he even toured us around the lake because we wanted to see the good fishing spots. This island is beautiful!!!!! It's so private, you get to see the sunrise AND the sunset if you want both! It's completely self contained, has a HUGE dock, with everything you need to cook right down on the dock! There's an extra bunkey for sleeping, the private beach was a perfect option if you want to lay in the sand for a little bit. This place has it all. We're 100% going back next year and can't wait. What an absolutely perfect place!!!

Paradise Island... There is nothing quite like this!!!

An impeccable experience. Jason is a great host and treated us very well. He walked me through everything we needed to know prior to our arrival so we were fully prepared. He was kind enough to make himself available on the first day and show us around the lake. It’s fair to say on our departure day we were pretty torn that our stay at this beautiful island was over. There is so much to do here, from laying on the beach, swimming around the lake, to canoeing, exploring the islands around, having a bonfire and gazing at the stars or simply relaxing on the deck and enjoying the peace and quiet. Not only you will have a blast but your pets would love the liberty of running around and enjoying their freedom. We couldn’t ask for a better getaway… I would go back in a heartbeat. Thanks Jason for making your place available to us. :)

Little paradise!

We had such a good time on the island. 3 adults, 5 kids and one dog. Jason obviously loves his island and you have no choice but to fall in love with it when you get to his little paradise. He was really generous of his time and made everything possible to make our stay even more enjoyable. Kids had a blast, they were never bored. Cottage was very clean, everything we needed (and way more) was available. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Wonderful place to get away from it all

We had a great time on R&R Island, very private, huge decks and docks to relax, rustic cottage with everything you need, awesome fire pit and a 360 degree view to die for. Being surrounded by nature lets you relax. Have a swim of the small sandy beach, canou around the lake or just relax on the hammock. Great place to visit. Thanks Jason and Mike, you were great hosts. Piece Of Heaven

Our Family has Vacationed at The Island for over 30 Years!! Life can be busy, but one thing that has always remained constant was heading North to Random Reach!!! We couldn't imagine a summer holiday without it!! We love the freedom the island seclusion brings, not only are you not being disturbed your Not disturbing anyone either!! With all the vantage points this island provides your never at a loss to find something to do. From swimming at the beach, reading a book at the dock or simply throwing a line out to Fish!! All in the safe confines that an island provides. Jason has always made sure our stay is Welcomed, and has gone out of his way to provide all the qualities of life to make our stay a great one!! Though we will miss the rustic feel of the cottage, the upgrades are welcomed and its exciting to hear about the new additions coming each year!! Jason has a plan to make this vacation experience one you wont soon forget!! Its comforting to know the ownership is reinvesting in this valueable piece of Heaven!!! We looked forward to a new adventure everyday ....Paddle boating, canoeing, WaterSkiing , or Hitting Golf balls off the dock...theres always something to do!!! But the evening BBQs and bombfires were always the best way to end the day!!! IF you think you have seen STARS at night, just wait till you see what this Island has to offer!! You will find yourself stargazing for hours at night!!! Thanks again Jason, we are thrilled to come back every year!! Goodluck with New guests, and I'm sure its only a matter of time before you will have some more rave reviews!!! Cant wait for our week in June this year!!!!!! Perfect Getaway!

We have stayed at "Random Reach"every year for past 8 years, and we love it! The sunset views, privacy, great boating & fishing, wildlife, and scenery is absolutely fantastic! If your looking to escape the city noise, and be in touch with nature, this is the perfect place to do so. It has all of the luxuries of home, recent upgrades, and we can't wait to go again this year. Thank you Jason for sharing your piece of heaven with us!

Breath-taking views and falling to sleep with the songs of the loons!!

We had such a fantastic vacation at this island paradise!! The nature walks, fishing adventures, water sports and the scenic countryside are second to none!! The near-by golf course and local restaurants are amazing. We had a large group of friends with us and the pictures and memories will last a life-time.....Thanks so much Jason for everything you did for us and for making this one of the best vacations we have had !!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The best benefit about vacationing on an island is that bears, wolves and other bothersome animals wont stress you out or inhibit your vacation. That doesn't mean you won't see any wildlife. Bear, deer, moose and even bald eagles (the last couple years especially) along with all other northern wildlife can be seen from the dock. It's all about being in the right place right time.
Unique, how about watching tv on the dock while having a fire or fishing. Watching your favorite show or sporting event while watching the kids swim and play at the beach.
Oh ya did I mention the whole island has wireless internet.
I almost forgot there is also the BIG benefit of less bugs compared to the mainland (on average 2/3 less) . I also fog the island twice a year and have a propane mosquito trap that runs 24/7 all summer.
