Hi Astrid - I'm sorry it's taken me so long to respond to your kind review. Yes, it was extremely hot when you were there - over 40 most of the week. I think it was Italy's warmest ever July - fortunately by August when we got there it had calmed down a lot. I'm glad you had a good stay, despite the horrible heatwave! Best wishes, Lucy

Dear Sabina - thank you for the review. I really appreciate it when people take the time to tell us how we can improve. I will reach out separately to get more details on the cleaning situation. That’s not good at all and I’m really sorry. Normally it’s great, so I’ll find out what’s gone wrong. But I’m glad you had a good holiday :) Lucy LATER: as we’ve discussed, it turns out the previous renters left the house in terrible shape, so the team struggled to do all that was needed. But as we’ve discussed separately, no excuse. Various strategies now being deployed to make sure renters do their bit, and that it doesn’t happen again. Very best wishes. Lucy

Hello there I’m so sorry that you found some elements of the house not up to standard. We always try to explain to our guests that this is a rustic farmhouse, not a luxury villa. But have taken your point, and have just bought a new set of pool furniture, and will get an election to look at all the appliances. With a big house, and a lot of guests, things get broken, and I’m not always told about it. Thank you for your feedback: it’s how we get better, and I appreciate the effort to help us - and other guests. Best wishes.
