Overpriced Rental
We moved here from Kansas and needed a place to stay till the house we were buying was available, and rented this sight unseen. This was the only house available for short term rental at the time. Since it was a vacation rental, we were expecting a real nice place for the extra money, but were sadly disappointed. Because of the return policy we were under lease for a month. Good things first: the house has a great view of the mountains from the back and is located in a nice quiet neighborhood. It was a good sized house with ample room, a good floor plan, a 2 car garage. Mike the property manager was nice and helpful with problems we had.
The not so good: when we arrived in the evening the thermostat wasn't working so the first night was uncomfortably warm; replaced batteries in thermostat the next day. The floors were dirty. The master bath was in need of a good cleaning also. The showers leaked bad enough they had little pressure. Several lights were burned out or not working. The furniture was run down, torn and broken. The washer was dirty, noisy, and had a bad odor. The dryer vent was unhooked and had been blowing lint all over the laundry area in the dirty garage. The windows in the master bedroom needed seals and whistled when the wind blew. The trees rubbed on the wall in the bedroom making a wierd noise during the night. Overall the house just needed some attention that it had not had in quite a while. I would not rent this property again unless the owner made an effort to clean and fix it up.
