Buzzard is located on the Portnellan Estate and offers tasteful 4 star self catering accommodation sleeping for up to 4 people within 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a beautiful open plan living, dining and kitchen area leading onto a private decking with sensational views of loch and glen.

Situated in the heart of the central Highlands of Scotland with spectacular loch, glen and mountain views all around Buzzard's setting is magnificent where a true highland landscape awaits you and it is often complimented on the abundance of bird and wild life that can be regularly seen. It is not unusual to see the deer meandering off the hill and passing nearby the property.

Buzzard comprises of 2 bedrooms with a configuration of a king sized double and twin bedroom both ensuite. We pride ourselves on our beds as a holiday would not be a holiday without a great night's sleep. Buzzard is fitted with 2000 spring, pocket sprung, hotel grade mattresses with Cashmere top.

An open plan fitted kitchen and dining area with all mod cons including dishwasher, washing machine, oven/hob, microwave and under counter separate fridge and freezer, dining area with table and chairs. Step through to your fully glazed large living area and sink into a deep, comfy Duresta suite with views across the loch and the dramatic and rugged mountains of Glen Dochart.

Step from this area onto a private wooden decking with garden furniture and a spectacular glen and loch view nestled between surrounding mountains.

The chalet is equipped with a LCD TV with freeview SKY, Blu Ray DVD, Wi-Fi is available free of charge as well as BBQ hire.

There is even an onsite visitor centre with a small essentials shop, fresh organic meat from a farm locally for sale (perfect for a BBQ or home cooking), home made by Lucy ready made meals, local information, a varied selection of board games and DVDs.

The Portnellan Estate has been privately owned by the same family for nearly 40 years and offers fantastic facilities including fresh run wild salmon and trout fishing on the estate lochs and river, mountain bikes with plenty of trails on and off road for all abilities, a games room with table tennis, table football, pool table and a small gym. Canadian canoes, kayaks and rowing boats are free to use on the river and loch. Clay pigeon shooting can also be arranged.

Portnellan Estate is the perfect base for exploring Central/West Scotland with known landmarks only a short distance away. Oban 45 minutes, Stirling, Fort William and Glasgow just over 1 hour and Edinburgh a 90 min drive. Glen Coe and all it beholds is less than 40 mins drive and the bonnie shores of Loch Lomond are 20 mins by car. Other areas include the truly beautiful Glen Lyon and Loch Tay, Glen Etive, Glen Lochay and Glen Orchy all within the local area.
