Fisherman's Dream! Directly on the beautiful Watauga River! Walk in access!

Fisherman's Dream is ideal for any fisherman, family or corporate getaway. We offer a beautiful lot with wade out fishing, mountainous views and the tranquility we all need these days. Property includes all linens, fully equipped kitchen, washer & drier, gas grill, TV & WiFi, and both a gas and wood burning fire pit. All you have to pack is your fishing pole and personal items. If you forget your gear or need new gear, our property is located DIRECTLY across the road from Appalachian Outpost. They have a ton of fishing supplies and are very informative!

Fisherman's Dream has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed that will sleep 2. The other two bedrooms each have 2 full sized beds that could easily allow this property to sleep 10!

Located just 5 minutes to the quaint city of Elizabethton, you can find great local eateries such as the famous Ridgewood BBQ. If you don't want make the trip to town or fry your catch of the day, delivery is available. The grocery store and package stores are 5 minutes away, yet you still have the tranquil setting of a mountain retreat! It is truly the best of both worlds.

Bristol Motor Speedway is only 15 minutes away!! It 's a perfect way to spend race weekend; fish in the day and race at night!!! Roan Mountain State Park, Watauga Lake, and the Jonesborough Storytelling Festival are also very convenient to this property.

The Watauga River offers the some of the best trout fishing in the entire USA! With approximately 2000 fish per acre (yes, you read that correctly). Trout species in the Watauga River are Rainbow, Brook and Brown. There are also various non-game species. This property is almost halfway down the river. It is perfect for taking a lunch break, refilling the cooler, or just stretching your legs before you continue down stream.

Did I mention that right outside the back door of this property is what I call "The Church Hole?" Fisherman almost always stop to fish this location and usually catch something. You can also sit on the bank and just cast a few if you aren't up for wading in the river.

We loved our quick stay here. The house was very spacious, well stocked and clean. The views were beautiful from all rooms in the house and we really enjoyed sitting on the back porch watching/listening to the river. We plan to book again.

The kitchen appeared to be fully equipped. I didn’t cook while there.There was plenty of space for us. We enjoyed the open concept. Sitting by the river and next to the fire pit was nice as well.

We loved this place! The back yard is beautiful and there’s plenty of outdoor seating to relax and enjoy the property. Indoors as well, it was larger than I expected. We had family in the area and they came over for dinner. It was a total of 9 people and there was plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen is well supplied and we were able to cook a few meals without any problem. Beds were super comfortable. Heat was great even though it was in the 20s outside. Very clean. Highly recommend for a couple nights with a few friends and family.

House and hosts were wonderful! Very convenient to amenities and excellent fishing. Hosts were super helpful and made sure we had a comfortable stay. We definitely recommend staying here.

No propane for the fireplace feature on the back deck. Only one days wood for the firepit.House was very clean including floors, kitchen and bathrooms.Towels clean but sheets, pillowcase and comforters need updates.Difficult to open key box. Numbers difficult to enter without significant pressure.

This property very well maintained, fully functional with all amenities, highly responsive owner. The front of the property simply appears as a nice house just off Broad St. But the back of the house, yard, firepit, directly on the river with easy wading access makes it special for the fisherman.

Family fun and softball!

We were in town for softball nationals, but this home was the highlight of our stay. Our stay at this Tennessee riverfront home was nothing short of perfect. The property sits right on the water, offering stunning views from sunrise to sunset. The beautifully landscaped grounds felt like something out of a magazine — lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and perfectly maintained outdoor spaces made it a joy just to walk around. Whether sitting on the deck with a morning coffee or relaxing by the river in the evening, the environment was peaceful and restorative. The gentle sounds of the water, the fresh air, and the privacy of the location made it an ideal place to unwind. If you’re looking for a scenic and truly relaxing escape, this home is a gem.

Couldn’t get key out of box. Son got it out. Before leaving couldn’t get the key box opened- finally after several tries son got it. Dishwasher about to fall out of cabinet.

Fisherman's Dream

The house was beautiful. Only think you need are toiletries, food and the rest is provided. Just spending time on porch watching the river go by was so relaxing.My daughter loved the hammock, and took a nap in it. Really enjoyed the stay and planning on booking again

Oh, this was bad

I was sorely disappointed to get here and find the disgusting kitchen. Two of the burners on the stove needed the drip trays replaced. Beyond the cleaning stage. Opened the oven to find a sheet pan with 4 old baked potatoes, coated in butter or something. I threw the whole thing away. Toaster, every handle in the place, counters, table, all grimy. Owner offered to send someone to clean, but who wants to watch an angry cleaning person cleaning again, and we didn't want to leave our stuff with an angry cleaning person, either. I traveled 600 miles to clean a kitchen! The grill was the same. A beer bottle with cigarette butts in it sat on the grill. Empty beer box on the porch. Just a horrible thing to walk into. I felt compelled to clean up so that I wouldn't be charged for leaving it a mess! Pop cup in the driveway. Wet papertowels in the sink. Stones in the dryer, which had 1" of lint in the lint trap. There were no dish rags or sponges to clean anything, so we went to WalMart. You are welcome to the next guest. The owners did initiate a refund of our cleaning fee and one day's rental, but it went to a closed account, so now that fight begins. A beautiful home in a great location. The owners are just a little lacking in upkeep and cleaning. They allowed the previous renters to stay too long with no thought to the time it would take to clean things up. They allowed 3 hours of cleaning for what should have been given 3 days! Anyway, will never, ever return.or grease

Thanksgiving trip

This is our 3rd. Thanksgiving stay. We choose Fisherman’s dream for the views, fishing and the house is always clean and decorated with a cute cabin feel with the closeness of town a few min. Away. Just watch out for the bear in the kitchen in the middle of the night. If you don’t believe us book a stay and find out for yourself.

Beautiful backyard

We stayed at this lovely property for two nights while visiting our son at ETSU. The house was very clean. We really enjoyed the rocking chairs and propane fireplace on the back porch. It was wonderful to sit out there in the mornings with our coffee. It rained a bit during our visit, so we didn’t get to make use of the fire pit. There were plenty of towels and most other necessities. Make sure to bring soap, shampoo, and conditioner, as that is not provided. The master bedroom mattress seemed a little worn, but the other beds were newer and comfortable. Overall, we all really enjoyed our stay and would come back again in the future. Thank you!
