Perfect vacation spot in the beautiful Adirondacks on crystal clear Canada Lake. Sleeps up to 10. Sunny dock with steps to sandy shallow water, perfect for kids and adults. Swim, boat, fish, kayack, hike, right outside your door. Birdwatching (bald eagles, loons, hummingbirds.) Or just relax on one of two porches and enjoy the peace and quiet.Golf less than a mile. One hour from Albany, Saratoga, Cooperstown. Or drive to the high peaks for the day! Cable, wifi, full kitchen, 1 1/2 baths. Linens only provided for seven days or more unless previously arranged. Seven night minimum in July and August

Beautiful lake

We had a wonderful time here in Canada Lake, the lake water is clear and not too cold even though it was only June! We really enjoyed ourselves and did several of the hikes that were recommended by the owner. The owner was very quick to get back to us for questions too!

Relaxed, Rested, and Restored :)

If you are looking for cozy English charm wrapped with a rustic feel then the lake home on Canada Lake is the perfect find for you. Betsy is the most gracious hostess who goes beyond the call of duty for all of her lake house guests. This was my absolutely first time renting on VRBO (I was extremely anxious and nervous) and Betsy addressed and answered all of my concerns.

Adirondack Lakehouse

This is a cozy, rustic lakefront house. It was perfect! We are seniors (70's). The hosts responded to all questions in a timely manner. We had a wonderful, relaxing week. The clothes dryer was a bonus for towels, etc. We would like to thank the hosts for sharing their family's lakehouse. We hope to reserve on an annual basis.

Convenient and quiet waterfront cottage

We had a great time at the property. We just snuck out for a few days to check out what “lake life” would be like. The house is set on a hillside with a nice East view of Canada Lake. (not crazy steep, but steps up to the road and down to the water). It’s located at the end of the lake which made it generally quiet of boats and whatnot. Being here in late June we could just barely see the sunset over the horizon. I think outside this time of year it would set behind trees. Make plans to be on the water for sunsets! The house is old but well kept. The indoor dining and kitchen area is small but worked out ok for our group of 6. The living areas are nice. There are two bedrooms with full beds downstairs and a huge loft that is more newly renovated with room for 5 people. The dock is nice and the shore is fairly sandy. Parking for two cars at the house. Very relaxing place. Thx for hosting us!

Quiet, comfortable, exactly what we were looking for

Great view of the east end of the lake. Comfortable beds and furniture. Well equipped kitchen. House is located half way down the slope that runs from the road to the lake. Stairway to the house has some uneven step heights compared to modern standards. This was not a problem for us - a roughly 70 year old couple - but renters need to be aware in case there are mobility issues. Home has a screened area on a deck in case of bothersome insects. I recommend sitting in the chairs on the dock. The lake bottom near the dock is relatively weed free so swimming or wading would be free from tangles. Thanks for offering this property.

We love Canada Lake. Dave & Betsy are great host, very attentive & helpful. I’m sure we will be back and many of our visitors from this year will be interested in this place in the future. Thank you for a real good time!

Had its ups and downs!

The pictures led me to believe this property was far more handicap accessible than it is! Every trip in and out, which was daily was absolutely awful !!!!! The house was clean but the game room very cluttered including a large gas generator full of gas in the game room.

Even our crabby teens enjoyed it

This lovely cottage provided a restful get-away for our family of 4 and our small dog. So many thoughtful details and cozy comforts. The only drawback was that the water is well-water not city water, but everything else was basically magic. Even our crabby teens were enchanted by swimming off of the dock and stargazing at night. We loved this place and hope to return!

Nice cottage on a beautiful lake

We spent nine days on Canada Lake. The location of this cottage is excellent! There are plenty of activities on the lake and surrounding area. We recommend the hike up Kane Mountain to the observation tower. Also be sure to rent a boat from the marina across the lake, you can dock it right at the property. Very restful, we look forward to returning to the Adirondacks soon. Betsy was very accommodating, thank you so much.

Relaxing family time!

Found this place browsing VRBO, looked very inviting and perfect for my family. Lake is beautiful, few boats but with the location of the camp on one end the boats were never a problem. The weather was perfect, the dock spacious and a convenient set of stairs leading into the water. The area around the dock is sandy which is perfect! No rocks, etc to worry about! Nice fire pit located by the dock to enjoy a camp fire right next to the water. The camp has everything you need (even fans for hot summer nights!). TV, cable, internet, games, be as connected or unconnected as you want to be! Plenty of beds / bedrooms, large spacious living room and all the appliances you need. Betsy informed us of all we needed to know, made it be known she was available during the stay if we had any questions. Peaceful and relaxing!

Peaceful Paradise!

We had a great time on Canada lake! Betsy was very accommodating and the house was perfect! It has just the right amount of rustic with all the conveniences! The house is much bigger in person and our extended family fit perfectly. Would definitely rent again!

Great house, lake & hikes! Perfect family vacation

We really enjoyed the Cannon's Canada Lake house. Betsy was such a gracious host, making sure everything was ok & answering any questions. The house is clean, comfortable & rustic. We spent so much time swimming & the stairs off the dock were perfect for our 8 yr old Labrador, who was in & out of the water. Loved the chessboard, large screen tv for watching movies & hike to fire tower has amazing views. Perfect house for family vacation! We'd love to rent here again.

Clean, beautiful, and quiet!

I took 9 friends up for a writer's retreat. We loved the house and it was very clean when we arrived! We came during the off season so it was serene and QUIET! The stars were amazing and the sunrises breathtaking over the fall foliage. I highly recommend lunch at the Nick Stoner Inn and the nine corner hike! The owners are amazingly responsive and helpful. I hope to return one day!!!

Beautiful home right on the lake

I had about 10 people stay over and we all easily fit into this great home. We had such a fun weekend here and I personally did not expect such gorgeous views or even how close the house was to the lake. I would definitely love to come back and I highly recommend this place.

Perfect location on beautiful Canada Lake.

We already knew beautiful Canada Lake as we had a camp there for 8 years. So, we were excited for this rental. The location of the camp is simply perfect. It is situated towards one end of the lake and has sun for most of the day. Views from the dock and the camp, especially from the window seat, are gorgeous. The camp is larger than it appears in the photos. There is a nice, large living area downstairs along with two bedrooms, kitchen, and a sitting room with a small deck. The upstairs is very large with multiple beds and a 1/2 bath. Perfect for kids and larger families. It was just the two of us so we really only used the downstairs which was roomy, but cozy at the same time. There was one very chilly night and we took advantage of the wood burning fireplace - very nice. Water depth at the dock was plenty deep enough for our boat and there is a nice sandy area for swimming. Dave and Betsy were very accommodating and ensured we had everything we needed. We had a wonderful time and did not want to leave. We would rent this camp again in a heartbeat.
