Glad you found us and enjoyed your stay with us! Thank you for letting us know of this discrepancy. It’s a little disheartening getting a four star due to an error on VRBO’s end with an update they did. We have been with them for seven years and have not changed our address, of course. We have never had a guest have this problem before now. I just called in and had them change our address back! Hopefully this should never be an issue again. But now I know to check it from time to time, just in case!

It is apparent that someone did not read the listing prior to booking. In no way is this listing deceptive! It is spelled out every step of the way. It is also exactly as photo’d. But because you did not get what you had imagined it to be, we get a one star review. Which brings down our overall ranking. That is not fair to us! I do believe it is not what you had imagined it to be. I also know in my heart it is a described and photographed. I have not tried to mislead anyone. I try my hardest to project exactly what it is. Please actually read the Homestead description of what you booked then reread your review. Also see the many reviews from others who enjoyed their stay. It is very clear that there is a separate cooking area over by the campfire & BBQ. No it is not in the cabin. Only the coffee pot is in the cabin itself. The electric burner, microwave and all cooking supplies are,(and always have been) over by the campfire ring and BBQ grill.l in the cooking area. They have never been inside the cabin. The cabin just got electricity last year. That is straight from your imagination not me being deceptive. Nowhere is Little Trail Creek described nor photographed as a,”trout stream” it is what it is, a creek. It is larger in the spring run off and smaller in the middle of summer- like all mountain run off fed creeks. It does however, have trout in it. There is no ”lake” on the property. Nor is there a claim of a lake. There is a small pond, (as also shown in photos ) next to the cabin in the horse pasture. The windows are not caulked shut. They are caulked in place. They are original to the cabin and were never made to open. They are from a time well before windows opened. It also states clearly in the description the cabin is 150 yards from highway 89. Also you can see from our three other standard, modern listings the Sage, Lookout & Aspen cabins, that we do provide exactly what we advertise. The Homestead is a Glamping experience, not a modern day cabin. We offer this cabin for those who want a Montana/Yellowstone camping experience, with everything provided & to be able to offer reasonable rates. It is very disheartening to be penalized due to your lack of accountability. *Note to all potential future guests- Do not book the Homestead cabin if you have not read the listing description. If you want a modern cabin please see the Sage#1799828, Lookout #1216899 or Aspen #&51029 cabins, they are gorgeous, new cabins with modern conveniences! Let me know if you have any questions!
