Our contemporary home is situated on a clifftop overlooking Big Manly beach, with private beach access. The amazing panoramic views of the Hibiscus Coast are spectacular from the bedrooms, lounge, dining room and deck areas.

The fully equipped kitchen is open plan and opens to a large deck which is the perfect place to enjoy a BBQ and a glass of wine at the end of a busy day and watch the sunset.

This property can accommodate 6 guests.

On this same level as the living areas there are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other has two single beds and office area. There is a separate bathroom and toilet.

The large master bedroom on the top floor has a queen bed and a separate en-suite with toilet and shower.

On the ground floor is a fully equipped laundry, and off-street parking for two cars. No garaging facilities available.

All linen is included, along with beach towels and bathrobes / hairdryer if required.

The property managers live on site and are happy to answer any questions during your stay. There are no shared facilities.

Whangaparaoa Peninsular offers many beaches that are great for swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, jet skiing, fishing, sailing and yachting or you can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the beaches.

Great stay at Cliff top

We had a perfect place at the Cliff top to visit Auckland and the north. Really a beautiful place for vacation. Wonderful view, lovely rooms and interieur - absolutely to recommendate!!!

Great property with beautiful views and the cleanest VRBO we have visited. Well supplied with all necessary items and amenities. Sue was attentive to ensure that all our needs were met.

Stunning location

We had a fantastic stay at Ed and Sue's it was the perfect spot to get over jet lag and relax before continuing our visit to NZ. Very well maintained and clean, stunning views and access to the beach. Ed and Sue were fantastic hosts very helpful and available to answer any questions.

Lovely home

Beautifully appointed home, full of art and tastefully furnished. Great views across the bay and out to sea. Lovely hosts. Close to good restaurants and local walks as well as the huge Regional Shakespeare Park. We certainly recommend this as a place to stay.

Lovely Stay

This was our last stay in New Zealand and was by far the best, the most gorgeous home! We had everything we could need and then some. Sue and Ed were great hosts and we enjoyed our many conversations. The location was lovely, just what we needed to relax and unwind after a month of travel.

Beautiful house with views

Lovely house, interestingly decorated and designed. Very comfortable beds and very well equipped. Owners live below. Keeping young children quiet for the owners sake was important. Little outside space but lovely swimming beaches within walking distance.

Fabulous!!!!

We can not say enough great things about the hosts and the house! The pictures are accurate but even better in person! Super clean, comfortable beds, kitchen well appointed, and huge deck to grill and enjoy the beautiful NZ sunsets. Walk to the beach, or cafes in Manly Beach. If we are lucky enough to come back to this amazing country we will stay here! Thanks for everything!

We had really great days at Ed‘s and Sue‘s house. For us it was simply perfect. Great hosts!

When one looks out for a place that can be both a perfect starting point for trips around northland and a lovely place close to a nice beach with great views - well, then that‘s THE place. The house is just 150 meters away from a lovely, calm beach. And the morning starts with a great view over the bay. It is exactly how the pictures discribe it - and even better! Ed and Sue are lovely hosts. We spent our Christmas in their house. And they were so kind to leave presents for us. Especially for Germans one of the highest signs of hospitality. We stood for six days and easily could have spent more time. The whole architecture and interior is very generous, with a lots of light and plenty of space for everyone. All in all: a lovely place for everyone who arrives from a world trip and needs a great place to experience NZ.

Immaculate house, great location, incredible views!

The house was spacious, quiet, and very clean. Pictures don't do it justice. Sue has done an amazing job decorating - we loved all the artwork and cozy throws! Sue and Eddie were the most gracious hosts during our stay. My family of four spent a week during the winter and found that the house could easily have accommodated more people. We used the kitchen primarily for coffee and breakfast, but along with the outdoor grill it was ready for all sorts of cooking adventures. The location was perfect; it was the highest point in the area for spectacular views, but still an easy walk down to two pristine beaches (Manly or Tindalls). We particularly enjoyed being able to walk for dinner and drinks at the Manly Bar & Grill. The ferry to Auckland (and Tiritiri Matangi Island) was just a short drive and much easier than trying to drive into the city, especially for someone from Boston used to driving on the right! There’s also a lovely park for day hikes a few km past the ferry – we honestly felt like we never needed to leave Whangaparaoa. Winter was great, BTW (nice weather, no crowds). Highly recommended.

Wonderful property, awesome location and super host

We have stayed at this property before, so that says it all. Its a wonderful location and the property is ideal for families like ours. The host is kind and friendly and leaves so many little touches to makes the guests stay perfect. If they will have us, we will be back for sure.

Excellent hosts. Nice location with fantastic vjiews.

Ed and Sue are very friendly and accommodating hosts. Their house is spacious and well furnished. The views from the deck and windows around are fantastic. There is ample parking. The immediate surroundings are quite hilly, needs some energy to walk to and from the nearby beach. Due to a delay checking out from the Covid isolation facilities the family could not occupy the rental property on March 07 as booked but one day later, on March 08. We have requested a one day refund from the rental cost which has so far not been remitted.

As it states on our description we are Clifftop with steps access to the Beach..And most of Whangaparaoa is " Hilly " in parts as is most of NZ & various suburbs..Remittance for Delayed start to Vacation was done once we were furnished with the relevant e:mails from VRBO etc.. Which always takes time with them.. But hopefully all sorted now..

Amazing stay

From the first time we met Sue, she ensured we felt right at home. Much to her warm personality you could feel the warmth around the house. One of us became quite I'll and had to go to the hospital. Sue and ed really stepped in with genuine concern to see how they could help. If there was a 6 star I would tick that box. I will be staying here again. Sue and ed live downstairs. Trust me it's not a deterrent at all as you dont see or here from them unless you need it. Thank you so much for being such amazing hosts and making our stay so comfortable.

Reeves, You and your wife and friends were just the most amazing guests.. Having to deal with a very physical and emotional emergency, tests the best of us, especially when on a short break hoping to enjoy everything.. We only did what any other human being would have done, we tried to help..We would love for you all to visit again, And wish you and Soonam the very best..I'll have the ice in the freezer for you all ready to go with the guys supplying the alcohol ... lol.. Great location, super well appointed. Perfect for families with small children.

Ed and Sue were lovely hosts. Had everything we needed and much more. Would be a great place for an extended stay. Easy walk to Manly Beach. Would have loved screens on the windows (the mosquitoes love me) but they don't seem to be commonplace in NZ.

My friends and I were so fortunate to find such a wonderful place to celebrate the new year. Sue and Eddie were wonderful hosts and were very welcoming. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.
