Sojourn by the Sea at Salmon Creek Beach

*We are currently featuring a bottle of Sonoma County wine for your enjoyment.

This warm, comfortable, two-story home features three bedrooms with queen-sized beds, luxury linens, and additional futons and couches. There are two full baths and an additional vanity. Laundry facilities are on-site. On the living level there is a working fireplace, Dish TV, DVD player and CD music system, and wireless internet. On the lower level there is a second fireplace, Dish TV, VCR/DVD and a classic collection of DVDs and VHS movies. The kitchen is fully-equipped. There is outdoor parking for three cars only. This is a child-friendly home with safety gates at the stair tops. There are books, movies, toys and games to enjoy during your stay.

The creek and two miles of curving Sonoma Coast Beach is a three-minute walk from your door at Sojourn, in the quaint, quiet community of Salmon Creek, one mile north of Bodega Bay, California. You will experience an awe-inspiring view from the large deck and upper living area, including Pacific ocean waves, coastal hills, and the meandering Salmon Creek as it snakes its way to the sea.

At the coast, local activities include hiking the bluffs or through the Redwood groves, kayaking, paddle boarding, surfing, whale watching, horseback riding and fishing. Nearby golf courses include Bodega Harbour Golf Links, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and Northwood, a nine-hole gem cut amongst the redwoods along the Russian River, designed by Alister MacKensie, who designed Augusta National and Cypress Point. Further afield, dining, antiquing, and exploring the hamlelts of Bodega, Freestone, Valley Ford, Bodega Bay, Duncan Mills or Sebastopol; wine tasting through the heart of Sonoma County Wine Country; visiting historic Fort Ross, plus San Francisco and the Bay Area are easily accessible by car or by ferry from Marin.

Your stay at Sojourn can be as serene or as exciting as your desire dictates. Each season has its charms in Salmon Creek on the beautiful Sonoma Coast.

Love the Birds!

Sojourn was the perfect house for our family holiday. My kids could play while their granddad took pictures of birds from the deck. We loved it!

Beach Views, Access & Comfort

5 adults (family) shared this home. The kitchen had wonderful cookware, utensils, etc. The bathrooms were clean. Comfy beds and linens! We walked to the beach many times and sat on the balcony too!

Great location

We loved our stay! There was plenty of space for me and my family, room for everyone to sleep and kids to play. Walking to the beach was amazing and we enjoyed being close to tide pools and a walking trail as well!

Great stay!

Loved our stay! Perfect set up for families, we stayed with our 4 and 1 year old. The stairs have a built in gate at the top, which was perfect. They had some toys and games, which our kiddos really appreciated. The house is just a 5 minute walk to the beach, with an amazing view from the porch. We had some issues with the tub downstairs. I messaged the hosts, and they came out the next morning and fixed it. They were very friendly, helpful and had easy communication. Other pros: comfortable beds, cozy fireplace (which is usable even in summer), laundry on site, charcoal grill. The only cons we found: no dishwasher or beach chairs. Will absolutely stay here again!

Great place for a reunion!

Beautiful location. Fantastic views. Quiet neighborhood. Comfortable living space. Bathrooms could use updating - but All in all, our ladies reunion was fabulous. Well stocked with amenities and all that you need for a comfortable stay.

We'll be back!

This was my family's 4th time staying at the Sojourn. Each time is as wonderful as the first! Can't get a better view of the ocean waves than what this offers. Feels like our own personal beach house:-)

Sojourn by the Sea was perfect!

This property was ideal for our family. The home was comfortable and roomy with a very nice ocean view. We cooked a few meals in the well appointed kitchen. The baby gates at the stairs made things easy with the 1 year old we traveled with. I would recommend this property to anyone with a medium-sized family. We had seven in ours and were very comfortable. The South Salmon Creek beach is walkable from the property. Highly recommend!

Perfect Vacation Home for my Family

My husband, myself and our daughter's family had a fabulous week at the Sojourn. The home had a fun 70's kind of vibe and was perfectly set up for four adults and two children. The ocean view from the deck was gorgeous and the sunsets were spectacular. There was a complete kitchen except for a dishwasher. My grandsons enjoyed the toys, games, and beach toys. The Sojourn is just a short walk to the beach and the Coastal Prairie Trail is nearby.

Sweet Sojourn at Salmon Creek

This was our second stay at the Sojourn as well as our longest visit to Bodega Bay. It definitely won’t be our last! The attention to detail and the thoughtful touches make the Sojourn a very special place. The five-minute walk to the beach, the views, the well-appointed and we’ll-equipped kitchen and the wonderfully comfortable beds that make sleeping in that much easier are just a few things that make The Sojourn our go-to when we visit Bodega Bay. Perfectly acceptable

Nice little cottage. Very dated. No frills. Would not recommend for older (70+) people as the stairs are difficult to manage. Bathrooms are tiny. Parking was easy, host was easy to communicate with, view is lovely. If you are just looking for a place to sleep while you are out at the beach or doing things locally I would say this was safe bet.

18th Girls Trip (3 women ages 68-70)

19 years ago we reconnected and have an annual trip together. This was our 18th yr (missed one due to Covid). Your home was perfect. Three bedrooms with VERY COMFORTABLE BEDS! The house was very comfortable to visit and just unwind. We hiked the Redwoods, walked on many beaches and had wonderful pizza with outdoor music in Cazadero. We did daily Yoga using your CD player. We would definitely come back if our journey's bring us back to Bodega Bay. Thanks for the wine-awesome!

Wonderful weekend at Sojourne

It was just as described in the listing. Had everything we needed to enjoy a great family weekend. We supplied the family, of course. The three bedrooms were perfect for our family of two couples and one single. The patio is such a plus with a great ocean view. Yes, there are power lines visible too, but such is modern life in an older established beach neighborhood. Owner was super helpful with questions prior to our visit. Walk to beach is short and the sand has lots of drift wood to admire and shell searching opportunities. We’d love to visit again sometime.

Fantastic Location

The location and home were very family friendly. The kitchen is stocked very well with everything we needed for cooking for a party of 8 people. There are issues though; e.g., the wooden Adirondack chairs need refurbishing, there light bulbs were out and need replacing in the upstairs restroom, the barbecue did not work as it should, there were spiders everywhere (we even saw a black widow spider). In short, it’s little things that make a big difference.
