This 3 bedroom, 2 bath home sits on 1/2 an acre with amazing views of majestic mountains from the comfort of your front porch or your secluded, fenced-in backyard. Situated only 1 mile from Main Street of Buena Vista and a few blocks from the BV bike path, it's easy to head into town for dining, shopping, art galleries, festival activities, and river access. However, since your retreat sits on the edge of town, you feel like you are truly "away from it all". For the cowboy in you, horseback riding stables are approximately 3 miles away and the Rodeo Grounds, only a few blocks. Rather travel on 2 legs than 4? Try some amazing hikes a few miles away including the Colorado Trail, summit Mt. Yale, or many other options up Cottonwood Pass. Are the fish or a white water rafting adventure calling? The Arkansas River is renowned for that! If golf is your thing, you're only a few blocks away from the Collegiate Peaks Golf Course. Finally, end your perfect day with a soak in Cottonwood Hot Springs just 1 mile away, Mt. Princeton Hot Springs a quick drive or catch a movie at the Comanche Drive-In just minutes away, then head home to the convenience and comforts of your retreat.

"Mountain Vista Retreat" is a family friendly, pet friendly get away with a spacious living area surrounded with windows, allowing views of Mt. Princeton while relaxing on your large sectional sofa. Flat screen TV with wifi (Nextlix, etc.), DVD player and a library of movies are available.

The kitchen has ample space for the chef in you, and many essentials are provided to make your stay easy and comfortable. The new dining room table seats 8 plus seating for 2 more at the bar.

The master bedroom boasts a king sleigh bed, secluded views into the gardened back yard, and an attached bath with shower. The second bedroom has a pillow-topped queen bed , and the third bedroom offers 2 twin log beds and a closet-full of toys for young children as well as an available pack-n-play for extra little ones. The 2nd bathroom has a shower/bath tub.

Your well-behaved 4-legged friends will appreciate the doggie door to the backyard and bowls for their convenience.

Sit comfortably on the lounge chairs and love seat on your front porch, watch the deer roam through the front yard and take in the views of Mt. Antero, Mt. Princeton, Mt. Yale, Mt. Harvard, and Mt. Columbia before you, or relax on the back porch with patio table and chairs, barbeque on the propane grill, and take a swing in the backyard while star gazing.

Loved our time in BV and stay at this property. The backyard was perfect for our pups. Amazing views of Princeton and just a short drive into town. You can also bike or run via a trail all the way into town. Recommend this property to everyone!

This place is in a wonderful location! Thereā€™s a ton to do all around and access to any road is right there. The house is charming and has a great view of the collegiate peaks. It couldnā€™t have worked out better.

We loved the house and it was such a plus that it was so kid friendly. We have a 3yo and an 18mo and they can be absolute terrors but the house was perfect and we never had to hover over them afraid that theyā€™d get into something or break something. The views didnā€™t hurt either!

This is a nice clean house. Our 9 year old son enjoyed playing on their basketball hoop in the garage. The home is well lit. It is well located in Buena Vista, with great access to the many offerings in the area.

Great place to visit with kids

Our grandkids visited our VRBO during our stay and loved the inventory of toys and movies available at this home. This made our stay all the more enjoyable. Our pups had a nice fenced yard to play and we were very pleased with our accommodations during our brief visit.

Comfortable, roomy house

We really enjoyed our stay in this comfortable home. It was also very nice to have a garage to park in. The location was perfect and provided easy access to the surrounding area. We enjoyed many of the trails around Buena Vista, along with the historic area on E. Main St. The town is very laid back and more relaxed than some other tourist spots.

Base Camp for Hiking Trip

We stayed here in between day hikes and a trip up Mount Yale. Very comfortable. Beautiful views. A well landscaped back yard. Great place for R&R. Recommended!

We had a great time around B.V. and this house was a great place for meals, relaxing, star gazing. Our 8 year old loved the basketball shooting game in the garage. Very convenient location for getting into town. Clean house!

Great location and awesome views.

I had family visiting so 6 people stayed here for 3 nights. Not too far from skiing and plenty of activities near by for those of us who couldn't, the hot springs were a hit! The house was great, clean and plenty of room. The dog loved the yard and kept finding toys back there. Would absolutely go back again.

Cute and comfortable!

This clean, open house really did have beautiful views, from the back porch and cute back yard, to front porch with table and umbrella. It's a little way from downtown (only 2 miles up a main road), which was fine with us, but still really accessible to everything. The kitchen was nicely stocked, and the bedrooms roomy and modern. We had a wonderful time and would stay there again.

The house was large and easily accommodated the 6 of us. Plenty of room to hang out!

We enjoyed our stay at Kat's house. The house was centrally located to downtown Buena Vista, as well as a short drive to 2 different hot springs. The house was roomy and clean. Kat was available during our stay for questions- though we didn't have many, as she provided us with a lot of information about the house and the area. We had a great stay and would definitely return!

Our family of 5 and our loving golden retriever live in Denver, CO. My husband and I first fell in love with each other and the Arkansas River Valley many years ago and vowed to one day call it our home. Our dream came true last year when we purchased our "home away from home" and we hope you fall in love with it and BV as well.

We love having the amenities of being close to town (just a 2 minute drive or a bike ride to Main St.), but we are far enough on the outskirts that we feel we can touch the mountains. We are a quick drive to so many adventures up Cottonwood Pass: trails, lakes, camping, hot springs, horseback riding, etc. The home itself is spacious, bright and inviting.

You can't beat the amazing view of the Collegiate Peaks from the front porch or stargazing from the swing in the backyard. The private back yard boasts beautiful perennials and ample space to play, grill out, and relax.
