Relais Castelcicala is a romantic B&B located in the "annexes" of Villa Castelcicala, a charming historic residence, located a few kilometers from Naples and the most important tourist sites in Campania.
The cozy suites, each with an independent entrance, have been recently restored according to bio-architecture criteria and are all equipped with comfortable beds on wooden slatted slats and pure latex mattresses and Naturland peat, independent air conditioning and heating, minibar, satellite TV and free WiFi day and night.
Just 15 km from Naples airport and Central Station and 1 km from the important motorway junction of Nola, the B&B Relais Castelcicala is a strategic location for anyone who wants to experience this beautiful region.
From here you can quickly reach Pompeii, Herculaneum, Paestum, Oplonti, the Phlegraean Fields, Vesuvius, the Amalfi Coast, and the Royal Palace of Caserta, with the certainty of returning after the excursions to a cool and welcoming place to eat.

Our host was most gracious and patient with us. This was a first trip to Italy for all and we do not speak Italian. The staff at the villa (Pate') was most helpful and also gracious with us daily. The property is vast, with a beautiful view of natural beauty. I would recommend a stay at the villa for anyone.

Nice stay in Perfect Location

We liked our stay on this beautiful property a lot. Perfect Location for all kind of daytrips. We would have needed more time here but it was a nice last Apartment on our round trip around italy. Gherado was really helpful and gave lovely tips.

A beautiful place to rest and relax

We had an amazing stay at this property. The pool is perfect for cooling off after a hot day of touring. The rooms were comfortable and breakfast was a great start to the day. Lots of information was provided for local places to eat. The location is perfect for accessing Naples, Pompeii and The Amalfi Coast.

Wonderful property

The facility itself was wonderful! Only down side was difficulty with access to public transport , taxis not easily accessible , far from Pompeii and quite a long walk to train .

Amazing host and Villa

We had a wonderful time. The villa, the host, and staff were amazing. They were so accommodating and helpful. Gherado guided us to some amazing dinning and let the restaurant know we were coming. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this villa.

A faboules place!

We were 6 couples and used all suites. The place exceeded our expectations and the pictures. It is really a charming place with all modern amenities. Gherardo was a great host and we will definitely stay again if and when in the region.

Peaceful and comfortable

Spent a tranquil 4 nights. Beds were comfy and everything was clean. Parking was nice and the location kept us away from the congestion of Naples and even Nola. Pool was little but clean and nice and the setting was so beautiful. Gherardo was helpful in logistics and very pleasant. Excellent stay.

beautiful historical villa

A group of friends booked four of the six suites. Each was spacious and comfortable. The main villa is a truly lovely historical building set in marvelous grounds, wonderful views of surrounding hills. Welcoming host Gherardo assisted with advice, restaurant reservations, excellent breakfasts, information about the history of the area.

Wonderful stay

A beautiful stay at this gorgeous B&B Villa, the host was very welcoming and the staff were great too. We had our 2 year old son with us which can be challenging at times but they took it in their stride. Beautiful surroundings and very well situated for Vesuvius and Pompeii. We also drove up to eat at Pepe in Grani which was a bit further out but the place served as a good middle point to get to Naples airport at the end of our trip. Would recommend for anyone.

The beauty of Castelcicala is simply unparalleled. The flora is astounding and the accommodations are perfection. We were so thankful for host Gherardo's (et al) generous hospitality and his willingness to share his vast breadth of knowledge regarding the villa and its history, and the region itself. The areas many attractions are easily accessible from the Nola location...paradise found!

Fantastic, charming bed and breakfast

We loved our stay here! Such a charming and character filled place. Clean, welcoming, spacious and comfortable. Communication was brilliant and Gherardo was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was nice and the kids loved the pool. We easily drove to Pompei and Vesuvius and there was a good list of local restaurant recommendations. We had an early flight and needed to leave before breakfast time but Gherardo arranged for an early breakfast for us which was very appreciated. I’d highly recommend staying here.

A true gem

We have been traveling in the area for a few years now (love the history and coast) and it is really hard to find find really good spots that don't feel overly touristy or are truly charming. This is one of them. The hosts are lovely, the property is quaint and picturesque but has all the amenities you might look for (wifi, etc). Strongly recommend, will stay again in the future.

Amazing Stay!

Our group consisted of 13 people. 8 adults and 5 children with age range of 7-17. We were greeted immediately upon arrival with a warm welcome from Gherardo and his wife. We booked all 6 units and had the villa to ourselves. The property has an amazing history and absolutely stunning views. All restaurants we found to be within walking distance. We did not rent a car, but found the Glovo app to be helpful with delivering small amounts of groceries when needed.

Amazing storybook setting!

Family of 5 adults just stayed at this beautiful B&B from Canada. The grounds and buildings are like something out of a wonderful storybook. The hosts, just as lovely and gracious. Kind enough to give us a tour of the grounds and give suggestions on things to see in the area. The two restaurants we ate at from the ones listed in the booklet in our rooms did not disappoint. Absolutely would highly recommend anyone giving thought to staying at this spot, don't give it a miss!!! It is well worth the stay!! We absolutely loved our stay and will be a treasured memory of our family vacation. Thank you so much.

A Hidden Gem of Tranquility

Our recent stay at this Villa was a serene escape to an Italian countryside paradise. Nestled amidst the enchanting landscape, this property offered us a timeless retreat. Family Trip

Gherardo is the most gracious host you will meet. The B&B is located on a historical property that has been in his family for centuries. It consists of 17 hectares with fruit and nut trees. While we were there, it was walnut harvest time. Gherardo works the fields with a crew and runs the B&B with help from a very small staff. They are all as nice as can be. The surrounding area of Nola is a bit sketchy, but we felt safe and secure in the B&B complex. We ventured out on trips to Ischia and Naples. Each suite is tastefully decorated and inviting--more like an apartment. It was truly lovely.

Oasis of peace

The Agriturismo Castelcicala Is THE PLACE TO STAY AT when visiting the Naples region ! Pompeji, Hercolaneo, il Vesuvio.... are sites worth the trip. However the cherry on the cake is returning to this beautiful oasis of peace, quietness and privacy after an exciting day. On top of that we enjoyed Gherardo‘s recommendations very much: a typical Pizza at Genuino or the amphitheatre at Sta Maria Capua del Vetere (which we had almost to ourselves) - phantastic ! A plus, not to be neglected, are the extremely comfortable beds ! Thanks very much to Désiré, our hostess as well for sacrificing some of her beautiful roses for us! We had an excellent week and do recommend Castelcicala as 1st choice ! Birgit, Uli and Benni, April 2019
