Main Text Behind secure, electric gates, you will be greeted by a luxurious 6 bedroom, 5 bathroom villa; with two lounges, dining room, games room, three terraces, a heated swimming pool and ample parking. It is surrounded by beautiful gardens full of vibrant colourful, sweet scented flowers and various fruit trees. With comfort a requisite, shaded areas with seating and facilities for al fresco dining are plentiful. To ensure guests’ enjoyment is attended to, British TV channels, two Jacuzzi baths, housekeeping service, towels, bedding and a fully equipped kitchen are provided. Relish the breath-taking views of the sea in one direction, and the Monchique mountain range in the other from the sizeable top terrace. The friendly town of Carvoeiro is a convenient 5-10 walk from Casa Joy, and has everything you need from a clean, pretty, sandy beach to an abundance of restaurants, bars and shops to suit every taste and purse. A useful mini supermarket is a couple of minutes’ walk, just around the corner.

We've just returned from a lovely week spent at Casa Joy.The perfect place for our family of 8, Very clean and spacious with everything we needed. The pools a great size with plenty of beds to relax.Only a ten minute walk to plenty of restaurants, shops and the beaches the perfect location. Incredible house for family and friends

Our stay at Casa Joy was fantastic. There were four couples and each one had plenty of private space. The outdoor spaces were fantastic with plenty of seating. All amenities were as they were described. Ray, the owner was very communicative and the check-in procedure went very smoothly.

Lovely villa with a great location

Overall communications with the owner were first rate and check in procedure was very smooth. The villa is beautifully appointed and extremely clean, luxurious and comfortable with a great location, which is easily walkable into town. The outside area was a particular highlight for family gatherings, with plenty of seating and large tables. The pool was a good size. We all had a great holiday.

The perfect house

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Joy. The house was perfect for us: a family with 3 childeren all with +1 and grandparents. Because of the 3 levels in the house, everbody had enough priacy- and living space. Beautiful view and private garden.

Absolutely stunning

We have stayed in Casa Joy twice and most recently for two weeks with all our family. It is the perfect large family villa and really well positioned to walk to the centre of Carvoiero. The pool area is spacious, well maintained and clean with a large pool. No shortage of space, and amenities. We hope to go back again soon.

Family vacation home

We enjoyed our stay. The house is fully equiped and the owner is helping out where he cans for questions. It is possible to find a quiet place because of all the terraces and rooms available. It is the perfect house if you are with 2 family’s as well. You can walk to the village and beach. Lots of activities are available.

We had an incredible two-week stay at Casa Joy in Carvoeiro. From the very beginning, Ray’s communication was outstanding – quick, clear, and always helpful. The villa itself was perfect: modern, beautifully maintained, and spacious enough to comfortably fit all 11 of us. Everything we needed was there, and it felt like a real home away from home. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend both the villa and Ray to anyone considering booking – you won’t be disappointed!

An amazing property to celebrate a life stone landmark

The property is amazing from top to bottom, from inside to outside set in fantastic grounds and a brilliant location being a short walk to town. We had a fantastic family holiday with three generations helping to celebrate my 50th. The layout of the villa was perfectly suited to our needs and split over 3 levels with all having access to outside space. The villa is very well maintained and furnished to top standard.

Fantastic 5 Star villa

It's very daunting finding a villa for the whole family, eight adults, six children and a baby but as soon as we walked through the doors of Casa Joy we knew we had hit the jackpot! Fantastic villa, great location, beautiful pool and garden. The children were in the the pool all day ( the big kids as well). I have no hesitation in recommending this villa. Carverio is a lovely buzzing town with plenty of restaurants. Go on book Casa Joy you will not regret it!

Lovely villa, in quiet area, but walking distance to shops and beach

3 generations of my family have just had a week at this lovely villa. Extremely well equipped. Clean. Great communication with owner. In a nice quiet area, but a short walk to a local supermarket, shops, restaurants, bars and the beach. The villa is at the top of a hill, which is steep but quite short. Had some fabulous nights at local restaurants, on the owners recommendation list. Great private pool with lots of pool toys. Lots of space in the villa for everyone ( there were 11 of us). Lovely!

This is a beautiful villa equipped with everything that you would need.The villa is very spacious and up together..we stayed with other family members and the 3 tiers worked perfectly for us as we all had a level each so not to disturb each other early morning or late night.The kitchen is a good size allowing everyone to muck through feeding times.The outside area is lovely and backs onto a cul de sac with no other villa looking in so great for privacy and very quiet, 1st floor balcony is great with a huge dining table and not a bad view, you can just see the ocean and the evening sky are gorgeous.. parking not a issue as you can easily park two suv on drive.For me this villa is a real winner lovely location with some amazing coast walks which we did early mornings 5.30am and the locals are very friendly..Most importantly and I believe this carry’s a lot of weight is how attentive the host Roy was. From the moment our booking was agreed, Roy was emailing and texting loads of info about the local area, where to eat, where to go for evening entertainment, giving great directions from airport and just generally answering all our questions quickly. I just knew he wanted us to have a fantastic stay, I felt it was never any bother contacting him, which is not always been the case in my experience. Also, the staff he employs to look after the villa are also very professional and respectful Thank you Roy for allowing us to share your home we had a wonderful week, J & family

Perfect house for a large group

We stayed at Casa Joy for two weeks in July. There were twelve of us in total (a variety of ages) and it suited everyone. So well equipped and enough space to be able to have your own space! The games room area was a hit with our children and the pool was a good size. Plenty of sun beds. The large balcony with seating area was perfect for family BBQ/meals. The owner, Ray, responded quickly to all my emails and gave us lots of info and advice about the area. The whole process was very straight forward. I would highly recommend this house for large groups and will definitely be going back in the future.

Fantastic break

Fantastic week spent at this beautiful villa, it is spacious enough to accommodate two large families with plenty of space and privacy. Large pool with lots of comfy sun beds available, several different seating/eating areas to relax in, great games room with a snooker table and football table. Walking distance of Carvoeiro centre with its many restaurants and bars and a beautiful beach.

A villa holiday that you normally only dream about!

A great place to spend time with friends and family. As soon as you arrive at the villa you feel welcome and relaxed as it is just as described and more. The owners make a great effort to make your stay as perfect as possible. They love the area and give you addtional information with their personal recommendations which are updated regularly.

Huge villa with far-reaching views of the sea

Really big villa with plenty of space for a number of guests. Air-conditioning which is always a bonus in the summer. Lovely pool and gardens with plenty of terraced areas to sit in. Relaxing pergola area at far end of garden. Gated with space for 3 cars. Steep but easy enough walk from Carvoeiro centre with its beach and all its bars and restaurants. Well stocked kitchen. Smartly refurbished bathrooms. Very relaxing stay in a very welcoming villa.

Fabulous villa

The villa is fabulous. The accommodation is over three floors easily providing our three families with privacy when wanted with the lounges/terraces offering plenty of room to enjoy family get togethers.The pool and gardens are lovely. The location is ideal being walking distance to Carvoeiro centre [downhill going, uphill back] and a local supermarket. An unbeatable location for the large extended family seeking a villa holiday in a lovely resort. Also the owners Karen and Ray are a delight to deal with making the entire holiday experience a joy.

Fantastic Villa and location in a beautiful area

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful Villa - everything was exactly as described and exceeded our expectations. The Villa itself was huge with big airy rooms, and fabulous facilities. The Villa was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The Boys in our group loved the games room and everyone loved the Pool and the large seating areas. The Villa is based within easy walking distance of the town and the town beach. We had excellent assistance from the owners Ray and Karen, and from the lettings company who arranged all our transport. We loved the town as well - so many fabulous places to eat! We were spoilt for choice. We particularly liked Onze, by the beach, The Wolf Bar, Tia Ilda (which has amazing views) and Medici. Also don't leave with a trip to the Tivoli Hotel and their amazing rooftop Bar,. I would recommend this Villa and location to anyone - we loved it and hope to return Edwina Sleight

70th Birthday Celebration

My family and I celebrated my 70th birthday at Casa Joy from 1-9 April. We were a party of seven adults and six children ranging from age 7 to 6 months. The villa is conveniently located in a quiet residential area within 10 minutes walk from Carvoeiro town centre. It is exactly as described in the brochure featuring lots of space both internally and externally.set in lovely well attended gardens. At the suggestion of Karen, the owner, we had the pool heated which was an excellent piece of advice. The kids played in the pool early every morning and again in the early evening when we returned from the numerous gorgeous beaches in the area.. Although we enjoyed lovely sunny days around 25-26 deg C the pool enjoyment certainly benefitted from being heated. Each of the spacious bedrooms had modern en suites and the villa was exceptionally clean and well kitted out with more than adequate furnishings and facilities. A 5 minute walk to the little supermarket in the morning provided fresh bread and croissant and of course the essential pastel natas! The larger supermarket was about 5-10 minute drive and it was stocked with fresh meat and fish and everything you needed. We had a BBQ every evening because of the gorgeous weather and it suited the kids better. Thus we ate outside on the terrace, drank lots of good wine and watched the sunset. My family have rented villas most years for the past 40 years and we all agreed that Casa Joy is up there with the very best. Carvoeiro is a small seaside town with lots of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. We were fortunate to holiday in a quiet time but there was still a good friendly atmosphere. It is certainly a good base to explore the many beautiful beaches of the Algarve. A special mention must be given to the owners, Karen and Ray, who were extremely helpful at the pre-booking time and provided excellent assistance throughout our stay. Anyone renting Casa Joy will undoubtedly have a wonderful holiday experience. We can certainly highly recommend the property. Definitely 5***** John Foster and Family Chesterfield, UK

We live primarily in the UK (Surrey) and we bought this home in November 2006. It needed total refurbishment, which we have done over the years. Every bathroom has been replaced, the swimming pool and area has been renewed, it's been re wired, new air conditioning, re painted to name just a few improvements that we have done. All improvements have been done with love and care, as we regard this, and Carvoeiro as a very special second family home. We have three children; aged 22, 20 and 16 and they have enjoyed many happy times here and love visiting their second home as much as they can. Our villa holds many special memories for us, our friends and family.

It had an instant welcoming, homely feel to it when we walked in and it is surrounded by secure, beautiful gardens. The accommodation is spacious and typically Portuguese. It is set in a very quiet position, opposite open fields. It is the most elevated villa in Carvoeiro and has gorgeous views towards the sea and Monchique mountains. It is also easy walking distance to the town and beach.
