There is a fully stocked lake with Carp, quality fishing equipment included and even a boat to cast your net further into the lake. For those who prefer to sit back and take it all in, there is a large wooden deck with relaxing loungers, new terrace furniture with the option for al fresco dining.

A large open field adjacent to the house means you can walk through meadows, run off the kids, or the dogs without having to leave your retreat.

The charismatic lodge, set back in this picturesque village in South West France, sleeps 6- 8 people.

Set within the Deux – Sevres regional, a beautiful, unspoilt area filled with forests, lakes, rivers and attractive towns, the location is steeped in history, and home to some of Europe’s most imposing chateaux, museums and Romanesque churches.

Also if you can draw yourself away from your own private lake for another waterside adventure discover the cool, shady paradise of the Marais Poitevin, a network of waterways described by Henri IV during the 16th century as la Venise Verte, the Green Venice. If beach life calls, some of the best in the south west are within an hour away from La Rochelle to the stunning ile de Re.


Only an hour from La Rochelle Airport or 40 mins from Poitiers airport, the location benefits from great transport links from the UK and France. The local village Le Retail has all you need, from supermarkets, cafes and local produce in le Boulangarie as well as nearby waterside restaurants and picnic areas.
