VILLA VARANGUE, AN OASIS OF PEACE AND NATURE WITH A BREATHTAKING VIEW ON THE OCEAN

Villa 'Varangue', named after the charming 200 sqm porch, has a spectacular view over the ocean and is surrounded by a 2000 sqm tropical garden.
The Varangue, thanks to the wonderful climate of the island, is the place of the house where you spend the majority of the time. One part is furnished with comfortable armchairs and small tables, and another part with a large table and scenic chairs for 14 seats. The beautiful pool, surrounded by a deck with sun loungers, is overhanging the ocean. Although it is not large, it is ideal for diving in the morning or at sunset. Of course the real swim of the day is in the sea! Less than 3 minutes from the house there is a beautiful white-sand beach. The magic point of the house is a hut furnished with a double sun lounger to enjoy fantastic sunsets.

Our home is horseshoe-shaped with a central block and two sidebars. Already from the large entrance you can admire beyond the windows the spectacular scenery of the sea. Here we find a beautiful well-equipped kitchen and a corner with a bookcase and a comfortable reading chair. In this central part there is the suite of the house with private bathroom and two large window doors. From your bed you can enjoy enchanting sunrises. On the east side of the house there are two double bedrooms with a unique ocean view and a shared bathroom. In the west side there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds and a shared bathroom. They overlook the varangue and the lush garden greenery rich of tropical plants as the traveler's palms and of beautiful blossoming corners with Jasmin de Nuit and Bouganville. The 3 bathrooms are equipped with windows and Italian showers with large shower heads.

All rooms are equipped with mosquito nets and beds dressed in white piquet liners. The walls are decorated with marvelous photographs taken by the homeowner who, being a photographer, has shot around the world but eventually has chosen to build his home in this corner of paradise.
At home you will find Zozelle who takes care of our house since 2010. It is very kind and helpful and a very good cook as well. Her working hours are from 8 am to 5 pm but on request she can stay longer to prepare you an excellent dinner with Italian or Malgasian dishes.
A gardener takes care of the garden and of the pool maintenance.
From 6 pm to 6 am a guardian will watch over the security of the property.

Nosybe is called the island of perfumes for its wonderful nature, rich in colorful flowers and scented spices. Having a car, better a pick-up, is crucial to live on the island. At 1 km from the house, at Ambatouloka, there is a small supermarket for primary needs. But for shopping I recommend going to the Hellville Capital which is about 27km away where there is a well-stocked supermarket and a wonderful fruit and vegetable market in the main square. We also have a contact of a fisherman who can provide you fresh fish for a great dinner at home. In the town there are some nice restaurants that are worth a try. The currency of the island is the Aryary that has replaced the Malagasy franc.

Nosybe means 'big island' because it is surrounded by many other smaller Nosy, beautiful to visit for a day trip. Nosy Komba, the largest, is just a few miles from Hellville Capital, from which it is easily reached by boat. It is the handicraft island for its wonderful embroidered tablecloths and bone objects. Eat at Iolanda’s place and book it to get an excellent meal of fresh fish. Nosy Fany is the island of shells, reachable in just 40 minutes by boat from our beach. On the way it is easy to see dolphins and whales. Nosy Iranja is the excursion I recommend you most. The sea has incredible colors and the effect of the tide that every 6 hours joins the two islands is magical. You can reach it in 90 minutes but it is also worth staying one night in the resort or in the tents of the magnificent white beach. Nosy Sakatia, you can see in the distance from our house, is 5-minute boat ride and it is the most authentic island. Nosy Tanikely, 30 minutes away, is a protected marine park, ideal for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts.

The villa can be used on request for cooking classes, yoga or photographic shooting.
