Steps to the water on both sides!!

Very small (under 400 sq ft) & cozy 1 bedroom located in the heart of San Diego's most famous beach community. Just steps to Mission Bay, the beach, the Boardwalk and Belmont Park, Only 1.5 blocks to the beach, and only two doors from the Bay! Only has 1 queen bed and a very small sofa for a small child.

Please note, this is literally the center of MB, less than a block from Belmont, which is great, but expect a lot of people, noise and possibly traffic congestion especially during spring & summer.

Right in the heart of Mission Beach! Views of the roller coaster! Bicycle, golf cart, paddle board etc rental shop right next door! This home is a tastefully designed one-bedroom with a full kitchen that can sleep three. The unit is very small for a 1 bedroom but is fully stocked and right in the middle of the action! The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, and amenities include free parking, free Wi-Fi, and Apple TV.

Photos were taken in 2015. Please expect normal wear and tear over that time period. Furniture and furnishings may be different than pictured as items are replaced and updated.

great location and convenience

The unit was only two blocks from the ocean and only one block from the bay. It had its own parking space, which I hear is uncommon for Mission Beach vacation rentals. For being on a busy street, it was still quiet at night. The only downside was no counter space in the bathroom, but overall, it was a great place to stay.

Great location near beach

The apartment was very close to the Mission Beach boardwalk. It is very small so 2 persons is the absolute limit. It turned very cold when we were there and the apartment is designed for the summer. Found the space heater and made do. Lots of decent small restaurants near by. Don’t think of cooking much. Would stay again if ever in San Diego during the summer.

Great location

The rental process was very easy and Drew (the owner) responded immediately after we booked the property. Drew provided great check in/ check out instructions, explained the GPS issue with the address and parking instructions. Very close to the beach, restaurants and boardwalk. I loved the huge refrigerator and freezer! The bed is very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay. I would recommend staying at this property.

Amazing

The property was exactly as described and perfect for our three day getaway. There is a lockbox with the key in it and the owner emailed the code for the lockbox. We left the key in it so when we went to the beach if one of us wanted to come back they could just get the key out of the lockbox. That way we don’t have to stay together. It’s a nice walk to the beach and Belmont Park. We didn’t have to drive at all! Plenty of places to eat and shop within walking distance. We knew there was no a/c so we brought a portable one with us. FYI the outlet next to the chest of drawers in the bedroom only works if the bathroom light is on. The other outlets in the bedroom only work when the bedroom light is on. Also there is no screen in the bathroom window and no exhaust fan. We opened the window while showering to let the moisture and heat escape but bugs came in. Not complaining - we had a great time! We will book again!!!

Stay at Mission Beach

Perfect location. In the center of everything. But also one of the busiest corners. However with the fans on at night, it did block some of the noise. Drew was great and immediately replaced a broken fan.

Wonderful place, great location

We enjoyed our winter getaway in this cozy place with the lemon-lime theme. While many other properties seemed claustrophobic and shoe-horned into the neighborhood this place looked out over a nice open area next to an amusement park just a short walk from the beach. Awesome!

Small but clean and excellent owner response

The property is very small but we really didn't need much room. The room was not ready so we had to wait but it wasn't a big deal. Had some minor issues which Drew too care of immediately. He was very respoonsive. The location is great, just a block from the beach. and right across the streeet from the amusement park. The bay is on one side and the ocean on the other. We loved the fact that there were beach chairs and toys available.

Cute, tiny place… Location is PRIME

Upon arrival, we were given a designated parking spot but when we arrived, someone else was parked there. Called the owner and he worked diligently to rectify the situation. We had a great 2 day stay over the weekend with minor issues. The only available outlet in the bathroom does not work, neither does one out of two in the bedroom. Ended up doing my hair in the living room, where there is a huge mirror and working outlets. The patio is SHARED, which I noticed is not listed in any other reviews or the owners listing. The people that rent the unit next door, have to walk past your front door and across your patio to get to their door. (Just would’ve been nice to know beforehand). The bed was extremely comfortable with soft bedding. Only one towel was provided for showering, so I’m glad I brought my own so we both had one to use. There is NO air conditioning and it does get humid, but having the doors and windows open while you’re home definitely helps. They also provided 2 floor fans, but only 1 works. The full size fridge was nice for keeping drinks cold. On Friday and Saturday nights, you can watch the fireworks from Sea World right at the end of the driveway or walk 5 mins to the marina and watch them over the water. Being able to see and hear the rollercoaster from the couch in the living room was awesome. There’s also a huge park and green belt across the street for your enjoyment. Traffic noise is actually very minimal in the middle of the night. We had a small fan on and I never heard anything. Would probably stay again, but with a lot lower expectations. Owner is also only available between 9am and 6pm so plan ahead!

Perfect location!

This rental was in the perfect location! It was in walking distance to everything we needed... Park, beach, coffee, restaurants, shops, mini golf, roller coaster, and more!! My kids appreciated the use of beach supplies. The free parking spot was a huge peace of mind. The lemon and lime theme was super cute, too.

Tucked Away Getaway

I love the properties in this building. They are right next to the Subway, far away from the beach to be peaceful, but close enough to walk a block and be in the thick of things. Clean, hot water, perfect size for a couple or a couple and a small child or two on the pullout couch. Plus the Slice of Life has parking which is a coveted convenience in this area. We had someone park in our spot a few times, but it was not a huge inconvenience for us since we mostly used the spot for family who visited. We visit this spot frequently because family lives a few blocks over so we hope to rent this place again someday.

Great location

I know this area very well so I knew where I was booking. This place is very small but it was just my daughter and I so it worked perfect. There is no air conditioning so we used the fans. During the summer it can get warm but we were ok, being used to heat as we are from AZ. My only disappointment was that the wifi info in the owners information book was not accurate. I needed to get logged on for some work that needed be done in the morning. I sent a message to the owner that morning on VRBO and on a cell # that was given. I did not get a response for 6 hours. Telling me that the correct information was in a frame on the wall. It was indeed in a frame that was on the table. I did not see it until I saw the response. I guess I should of looked. I updated the information for the wifi in the owners book. The location is great...so close to everything. We enjoyed our stay.
