If you're looking for great mountain home with stunning lake and mountain views, Home Run View is the ticket! This gorgeous mountain home, located in an upscale gated community in Ellijay is only minutes from Carter's Lake. Enjoy the huge covered porch in a rocker while taking in the incredible views of Carter's Lake as well as the mountains beyond. Carter's Lake, the deepest lake in Georgia is also known for it's spotted bass, striped bass & walleye. Hook up the boat (or rent one at the Marina) and put in at Woodring Branch, a short 4 miles from the cabin. After a day on the lake, come on back to the cabin, where you'll find all the comforts of home.

The great-room boasts windows galore where lake views can be enjoyed year round, regardless of the weather or season. All of our cabin rentals are fully furnished and include a minimum of the following unless otherwise stated in the listing:

Fully equipped kitchen: Refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, glassware, utensils, cutlery, pots, and pans.

Linens for each bed, 2-bath towels, 1-hand towel, 1-wash cloth per person listed on guest list, dresser or closet for clothing storage, central heat & air, washer/dryer, vacuum and/or broom and dust pan, mop, cable or satellite TV, internet, telephone for local calls and propane grill.

In addition we provide a complimentary start-up supplies of: Toilet Tissue (2 rolls per bathroom), Paper Towels, (1 roll), Garbage Bags (2-3 bags) , Dishwasher Detergent (1-2 loads) Laundry Detergent (1 load), and Dishwashing Soap (mini bottle).

Many of our cabins include more than this basic list of inventory items.

The only items you'll need to bring will be food, beverages, and condiments.

Beauty and Tranquility

Overall fantastic... Beautiful views, very peaceful... Feels secluded, yet minutes to everything... Lake, hiking trails, shops, orchards... The property was very clean and well maintained, all the necessities and amenities as described. We are very happy with absolutely everything!

Unforgettable view

Stayed here for birthday weekend and also daughter got engaged. Breathtaking view—enjoyed porch overlooking mountains and lake and, of course, the hot tub was the bonus.

Amazing lake view

Very relaxing time. Wished we could have stayed longer. The cabin is very comfortable, well kept. Game room is a great way to entertain the kids while the adults relax and enjoy the view.

11 ladies celebrating

We found the property perfect for our girls weekend. There were beds aplenty and the kitchen was well stocked. This home was very comfortable. The owner sent detailed directions which was needed and appreciated. The house was located near wineries and the views were stunning.

Perfect Getaway

Home Run Views was just the perfect home to getaway to for the summer. Perfect distance between Ellijay and Carters Lake. The kitchen had everything we needed for some basic at home meals. Lots of comforting touches all around the home. The porch views were the exact change of scenery I needed. The kids loved all the activities, the piano downstate was a surprising hit! We would definitely return again!

wonderful home. breathtaking views

we stayed in the house over Christmas 2022. and we could not have been happier. the home is wonderful. spacious while also being comfy and cozy. but the view! Just WOW! We were there during a massive winter storm and we couldn't have loved it more. We had total privacy while also being close enough to Ellijay to go in whenever we wanted.

Perfect Getaway

We were looking for a weekend cabin getaway for my birthday and this was the perfect place for us! The fire pit, the hot tub, and the view were my top priorities and we thoroughly enjoyed them all! We had a family of 4 adults, 3 young adults, and 2 small children, and there was plenty of room for all of us. It was clean, cozy, and quiet. The directions to the cabin were clear, and it was easy to get to (even though we arrived at night and in the rain). There were a few times we had to communicate with the property owners prior to our visit due to date changes, and they were prompt to respond and very accommodating. We will definitely be looking to stay here again in the future!

Spring Breakers

Great property with a great veiw! Really enjoyed our spring break week! Plenty of space for 2 families, as it was supposed to have been 3 families and there would still have been plenty of room. (3 adults, 7 kids(2 under 2). Bedrooms were gracious sized and the amenities we great. Plenty of beds and they were comfortable! Kids really enjoyed the game room and playing fuzzball(as my youngest calls it)! Which I wasn't sure about, as it said there was a ping pong table and foozeball table, but didn't show any pictures of them. The game room was in the garage. We enjoyed the hot tub to cap off the nights! Couple of things that could make it better would be, the dishwasher being properly mounted under counter and the coffee pot didn't match the maker, so it didn't heat up quite right. It had most utensils, and cookware. We utilized the grill for making meals. Just make sure you bring all your food and seasonings! There is a beautiful water fall (Tumbling waters) not to far away ~20min drive. It's worth the drive and hike. And Ellijay is a great little town with some cute little shops! We plan to stay again for a 2022 redo, where hopefully all the families can join!!

Nice cabin

The cabin was nice. Pretty views from every floor. Definitely sleeps more than 10 (we only had 7). Needs a WHOLE lot of maintenance. We had to call the property manager both of our full days. The first day because when we arrived Thursday evening, the front porch light was out and downstairs by the hot tub, both of those porch lights were out. Two of the smoke detectors were chirping, which we were able to replace the battery in one, the other one was hardwired. The sink faucet, you have to maneuver it just right to get it to turn off. Our first full day, they did replace the lightbulbs and the battery. Our second day we had to have maintenance to come because the kitchen sink backed up. When I opened up the cabinet, and the whole cabinet was flooded, so we had to pull everything out, put a towel down and put a dish under until someone could get there. The cabin has a lot of potential, but whoever their cleaning crew is and maintenance crew, needs to step it up. You can tell that the cleaner just cleans around stuff and not under. The fireplace mantle was super dusty. I pulled out a drinking glass that was covered with lips and some sticky residue and two skillets that still had scrambled eggs in it. The kitchen is very well stocked with pots and pans and dinner plates. It is OK on utensils, definitely does not have enough spatulas, has very few bowls and has no containers for storage. So if you plan on cooking, you definitely need bring Ziploc or some storage containers.

It's a great spot for Christmas

If you have pets and lots of kids and like remote, away from everything commercial then this property is for you. However this one is a 3.5 or 4 depending on what you are used to. The house is nice to look at but could use updating...a few more things you should know if you are going to rent this one >the ride to Ellijay is 45 minutes so running to the store for something is a real chore. There are no hiking trails just the road that you come in on to walk around on and there is no lake access whatsoever. This is a very private community. You are going to need to drive for more scenic walking or hiking. The fire place and fire pit were very nice to have and we enjoyed both. We had to make multiple trips to get wood so make sure you buy more than you think you'll use because its never enough! We brought our own games since most VRBO properties we have been at lack the upkeep for games. This one had games and some vhs tapes. TV's were low resolution and dated. The internet wasn't usable for any task. Cell service is decent so we were able to use our Verizon hotpot to get the menial work emails taken care of. The kitchen was mostly well supplied however the dishwasher wasn't mounted and fell forward every time you opened it. If you like good coffee then bring the coffee maker you like because the one on property is a cheap mr. coffee unit. Specialty cooking things like blenders, food processors or an instapot should also be packed if that is what you want to cook with. Typical of most VRBO rentals, this one had worn out pillows but most of the bedding was acceptable and not over used. The beds were plenty and everyone seemed to sleep well. The house could have been cleaned more. Corners of the rooms, closet spaces, under the couch, under the couch cushions, and the garage, all could have been better. When we first arrived and turned on base floor lights in the bathrooms there were Orb Weaver spiders in the sinks. We had an experience with at least one tenacious brown rat that found its way into our truck bed and ate through a number of Christmas presents, then the next day chewed the weather stripping around the garage door to try to get to the trash. Like they said, its the woods so be ready for anything.

We stayed at this cabin for four nights. It was super hot when we got there because the A/C was out—thermostat was busted. Took a few calls to the after-hours line, but the owner finally picked up and got a tech out around 9:30 PM. A/C was back on by 11 PM, thank goodness. The place is nice with tons of beds and a cool layout. Kitchen’s stocked, and the appliances are new. But the cleaning crew needs to step it up—dust everywhere, stains on the furniture, and the carpet downstairs is rough. The shower heads in the main bedroom are pretty much useless, so we showered in the main floor bathroom. Oh, and there’s construction next door, so expect hammering at 7 AM sharp every day. No sleeping in!

Amazing trip and amazing cabin!

My girls, dogs and I had a week getaway for homeschooling and travel! This was our favorite cabin we have ever stayed in! The cabin had everything to offer and more… Breathtaking views, relaxing sounds of nature, peaceful, quiet, welcoming, refreshing and rejuvenating! The girls and dogs never wanted to leave!!! I promised them we would return with the whole family next time and make it a tradition to come up here! The property managers were incredibly helpful and kind also when I called with questions. We truly felt at home and cannot wait to return back to this peaceful and breathtaking cabin - that bonded us all together even more! Thank you so so much for having us and we cannot wait to return!

Family get away

Our entire family was truly amazed at the awesome view from the decks of this property. The cabin's name, Homerun View, describes it perfectly. Our family included my husband and me, our daughter and son and their spouses and six grandchildren. Everyone had a bed and there was plenty enough in the cabin to do for our down time. It is very spacious and the three bathrooms with double sinks in each one made it a lot easier to accommodate everyone as needed. We all gave this cabin a 5 star rating!

Family Getaway!

The cabin was absolutely gorgeous! The area was peaceful and quiet! The stay exceeded our expectations. Everything was cleaned. The hot tub was amazing! We did have to call the property manager to come out and help us get it started. She called in a tech. They resolved the issue and we were able to enjoy the hot tub. The only issue was the cable. It never worked. Kept saying error. But other than that the stay was just about perfect! Would definitely recommend!

Christmas in the mountains

Perfect Getaway

I had a great experience with this property. It was clean, beautiful, and just as described on the listing. It’s the perfect location for a big family with a lot of kids or for a small group of friends. The only complaint anyone in my group had was that the WiFi was poor. Otherwise, everyone loved it. We will definitely visit again.
