A Wonderful Anniversary Stay

The Villa was everything described> Beautiful views from almost every room in the house. Great decking. Very clean and well stocked with cooking utensils (not that we cooked much) there were several types of coffee machines which was great for me and my son-in-law. We have several of these coffee makers between us. All in All it was a lovely time and we all loved the stay and the location. Barco Beach club was like eating at your own place, They are a lovely family owned business. Ian the owner of the Villa is also very gracious. Thank you Ina.

the best place for holidays

We stayed at villa Primerose last week of June. 3 families with kids. Villa is absolutely fantastic, really spacious with artistic decoration, perfectly maintained. Everything you could need in the house, was there. The view from any place of the house was spectacular! Beautiful surroundings, greenery perfectly manteined. We had great time during the day at the pool and evenings on the terrace. Great location, nerby cosy Sainte - Maxime where there are many good resaurants and attractions for kids.. I highly recommend this wonderful villa. Thank you Aaart and Ina for great communicationa and helpful information. Fantastic place and experience!thank you!

What dreams are made of!

This is my second time staying at Villa Primerose. This visit was with family including two teenagers. The property is well appointed with all the amenities of home but with an absolutely stunning view over the Gulf of St. Tropez. The kitchen encourages elaborate family meals and there are a choice if seating areas to choose from which makes cocktail time at sunset a rather fun decision. The pool is large for relaxing or games, and the games room was a welcome addition for a morning workout, table tennis or movie evening. We loved the secure parking for our cars and the shade it provided in the summer heat. It is a leisurely 15min walk into town. We truly felt spoilt at this villa and would thoroughly recommend it.

Wonderful property and location!

Villa Primerose is a wonderfully located villa, a short stroll from St. Maxime town centre. It is luxuriously appointed communal areas are perfect for large groups as there are a number of rooms, lounges and terraces to use. The property has gates to the front, side and rear which enhanced the feeling of safety of the villa. Each room has a great sea view and there are enough bathrooms / toilets to have accommodated our 10 guests. The swimming pool is a great size to enjoy. The villa is a 10 minute walk from town and is an easy journey. There is ample parking for 4+ cars too as there are two private gated areas to use. The bedrooms are well appointed and comfortable. The property has air conditioning which made for a comfortable environment. There villa is a short drive from larger supermarkets and well placed for day excursions to St. Rafael and St. Tropez. We would highly recommend anyone who is considering visiting St. Maxime to consider Villa Primerose.

Absolutely fabulous!

The villa looked good on Vrbo, but clever camera work can sometimes leave you a little disappointed with the real thing - not a bit of it, photos don't do this place justice - it is a total WOW. From the outset, Ina and Aart were really helpful and easy to deal with. We arrived very early and were able to leave the car and baggage so we could head off for lunch. Arriving back, the villa was beautifully presented and spotless. We were also able to leave a little later which, with late flights, made our last day so much easier. Settling in was quick and easy - St Maxime has a little bit of everything so there is no need to go far but it's also really well located to explore the coast. Our favourite trip was the ferry to St Tropez. But the best days were spent in the villa - kids (even the grown up ones) enjoying the pool, time to relax together and cooking in - with the views from the kitchen, the barbeque and the terrace were picture postcard perfect. Only complaint is that a week just wasn't long enough!

Fabulous

We were a family of 11 adults and 1 child under 2. The view from the terraces are amazing and the pool and surrounding areas are fabulous. However, the bedrooms are very mismatched. There is 1 amazing bedroom on the upper level with an en suite shower and toilet and is absolutely huge. There are 2 other bedrooms about a third of the size on the same level, 1 having and en suite shower/toilet and the other a shower/sink only. The remaining 3 bedrooms are on the lower level and are quite small sharing 1 toilet. It was names in a hat for the main bedroom which felt a little uncomfortable for the recipients and awkward for the rest of us. The gate for the property refused to open a few times but we were able to find batteries for the remote control. We had to replenish bin bags and a few other things from the supermarket that are usually provided in abundance but overall would definitely recommend this property. Thankyou for a very memorable week 😁

Villa Primerose

In general I would give this villa five stars, but...The villa is well located, clean and has magnificent views from the top floor. The master bedroom and bath are expansive, but maybe at the expense of the other five bathrooms. The other bedroom on the top floor has no en suite bathroom: just a toilet down the hall. The porch areas are great. The downside is as follows: we were given only two sets of keys/clickers to enable us to exit and gain entry to the house. At our peak, we had four cars, and this caused quite a few problems as we could not get out without a clicker or get back in. We were advised from the start that the property manager would give us details about how to operate this and that, but those details only came after asking specifically for them, and when they did come, two days before the rental, we were advised there would be no beach towels. Imagine going to a beach resort and the landlord does not provide towels. With parts of my family already scattered in Europe, we had to fill a suitcase in California full of towels. My other complaint has to do with the accuracy of the online listing. It was stated that the beach was 100 meters away. I can walk 100 meters in 20 seconds, and this beach, if you can call it that, was a spit of sand next to a sea of impassible rocks, and was a good ten minute walk severely downhill. I think this feature should be removed from the listing. Having written all that, I would return in a heartbeat. Merrill M

Dear Mr Magowan, Thank you very much for your positive review, although we love to have a 5 star review 😇. Regarding the number of key sets: you are right about this. We have now increased this number of keysets.. And anyway, there is always an extra set of keys in the keybox. The other bedroom on the top floor for sure has a en suite bathroom with bath and shower. Only the toilet is in the hall. It’s also visible at the floor map of the villa. And until your feedback we have never had any complaints about noise from the road upstairs. Concerning the beach towels, we provide two normal-sized towels and one extra-large towel, which can possibly be used as a bath towel. But if tenants want a special beach towel they should bring their own. We let them know this a week before arrival. We don’t provide them anymore because the bath towels often come back from the beach so soiled that we had to get rid of them. As for the beach, our information states that a small rocky beach is 300 metres away, Ste Maxime beach is 1.5 kilometres away and the famous Nartelle beach is 2 kilometres away. That VRBO apparently automatically makes it something else, unfortunately we cannot change it. But super nice that you appreciated your stay so much that you will come back. You are most welcome. 🙏🏻

Amazing Villa in wonderful location

The property is much bigger and more stunning than the website reflects. Big rooms, a beautiful view of st Tropez bay, and walking distance (15 mins) to the gorgeous town of Saint Maxime.

La Villa absolument fabuleuse

We had a blast in the villa! It is in a word amazing. Spacious, well equipped, nicely finished, privacy for all the guests. Not only the huge terrace offers the breathtaking view over the see. You can enjoy such moments also from the pool and a lower deck terrace. There are more than enough sun beds and cushions, loads of outside seatings where you can enjoy your meal or wine. The owners are super helpful so does the property manager. I would 100% recommend this villa.

Alle koste seg fra vi kom inn på område. Vi nøt hvert sekund og huset, terassen og bassenget svarte absolutt til forventningene. Takk til "huset" som gjorde dette til en uforglemmelig ferie. Gjester reiste og sa, dette kommer vi aldri til å glemme.

Gorgeous panoramic views and so much space!

We stayed at the villa for one week. Part of the week, it was just my family of four. The other part, we hosted another family of four and another couple. The views are magnificent. Every bedroom has a view or door that opens to a terrace. The terraces wrap all the way around the property and the views are excellent from both levels. I spent each morning on the upper terrace with my coffee and each evening with a glass of rosé. It actually made it hard to dine out because we knew we would not have the same marvelous views that the villa provided. We enjoyed all of the gathering spaces. There are two outdoor tables. We could have fit at one but we chose to let the children dine together and the adults to dine separately. There was a large indoor table but we did not use it as our weather was beautiful, and also a casual kitchen table. There were lots of large and small outdoor gathering areas. Sometimes we would gather on the sofas and sometimes just linger at the table. Plenty of space for people to be in small groups or altogether. It is truly a house that easily accommodates many people easily. The pool is clean and gorgeous with blue tile. Lots of seating in shade or sun. One thing to note for planning (as we were curious) is that there are two downstairs sections. They connect outside on the pool terrace but not inside. One stair leads down to the main pool entrance (the room with office) and has the adjacent exercise/recreation room which leads into a queen room with ensuite. We ended up putting the couple traveling without kids there as it was the most quiet and away from the kids. The king is on the main (and bathroom/king views are out of this world!) and another queen outside of the kitchen at the top of the other stairs. The three remaining twin bedrooms are downstairs. Each has a door to the lower terrace so they could change for the pool. It was easy to lock and we put the shutters on the windows at night so kids weren’t tempted to go out to pool. They also have an automatic cover that comes on/off for peace of mind. It was very hard to leave - thank you for a wonderful stay.

Fantastic Villa and trip

We were concerned about the challenges of covid and paying for the villa but from the outset Aart and Ina put us at ease and their communication was brilliant. They facilitated us having an early check in and late check out to suit our flight times for no charge and also allowed us to stay an extra night for a very reasonable fee. They kept in touch and answered all our questions in advance and even offered a 100% refund if we had to cancel right till the last minute. I cant speak highly enough of their customer service. The villa is huge, beautifully decorated and very clean. The pool is outstanding and with it being heated it made a big difference for the children. We were lucky with the Easter weather in france but have stayed at Easter in tenerife at a similar style villa and the pool was too cold and unusable. So the heated pool was very well appreciated. Internally the villa was perfect and very well decorated. The kitchen very well stocked and we used the bbq as well which was nice. We were 3 families of all different ages and all loved it, never on top of each other as its so big and the teenagers had space to sit on the ipads. I can't speak highly enough of the villa, it was perfect. The location is good, 10 minutes walk into St maxime centre and if you have a car it's easy to get to the supermarkets. Lots of nice bars and restaurants nearby and the beaches are good too. We took day trips to Gorges Du Verdon which is a must as its spectacular and monaco as well as other local towns such as St Tropez. Overall a great location, outstanding Villa and hosts who go above and beyond to help out. Don't hesitate to book this place. Finally, the views from the pool and terrace are just incredible and means you get sun from morning to night.

Fantastic villa with spectacular views

What a fantastic experience it has been renting this outstanding property from Aart and Ina. We first rented for summer 2020 without success due to the ever changing pandemic when we were prevented from travelling from the UK. Aart & Ina were fantastic in communicating with us throughout and allowing us an extension on the date we could receive a full refund. We had to cancel last minute and received a full refund. We therefore had no hesitation in rebooking for September 2021. There again the owners allowed us an extension on the full refund cancellation date as the travel rules to France kept changing but we managed to get all our party including 5 18-20 year olds vaccinated in time. The property is simply outstanding and well worth the wait. We were 6 adults and 5 young adults. There was loads of space for us all to do our own thing or be together. You never feel on top of each other. It is a huge property. From the table tennis competition, to bbqs, swimming in the gorgeous pool or just topping up our tans. The property is a short walk to the bustling town centre of St Maxime and a short boat ride to St Tropez, Port Grimaud or Pampelonne. We hired a boat for 11 for the day and went up into the hills Gassin for a lovely meal and great view. The huge wrap around balcony gives the most fabulous views of any property I have ever stayed in and encouraged us to rise at dawn to watch the sunrise. It became the focal point for us all to sit out with breakfast or evening drinks. The whole villa is pure luxury with a huge living room, a games room (with table tennis table , gym equipment, settees and tv and right next to the pool), large indoor dining area (also 2 outdoor dining areas), breakfast area, very well equipped kitchen, large spaces with tables, chairs and stylish decor. The outside of the property has lots of established trees and plants making it very picturesque. We would have no hesitation in returning and only wished we could have stayed longer.

Excellent location to explore Cote d'Azur

We were a family of 8 and enjoyed Villa Primerose very much. The house has a lot of space and luxury, and is well situated in the village St Maxime, with a beautiful view over the ocean and to St Tropez/bay. Great base to both enjoy quality time at home as well as explore the Coast/villages. Recommend to use the ferry shuttle, very convenient and fast. Schöne Lage - schlechter Service

Der Ausblick und die 1. Etage waren wunderschön. Dennoch lies die Sauberkeit sehr zu wünschen übrig. Fußleisten sowie Tapeten waren in sämtlichen Räumen beschädigt. Wasserkocher und noch anderes Geschirr musste vor gebrauch gereinigt werden. Der Backofen war so schmutzig, dass er von uns nicht benutzt wurde. TV in sämtlichen Räumen hat leider nicht funktioniert, Dusche defekt, Badewasser ab Mitte der Woche trüb, neue Handtücher vor gebrauch nicht gewaschen, Liegepolster schmutzig und von der Sonne verbleicht.... Unsere Betreuerin war nur per WhatsApp erreichbar und sehr unfreundlich. Die Hausbesitzer wollten sich bei uns persönlich melden. Leider bis heute nicht's mehr gehört.

Vue panoramique exceptionnelle !!

Propriété très bien située, suffisamment loin de la route pour ne pas avoir de nuisance sonore et à 15 mn à pied du centre de St Maxime. Vue exceptionnelle depuis le grand séjour et les terrasses. Aucune mauvaise surprise par rapport aux photos.

Nous avons passé une semaine avec nos amis (6 adultes et 6 enfants au total) dans cette magnifique villa avec une très belle vue. Tous les équipements sont disponibles. Un espace pour les enfants. La gérant de la location est au petits soins. Bref, très sympa, je recommande.

Perfect Villa for familiy and/or friends

One of the most beautiful villas you can imagine. The whole site was sober and the view over the sea is enormous.
