We had a fantastic week at this beautiful house in Cruachan! There was so much space in the house, so well-equipped and a huge bath to die for! The property was so peaceful and quiet - we had some evenings out on the wee bench listening to the birds and watching the sunset, one night we heard owls and the kids loved sitting in the lower sitting room drawing and reading. A great location with lots of walks and beaches nearby. Would highly recommend this lovely house for an Assynt holiday.

Cruachan Holiday Home is a superb property for a vacation stay. The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished with all the amenities required for a very very comfortable stay. The large property with its garden and the views are gorgeous. The property management was at all times very very responsive and helpful. This would be one of our top recommendations to anyone wishing to stay around Lochinver.

We loved staying at the Cruachan holiday house. Lots of space for all 5 of us and big bedrooms with en-suite for us. The bath in the main bathroom was lovely and deep too. The facilities were great with washer, dryer, drying racks iron and ironing board in the laundry room which we made full use of. Washing line outside with pegs provided. There was also a very well equipped kitchen. The smart tvs in the bedrooms, lounge and conservatory were definitely a hit with the kids. There was even one in the kitchen! We were very lucky to have great weather during our stay and spent a lot of time on the mainly beautiful beaches nearby with white sand and crystal clear water. Lots of nice walks- a really lovely walk from the house down to some woods. We went through and came to a stunning pebbled beach with views towards Loch Inver. Another highlight was the boat trip from Achiltibuie harbour around the Summer Isles to take in the scenery and wildlife. I’d say the only negative was that there was just a small Spa corner shop and petrol in Loch Inver (10 min drive) which closed on Sundays and another small shop (again with petrol, 40 min drive) in Achiltibuie. The nearest supermarket was in Ullapool but it wasn’t too much of an inconvenience, we just needed to make sure we stocked up when we were passing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be highly recommending the Cruachan house and the area to one and all.

An amazing place!

Cruachan is in a beautiful location. The house itself is very spacious, beautifully furnished, with light open space. The bathroom has a lovely big bath, perfect for relaxing after a long day of hiking or exploring. Plus a good shower. Another bathroom has a power shower. The bedrooms are comfortable with good beds. The kitchen is great - absolutely everything you need. Wildlife all around ... We put bird food out, and within an hour all sorts of wonderful birds were coming to the feeders. A perfect place for a peaceful getaway. Nearby Lochinver has many good places with great food.

Schönes geräumiges Haus in ruhiger Umgebung

Wir waren mit 5 Personen für 2 Wochen dort. Das Haus ist sehr groß und geräumig und mit allem ausgestattet, was man benötigt. 3 Schlafzimmer und 2 Bäder mit WC sind vorhanden. Sehr schön ist der Wintergarten. Die Lage eignet sich gut für Wanderausflüge in die nähere und weitere Umgebung. Die Landschaft ist atemberaubend schön, egal ob an der Küste oder im Landesinneren. Auto ist aufgrund der abgelegenen Lage notwendig. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war unkompliziert.

Home from home in stunning location

A true home from home. Stunning setting (saw deer and pine marten), loads of space to spread out, great WiFi & TVs (a real hit with my son especially during the Euros), very comfy and warm and well equipped with everything we needed. The area is just magical with superb walks all around. Recommend the pie shop! Definitely want to return.

Beautiful Place

This property was perfect for the four of us, two retired couples. We were there for 3 nights...one of the days during a heavy wind storm. It was a great place to ride out and watch the storm. It was a good starting point for touring the area, and the house itself is well appointed. You do, of course, need a car as there is not public transportation.

A piece of highland heaven

Lovely comfortable and cozy house about a mile south of Lochinver. Well equipped and furnished. We will definitely consider going back again for our next trip. A big thank you to the owner/s - we loved it.

Superb holiday

Hello - we had a wonderful time in your beautiful house. The house is so comfortable, and so well-equipped. A true chef's kitchen! We very much appreciated all the little extras - we arrived late and tired after a flat tyre en route, so it was so nice just to come and be able to relax. Thanks too to Chantelle for her help in connecting us to a local garage to help fix the tyre. My 88-year old mother was with us, and the house is very comfortable and accessible for an elderly person. We will recommend you to everyone, and hope to be back. All the best, Fiona and Stan
