Unique and secluded beach house with private grounds of 4 acres, private beaches, jetty and 200 metre sea frontage.

The beach house is located on the east side of Kirkøy with views towards Nordre and Søndre Sandøy and Herføl.

Built in 1931 and fully refurbished in 2017 with a new kitchen and bathroom, mains water and drainage. The property has parking for 2 cars and is 1.7 hours driving time from Oslo. Enjoy the calm, the views and the space without being overlooked by neighbours close by.

The space

The first floor consists of:

Entrance lobby, with space for coats

Bathroom, with shower, WC and washbasin

Kitchen, with full range of units and appliances including induction hob, microwave and normal oven, dishwasher and washing machine. Full range of crockery (Portmeirion – Botanic Garden) and glassware.

Living room extending to 30 m² with fireplace, sofa group, TV (RiksTV, Netflix etc), wi-fi (25 Gb a week free) and hi-fi, cupboard, bookcase and dining table.
Dining room with seating for at least 8 people and doors to terrace, which has a table and chairs for outdoor dining.

Bedroom 1, with two single beds, chest of drawers and hanging facilities.

Bedroom 2, with 160 cm double bed, bedside tables, chest of drawers and hanging facilities.

The second floor consists of

Bedroom 3, with two 90cm single bed with bedside tables, chest of drawers, chaise longue and hanging facilities.

Bedroom 4 with 180 cm double bed, bedside tables, chest of drawers and hanging facilities.

All the bedrooms are fully equipped with summer duvets, Egyptian cotton sheets and full-size towels.

The grounds:

The grounds are partly wooded and have several areas designed for relaxation and outside dining, with appropriate furniture and facilities for grilling including a large gas BBQ. Guests are free to use, at their own risk, the house’s bicycles and rowing boat. A boat with a 15HK outboard is available to hire for 2,500 NOK per week.

The sandy beaches slope gently into the bay providing ideal swimming conditions.
