Spectacular Oceanfront Corner Unit Condo at Kuhio Shores

Closest complex to the water in Poipu, this corner unit in Kuhio Shores is situated on the third floor. Repeat guests come year after year to enjoy our air conditioned oceanfront condo. Whether it's to be lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves, relaxing on the lanai enjoying a drink or watching the surfers, whales or the family of sea turtles that come in every evening to feed, staying here will be the highlight of your trip!
Our condo is a one bedroom with a king size bed. The bathroom is inside the bedroom. The fully-equipped kitchen has a blender, microwave, coffee maker, etc. We have beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella and cooler for guests to use. Laundry facilities are on each floor of the complex.
Compared to other one bedroom units our corner unit has several advantages. The view is spectacular--270 degrees. You can look out towards the bay and the green mountains beyond, and all the way around, down the coast of Poipu. Whales, porpoise, surfers and turtles can all be enjoyed from the privacy of your lanai. Speaking of privacy, our bedroom is on the ocean side, not along the hallway on the parking lot side. All you hear are the waves, not late night departing or early arriving guests with their suitcases. Whether you are honeymooners or retirees you will definitely appreciate the privacy. The corner units are the largest by square footage with a larger living room area. Another advantage of our corner unit is the superior ventilation. Huge bay windows facing into the trade winds allow flow through ventilation when the ocean side windows or sliding door are open. We also just added air conditioning for the rare days when the tradewinds don't cool you enough.

We enjoyed our stay in this unit. It had fabulous ocean views and was convenient to get to other areas of the island such a Poipu beach, Old Town Koloa, and Waimea canyon. And the drive to the north side of the island was really nice also. Enjoyed the Beach House restaurant next door for a special sunset dinner. The beach chairs came in very handy. Jennifer was very easy to communicate with. Would stay again!

I had the most amazing time! The place was immaculate! Had everything I needed, bed was comfortable and the view was incredible! Iā€™ve stayed at this location before but by far the best unit yet. I was able to see the sea turtles and was able to see the sunrise also if you go around the front of the building you can see the most incredible sunsets. Thank you and will definitely be back!

We love this spot! Amazing views! Nice and big for two people. Everything you could need. The people who own the condo are super nice, they happened to be staying at their other condo on the first floor. Right outside is great snorkeling! Very thankful for the a/c as well! The views were amazing and the hosts were very responsive to our needs. Many nights we shut down the air and enjoyed the trade winds. Daily we enjoyed turtles in the bay, surfers, sunsets, and listening to the waves. Weā€™re missing it already! Recommendations for restaurants are Cabana Bar and Grill, Tide Pools, Mama Bears Kitchen food truck, and our favorite was the island Market place at Coconut Marketplace in Kapaa for Teriyaki chicken and Moco Loco. Highly recommend catching the sunset on the other side of the Beach House and snorkeling at Poipu Beach to see the turtles, remember fins or water shoes for the rocky entry. Kōloa Rum safari, Wailua River tour to Secret Falls was a great workout, Backcountry Tubing and of course Waimea Canyon. Wonderful trip to celebrate my retirement. Mahalo for opening on your home to us. Highly recommend this condo!

We loved this place. It was beautiful. The views were stunning could see sunset and sunrise. The bed was very comfy - we had everything we needed. The beach chairs umbrella and towel were perfect for us to explore the island. Canā€™t recommend this place enough.

Can't beat these views!

From the moment we walked in and saw the incredible ocean views, we were so happy we decided to stay here. Loved spending time on the lanai, or sitting in the living room just watching the ocean, with the turtles, whales, surfers, snorkelers, sunrises... Going to sleep with the sound of the waves or waking to views of the starry sky in the middle of the night were also highlights. Loved our stay!

Oceanfront stay in Poipu

The light-filled corner unit practically hung over the crashing surf - delightful! An older unit so plenty of space. Well equipped - the mattress was extremely comfortable. Right next to our favorite restaurant - the Beach House - and a good snorkeling beach.

My lady and I went to Kauai for her 50th birthday and had a great stay at this condo. We went to sleep with the windows open hearing the waves crashing every night. I proposed to her on her B-day and she said yes!

The entire family loves the water so Kauai is a perfect place to play. We have owned Kuhio Shores #309 for over 40 years and purchased a second unit (#109) in Spring 2020.
Surfing, boogie boarding, diving, kayaking and enjoying the ocean views and sea life from our condo's lanai makes Kuhio Shores #109 & #309 perfect for us. We can enjoy these activities right out front while other family members can watch from the lanai.

O que faz essa propriedade ser Ćŗnica?

Even though we have been coming to Kauai for over 40 years, sometimes several times a year, we still find new things to do and wonders to see. Petroglyphs at Maha'ulepu Beach, the Awa'awapuhi Swamp Trail, Lawai Beach (restricted access), ocean kayaking to Kipu Kai, Kalihiwai rope swing, river Kayaking (Hanalei, Waimea, Kalihiwai), swimming behind Hanakapi'ai Falls on the Napali coast, Secret Beach, the list goes on. Our condo is central, 1 hr. from the west end of Polihale Beach and 90 minutes to the other end at Ke'e Beach. Of course sometimes the best thing is just to kick back on our lanai and watch the whales, surfers and turtles with a cold drink in hand.
