Escape to paradise in our luxurious, newly remodeled condo in the Kihei Surfside complex, located on the beautiful coastline of South Kihei/North Wailea, Maui. Just steps from the stunning Keawakapu Beach, our top-floor unit (603) offers breathtaking, unobstructed 180-degree ocean views from a private lanai. Enjoy spectacular sunsets, whale watching, and the soothing sounds of the ocean breeze, perfect for a romantic getaway.

Prime Location: Situated in the heart of Maui’s most picturesque coastline, our condo is steps away from the top-rated Keawakapu Beach.
Luxury Views: Newly installed floor-to-ceiling windows and glass railings provide incredible ocean views from every angle.
Modern Comforts: Recently upgraded with plush carpeting, beautiful roller shades, fresh paint, and new artwork.
Bedroom: Features a comfortable King bed, large dresser, and spacious closet.
Bathrooms: 1 full bathroom connected to the bedroom with a shower and tub, plus a half bathroom in the main hallway.
Fully Stocked Kitchen: Equipped with all necessary appliances and utensils for cooking.
Amenities: Plush new carpet (installed Summer 2021), linens, pillows, towels, flat-screen TV, DVD player, and beach towels.
Pool and BBQ Area: Newly remodeled pool and BBQ area with two high-end gas barbecues, perfect for cookouts while enjoying clear ocean views.
Oceanfront Lawn: Relax on the spacious lawn, swim in the oceanfront pool, or join residents for evening pupus and sunset gatherings.
Activities: Stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkeling, golfing, hiking, wine tasting, and whale watching are all nearby.
Convenient Access: Elevator and stairs available for easy access to the top floor.

Special Notes:

Construction Notice: Air conditioning construction is taking place at the Kihei Surfside, so there will be construction noise during business hours. Our unit will not have air conditioning, as the ocean breeze keeps it comfortably cool.

Whale Watching: Enjoy front-row seats to humpback whale sightings from our lanai during whale season (November through May).

Shopping and Dining: Close proximity to The Shops at Wailea, the beautiful Grand Wailea Hotel, and Kihei Town shopping center.

NO AC. Specifically looked for units with AC because this was our Baby Moon and my wife is 28 weeks pregnant and needed the comfort of AC which this unit had listed. Not broken AC, just didn't exist. First night we didn't know what we were getting into so we rolled with it. They said open all windows and back porch and there is enough breeze to cool the unit. Not cool enough to sleep until 1am. Second night we thought if we left all the living room screens open and bedroom windows open throughout the day it'd be a nice temperature at night. Nope. At this time we contacted the host who offered to move us to a different unit with AC but didn't get back to us until near the end of our third night. They said there was no unit available. During the hottest part of the day on the third day, it was actually quite cool in the unit from the tradewinds, but the vacuum effect in the unit felt like taking a nap in a tornado. For our fourth night stay, there was no response from the host. I understand that for a lot of Hawaii houses and condos the wind is the cooling factor. But that is not the same as AC and it should not be listed as an AC listing. Pros: the view is absolutely stunning and the kitchen is very well stocked.That being said, they definitely could upgrade a few appliances. The kitchen sink could use an upgrade. The wood ceiling fans are aesthetically pleasing, but my 150 Home Depot fans create more of a breeze on low than these do on high.

Fabulous in all areas! Thoughtful touches like enough TP, paper towels, foil, plastic wrap, dish soap — even plastic storage bags — for the length of our stay. There were even spatulas in the kitchen — something most rentals don’t have.

Great place for a couple with arguably one of the best ocean (and whale watching in season) views in the Kihei area. Grounds immaculately maintained and unit well equipped with everything you'd need. Minor quibbles: -Desperately needs new pillows for bed -Perhaps more ergonomic balcony chairs for longer viewing sessions -couldn't find kettle

Spectacular views, beautiful unit

We often stay at Surfside, but this was our first time staying at unit 603. We loved that it was positioned close to the oceanside and we could hear the surf directly from the window. This unit is wonderful! Beautifully furnished, it has a full bathroom in the master bedroom and a half bath in the hallway. The kitchen is nicely laid out and very functional. My only request would be that the owner would add a smaller frying pan. There's only one ginormous wok to use as a frying pan and while that's great for a family, it was just the two of us so frying one egg on a giant wok was a bit awkward. But that was the only thing we thought the condo can use. The kitchen was fully equipped. The bed was comfortable and sturdy.

Our stay was phenomenal. The unit was clean, had a beautiful view and Molly was very accommodating to me and my wife as we stayed on our wedding night. I would give this a 5 out of 5 every time and we will be return customers!

Beautiful!!

Everything was just as expected and more! We absolutely loved staying in this unit; the view was unrivaled! We enjoyed the constant whale activity and the brilliant sunsets. We definitely plan to return next year.

Amazing view

This was our second time staying at Kihei Surfside 603. We had such an amazing, relaxing time. The condo is really nice and feels like home. The view is absolutely spectacular! Close to everything we need. Those working at the building are really kind, friendly and helpful! We hope to be back for a third time! Molly's communication is excellent and timely.

Paradise right on the beach

Right on beautiful beach, top floor is perfect to watch the waves go by. Complex has paddleboard and kayak storage which makes it convenient to just get out of bed and go out! Short drive to some of the best beaches in Maui. We were a couple, it was perfect for us. Full kitchen with everything we needed for tasty meals. Thank you! We loved it!

Nice Place in Maui

Beautiful Location and Condo, Great pool, Kitchen has everything you need, Nice walking trails nearby ,near Kihei and Wailea. Nice beach just a short walk south of the condo. Very quiet at night.

Beautiful Condo in Maui!

This condo offers you everything! Beautiful location, well managed and lovely lanai for whale spotting and watching the world go by! Molly was very helpful as the host, we had a few questions which she responded to immediately. The condo comes with beach umbrella's and chairs which are always appreciated with a condo rental. We left snorkel gear for two to add to all of the other amenities. Kitchen well supplied.

Amazing ocean view.

We loved our stay at Kihei Surfside so much that we booked a week for next year before we left. The view was absolutely amazing and we really enjoyed watching the humpback whales. The condo was extremely clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. The office staff is really helpful and let us borrow some noodles for hanging out in the ocean. Communication with Molly was excellent.

Absolutely Wonderful!

This condo was such a delight to stay at! It had everything we needed including beach chairs and towels. The mirror in the dining area gave the condo a 360degree water view - extra special! The trade winds kept the inside temps perfect. You truly feel like you are on top of the world here. We watched multiple whales breaching from the lanai. We can hardly wait to return!

TERRIBLE host communication

Pros: -The views are BEAUTIFUL. Top floor immediately overlooking the coast. The sunsets were especially great. -Well stocked kitchen. Plenty of pots, pans, Tupperware, seasonings, and anything else you need for meal prep. Cons: -No A/C: As a few other reviews have noted there is no A/C. Even with breeze coming in off the ocean, the condo was very warm. -Noise: This is mostly driven by needing to have the windows open, but the bedroom overlooks the parking lot. So noise of car doors shutting, people talking, and worst of all, the dozens of roosters crowing kept us up at all hours. White noise apps help, but definitely don't solve the problem. -Wifi: works well in the living room but the signal isn't strong enough to reach the bedroom so doesn't connect at all -Host communication: the condo building was undergoing water line repairs that required a 10am-5pm water outage for our unit. We found out about the planned outage from signs posted in the elevator two days before. When we asked Molly for help calling the condo association or the management company to see if there was a vacant unit we could use for 30 minutes to shower before our dinner cruise (our alternative was showing up sweaty after hiking all morning or using a hose in the parking lot...), she didn't respond to our messages at all. Molly was quick to respond to initial questions during the booking process, but unfortunately when a problem with the condo came up she completely ignored our questions and requests for assistance. Being ghosted by your host when they failed to notify you (even though the condo office gave all owners two weeks notice) of an all day water shutoff sucks.

Nice Stay w/ Oceanside View

Really enjoyed my stay here. Communication with Molly was smooth and the check in process was great. The unit was exactly as pictured. Really clean and has all you’ll need for your stay. The unit does get extremely hot since there is no AC but opening the sliding door to the lanai brings in a nice ocean breeze.

Beautiful place and view

The host was very accommodating with our stay and check in process. We loved the view this place has to offer and the accessibility the location gives. Morning coffees on the Lanai is spectacular. The beach is just a walk away from the place. The park was pretty and the ocean breeze and spray felt great. I would definitely stay here again in the future

The Best View on Maui

Amazing view. Excellent location, Wailea oceanfront path just a short walk down the beach. Whales breaching right out of your window. Turtles on the rocks in front. Only two drawbacks to mention: carpet and roosters.

We are John and Molly Romais, the son and daughter-in-law to the owners, Jay and Theresa Romais. We're extremely passionate about managing the family condo at the Kihei Surfside. We live in Carlsbad, California and visit the condo several times a year with our daughter. We absolutely love Maui! We are a very active couple, both Ironman athletes who love spending time at the beach and enjoying all that Maui has to offer.
Jay and Theresa purchased this condo in 1987 so that they could spend their summer vacations in Maui. They spent a lot of time windsurfing, kite boarding, snorkeling, hiking and enjoying all of the beauty that Maui has to offer and still enjoy visiting to this day.
2016 was our first year on VRBO.
