Will definitely be back

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Heath Farm Holiday Cottages to celebrate my partner’s birthday and it was absolutely perfect! We stayed in Hazelnut. The cottage was gorgeous, spotlessly clean and so cosy. It was also very well equipped. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The surrounding scenery was beautiful and we couldn’t have asked for a lovelier setting. We especially adored the friendly and cheeky goats! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful Cotswolds escape. We would definitely love to come back next year!

Great stay!

We had a lovely time. The Hazel cottage is perfect for a couple, and we would definitely return. We had a great walk around the farm, seeing red kites, deer and sheep (in the neighbouring fields).

Excellent get away in the Cotswolds. Quiet and peaceful. Much car is given to the accommodation and the property that you are free to enjoy. Definitely would recommend and will be staying there again the next trip to the area.

Another Great Stay

This was our second time staying in Hazelnut at Heath Farm and we once again had a great stay. We didn’t need to go elsewhere if we didn’t want to as we could just walk around the grounds. It was quiet, relaxing, and the people friendly. We also really appreciate that it doesn’t smell of strong cleaning chemicals or perfume! Also the apples that they allowed us to pick from their orchard made a very tasty crumble!

A short break.

Heath Farm is a beautiful spot in the heart of the Cotswolds, approximately 6miles from Chipping-Norton. My wife and I were greeted by Brian who helped us with our luggage from the car park to Hazel-Nut cottage. Being the wrong side of seventy was very much appreciated. Brian gave us a very comprehensive brief of the layout and amenities, also a very detailed joining folder which we used considerably very useful for our successful stay at the cottage. I would certainly recommend this family run business to friends and family.

Marvellous location and wonderful farm settings

Heath Farm is very special. From the cottage we had wide views of the valley and lake and plenty of places to walk straight out of the door. Away from the farm there's the glorious Cotswold countryside and lovely towns and villages. The cottage itself is lovely, very comfortable with all the conveniences you'd expect, including of course a lovely log fire. This is a family run location and the care and desire to make your stay a happy one really shows. I would definitely recommend this place.

Just beautiful!

Forget the somewhat predictably snobby wording of certain "poshest B&B in the known universe" style press reviews that risk leaving a false impression. Heath Farm is in no way snobbish, it's just beautiful! An incredible amount of loving care and attention has gone into the highly individual architecture and landscaping, with its beautiful features and views, to make Heath Farm an unforgettable hide away. Very comfortable too. And genuinely friendly. In a (hazel) nut shell, yes! Thank you all.

Repeat holiday in The Hazelnut

We know the heathfarm complex well and still we relax and enjoy the cottage and the surrounding countryside everytime we come and it doesn't matter in which season. Walking around the property is always enjoyable, this time we were very close to deer. Although the weather was not great this time being able to light the wood fire in the evening makes for an ideal indoor evening.
Resposta de VrboOwner em 5 de jun. de 2025
Thank you so much for the fantastic review again. It makes it that more special to know that our many repeat guests consistently have a wonderful and relaxing time no matter if they're just relaxing on the farm or going visiting yet another local attraction for which there are so many. Many guests tend to return to us at the same time each year but as you've discovered our accomodation and grounds are special no matter what the season is and there's various benefits at various times of the year from snuggling up by an open fire in the winter to watching the new born lambs in spring to playing games and enjoying events outside during the summer through to autumn when there's bountiful things to forage as well as the leaves changing colour on our 70 acres woodland estate. We look forward to welcoming you back soon. Kind regards The Barbour Family

A little bit of heaven in the Cotswolds!

We stayed in Hazelnut Cottage at Heath Farm and it was one of the highlights of our visit to the UK. The Barbours have created a wonderful place to stay with walks about the farm property, a cozy and comfortable cottage and gracious hosts. The kitchen was well equipped with a full size (for the UK) fridge and everything we needed for the nights we decided to stay in for dinner. There is seating outside each cottage if you want to dine al fresco (which we did when it was warm enough) and a bar-b-que you can borrow if you want to grill. Its a perfect location to explore some of the beautiful Cotswold villages nearby, or just enjoy walks in the country and birdsong if you want to get away from it all. We did some of both and it was wonderful. I highly recommend staying here. I find it hard to believe you could find a more beautiful place to stay in this part of the UK.

Perfection in a nutshell! That's how we always described Hazelnut cottage. Although it's the smallest cottage we have it's so well designed to create a spacious feeling. Together with the craftsmanship and well equipped supplies it's no surprise we have so many returning guests. It's not just the loyalty discount they love! Kind Regards The Barbour Family

Relax and enjoy

Heathfarm is a place to just relax and enjoy the wonderful surroundings. The beautiful cottages hold everything you need and you can either enjoy the views on your doorstep or visit so many interesting places all within easy reach. Personally we just sit back and enjoy the views and lovely walks - a time to de-stress in ideal surroundings. That’s why we continue to come back time and time again - it’s always like coming home (we wish!).

Delightful Garden

The cottage was cozy and comfortable with a very well equipped kitchen. The terrace and pond just outside was an absolute delight with beautiful roses in bloom. It is in full sun so can get quite hot in the cottage when it is warm but a fan was provided. The farm property was fun to explore, and the games are a great option if you want to relax at the farm.

Such a beautiful place

We came here for a few days on our own after our wedding and I'm so glad we chose this place. The farm is so beautiful and you can just wonder where ever you want to. We went fishing and played games on the lawn and was really able to relax. My fave was watching the sunset by the firepit. Mon and the family are delightful and very welcoming and the cottage itself was really warm and homely and the added extras were the icing on the cake. I can't wait to return with our children.

Absolute tranquility and comfort! Will be back! HIGHLY Recommend

We stayed in Hazelnut and couldn't be happier - From the milk and cake waiting for us to the extraordinarily comfortable beds, we felt spoiled in the best of ways. There was an unlimited supply of firewood so we were able to keep cozy and warm. They even had it prepped so all we had to do was light a match. The grounds are picturesque. It felt like we were in a painting overlooking the goat-speckled hill. The sounds of the nearby woods and winds across the grass were grounding and peaceful. We enjoyed a walk through the woods. It was Autumn so we watched pretty yellow leaves sprinkling down like gentle rain. The kitchen had everything we needed and was perfect. The couch - comfy and relaxing. The bed - I slept 11 hours and I don't usually sleep well. I just kept going back to it and sleeping. We nearly cancelled all our plans we had prepaid to just stay there but we pried ourselves out. Like other reviewers, we wish we had booked it for longer. The pond is nice and had fishing poles there. I caught and released a good-sized trout - sooo fun! The staff and people working on the property were all very friendly and helpful. One recommendation, if you get there after dark you can find the parking area but then finding the cottage is a little confusing. I may have missed some directions that were emailed though. It is nice and dark out there so you can see the stars very clearly when there are no clouds. The darkness is wonderful for sleep but n Tot easy if you get there after the sun goes down. The host was immediately responsive and helpful when I messaged that we were lost on the property. After we found the place the first time, we had no other struggles. I would recommend looking at it from Google Earth before going so you don't do like we did. This is a must-stay location and I travel all over the world in a variety of different venues. This was one of my favorites for the tranquility, comfort, thoughtfulness, kindness, and beauty. Oh, you can also order more cakes from them and arrange in advance for meals, groceries or other things for an extra cost. We wish we had taken advantage of that opportunity. Book now if you're even considering it!

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such an amazing and detailed 5 star review! It sounds like you made the most of the cottage and grounds. All our cottages have well stocked kitchens with every implement you should need to create wonderful dishes and the pocket sprung orthopedic mattresses and high quality bedding ensure a great night sleep. It's a very common comment that guests feel they didn't stay long enough! For reference it's also better value the longer you stay as our short break prices are based on a percentage of our weekly price and not a nightly price. We hope to see you back here again one day. Short break

The cottage was everything that was promised and the owners and family were on hand to assist and answer any questions in a helpful and pleasant manner .The cottages are well located to explore and enjoy the whole Cotswold area . There are ample grounds to walk around the cottages, feed the fish and observe the abundant wildlife. A thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing short break , it would have been good if we had been able to stay longer.
