Pena I, your holidays in the center of Funchal.

This apartment is in the center of Funchal, 10-15 minutes walk from the traditional market and the marina. It has 2 spacious bedrooms with queensize bed. It has two bathrooms and a fantastic and ample outdoor space where you can enjoy the good weather and sunbathing or a meal with friends and family!
If you want to rent a car, the building has a garage where you can park.
The apartment is large and fully equipped with all amenities.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD OVERVIEW
We are right in the center of the city, which is the same as saying that there are points of interest everywhere. Funchal Cathedral is 10 minutes away and the Old Town area as well. Nearby you can find supermarkets, shops and bakeries.
In the center of Funchal there are restaurants for all tastes, terraces, museums, gardens and of course the city bay and promenade, ideal to end the day!

GETTING AROUND
The best option to get to the apartment will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It’s cheaper than the taxis you find at the airport!
If you care about the environment and prefer to move with all comfort and style, you can book a transfer in a beautiful and innovative TESLA MODEL S “Full Electric”.

OTHER OBSERVATIONS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (passport or identity card).
- Check-in hour must be scheduled in advance. If it is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours before, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also put a cot, a high chair and a baby bath if needed. There is a first aid kit, fire extinguisher and blanket on all properties.

ATTENTION
Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Funchal. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. When you arrive, you will receive a link to pay this municipal tax.

Big apartman near everything.

The apartman was so big with two bathroom and garage. Everything was near, but wasnt noisy.

Would use again

If you are up to a 15 minutes walk uphill to this property from the town centre then I can recommend this property. We would certainly use it again. The beds were very comfortable (although the pillows were a bit lumpy). The bathrooms were spotlessly clean and there was a good supply of hot water in the mornings for two of us to shower. The TV proved a challenge to work but we finally worked out that it had Prime TV and Youtube. A brief explanation of the handsets would have been nice. The property had everything you could need on holiday - washing machine, extra utility sink for washing off boots, drying rail, microwave, etc. It also had fans and heaters in the cupboards, which we didn't need. It was set away from the noise of the city and the traffic and we were almost unaware of other residents in the block, as they were so quiet. The barking dogs (which can, unfortunately, be found wherever you stay in Madeira, even near the best hotels) were just far enough away and did stop towards midnight. The information from the owners both before and during the stay was excellent. The only criticisms we had were the kitchen unit doors, which were well past their best, and the difficult key/lock on the front gate, but this did not affect our enjoyment of the property.

Very Nice apartment

The apartment is very nice, and it is great with the small garden. Everything worked well also with the host, including communication and everything. We arrived earlier and were allowed to check-in right away, which we really appreciated. Only thing to mention is that there are no shops nearby (at least we did not find them). The nearest shop we found was app 1 km away and we had to walk a very steep road on the way back from shopping, which was quite exhausting.

Stay at Pena 1

Had a very nice stay at this accommodation. Comfortably appointed and having 2 bathrooms a big plus. In a quiet residential area, apart from the occasional enthusiastic barking of local dogs. About 15 minute walk into centre, a bit tiring walking back up to apartment as it is uphill. Then we discovered number 26 bus stops right by front door, with 2 other buses stopping close by. Made life a lot easier. Would wholeheartedly recommend this apartment.

Brilliant stay. Lovely apartment with a well stocked kitchen and about 10 minutes from the centre of funchal. Nice secluded garden and underground parking if you hire a car. Very responsive and helpful.

Found the service friendly and very welcoming - property very clean and well maintained and great location. Lovely garden to relax in during the evenings, the kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary items with a benefit of a washing machine - two bathrooms and very spacious bedrooms and comfortable beds - it was a great stay and would recommend and will most definitely return Thank you
