Old family house and full of charm for your holidays!

A few years ago, we needed to escape, Guillaume and I decided then to have a place to leave the city with our three children, Ysée, Lazare and Céleste and enjoy nature. We live in Paris and it is not always easy to bear its pollution, noise with green spaces increasingly reduced.

We decided to visit the area when nature is the most hostile, namely winter. We told ourselves that if the countryside would please us in the middle of winter, it would not disappoint us in the spring. And that's exactly what happened, we fell in love with this region.
We had a real crush on this house, former presbytery of Sementron. From old stones, old tomettes, when we entered the kitchen we knew that this place would be for us.

It is an authentic house, in its own juice and full of history. We simply furnished it.

You want to find yourself in the heart of the countryside, with friends or family, relax in the orchard, in the shade of apple trees in a hammock or play football, badminton or yoga! You are in the right place. This former presbytery welcomes you and you will find the charm of yesteryear, the old tiles and the serenity of the place. Our house is spacious, rustic and simple.

At the Presbytery, we disconnect, no wifi, or television, at least a screen to view DVDs and old movies! For us this house is above all a great need of nature, for our eyes, from green to infinity, for our ears, the song of birds in spring, and for the nose, the smell of grass cut , firewood in the fireplace, grilled sausages on the barbecue, but also the roses of the garden!

As Larcenet said, "the return to the land" the real life! If we connect to something it is in the present moment and in nature.

The house has 5 spacious bedrooms and can sleep up to 12 people. One bedroom on the ground floor and four other bedrooms upstairs:

1) One bedroom downstairs: a double bed
2) A room upstairs: a double bed
3) Three communicating rooms including:
One children's room: two single beds and a sofa bed (2 children or 1 adult)
An adult bedroom: a double bed
One adult children's room: one double bed, two single beds

One bathroom, on the other hand, on the ground floor, you have to organize! But this has never been a problem and we have always been able to welcome our friends and their children. And in the bathroom a washing machine.

The toilets are on the ground floor.

On the ground floor, a large kitchen with a working fireplace and what happiness to eat in the kitchen by the fire or play games with children, this kitchen gives access to the courtyard that allows you to eat outside in the shade of linden trees in summer. No internet, but everything you need to cook (gas hob, gas oven) and a dishwasher.

Finally, two lounges to bask in the Presbytery, sofas, chairs of music and still board games.

The inner courtyard, in the shade of lime trees can accommodate your lunches and dinners but if you prefer large tables, you have access by a staircase to the immensity of the garden and the orchard. All garden equipment is available in our workshops.

In the orchard, apples, pears, not yet scoubidou but cherries, mirabelle plums and plums. If the fruits are walls, serve to eat them or make pies.

We try to garden, the success is mixed, but again in the summer we can have tomatoes and zucchini garden that are available.

In any case, every Saturday morning, the Toucy market will delight gourmands. In 2018, this market was part of the 25 most "Fine Markets of France". And every summer week-end, you can enjoy Toucy, the "Apéro Concerts" on Saturday evening. We also advise you to taste the butcher in Fontenoy, Christophe sells products of exceptional quality and cheap. Saturday is his tour, and as in the good old days, he goes around villages to sell his products. Around 15h, it stops right in front of our Presbytery to treat our taste buds.

In Toucy, you can also enjoy a ride in Cyclo rail, with your children and the pool on hot summer days. The Presbytery has no pool, only the trees and vegetable garden and the grass under your feet
If you want to dive into the world of Colette, we give you an appointment with Saint Sauveur. You can visit the museum and in the summer enjoy the potters' fair, this is the region Ceramists!
For aficionados of Brocantes, do not miss in August, the Flea Market of Mezilles and the restaurant of Cornelius, the Moulin de Corneil.

For lovers of old stones and history, it is necessary to go to visit the Chantier Medieval Guedelon and sports and less sports, tree climbing and bike rides in the countryside or on the Canal du Nivernais.

Our presbytery, in the heart of the Puisaye, will allow you to visit and make the most of what offers the North of Burgundy, a built and natural heritage of great wealth.

And for those who would like to celebrate their union in Sémentron, you even have a party room in the abyss, beautiful place to celebrate his wedding. And after the party, if you are looking for a place to sleep, you just have to walk back to the presbytery to go to bed, without having to take your car!
