Situated in the beautiful village of Snowshill, Apple Cottage is not short of character with its stone open fire place, mullion windows and exposed beams. Tastefully furnished, thoughtfully equipped and with stunning far reaching views, Apple Cottage is the ideal base for one or two couples, or a family with older children.

The majority of this characterful accommodation is situated on the ground floor, including a cosy sitting room with dining area; a light filled pretty kitchen; a useful utility area; along with the family bathroom with separate cloakroom/wc; and bedroom one, complete with en-suite shower room. Upstairs, spacious bedroom two occupies the entire first floor and benefits from dual aspect windows and a comfy king-size bed. Outside, the charming cottage garden is mature and very well-stocked; the perfect spot to enjoy those enviable views

Apple Cottage is set within the heart of Snowshill, a secluded village awash with traditional pretty cottages. Perched on top of the Cotswold escarpment with heavenly views across the Cotswolds, this is the English countryside at its best. The village is less than 3 miles from beautiful Broadway, often referred to as the 'Jewel of the Cotswolds', packed with independent traders, tea rooms, pubs, shops, art galleries and restaurants.

The local friendly pub, the Snowshill Arms, is in stumbling distance and is a perfect ending to a day out sightseeing in this beautiful part of the world. Or walker’s can set off from the front door and enjoy the ramble across to Stanton, where you can enjoy a well earned pub lunch and enjoy the amazing views at The Mount pub (booking essential).

A short walk from the property takes you to the National Trust's Snowshill Manor House and Gardens and tea room. Just up the road is the Cotswold Lavender Farm along with a delightful tearoom and shop selling the range of the farm's lavender products. The lavender flowers from June, and for several weeks the rows of plants make a spectacular sight.

Cotswold Gem

Hidden down a flower edged gravel drive, this delightful cottage has a picture perfect position overlooking countryside hills. Though not a large cottage, each room is well proportioned with two large bedrooms at either end of the building and a well sized living room with a functional inglenook log fireplace. We loved the attention to detail throughout the property, it feels like you live there, rather than you’re in someone else’s house! An attractive courtyard garden with a comfortable dining table is a perfect spot to enjoy the birdsong and scenery. Daniel & Fern

Beautiful Cottage and Location

Apple Cottage is in a wonderful location and provided an excellent base for exploring the Cotswolds. The patio and garden are particularly attractive and were a lovely place to relax after a day of sightseeing. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but there were a few areas where the cottage did not quite meet our expectations. We were disappointed that there was no welcome hamper on arrival, particularly after a long journey from California. The cleanliness could also have been better—the dishwasher still contained dirty dishes when we arrived. The kitchen was generally well equipped but would benefit from some attention to the utensils, particularly sharper knives. The cottage itself is comfortable and charming, and with a little more attention to housekeeping and maintenance, it would provide an even better guest experience. Overall, it was a lovely place to stay, and we would certainly recommend it for its excellent location and beautiful outdoor space.

The Perfect Cottage in the English Countryside

Our stay at Apple Cottage was absolutely perfect! The cottage and surrounding gardens are straight out of a picture book and the location is perfectly appointed for getting to all the nearby Cotswold villages. When we return to England, we will definitely book it again!

A month with a view

We loved our stay at Apple Cottage. The staff which supports the cottage were fantastic and so helpful. Interim house cleaning was much appreciated. Sitting on the terrace and looking at the hills, you feel like you are in a story book. So much to see and do from this conveniently located home. The gardens were spectacular. A perfect place for either 2 people or 2 couples. Thanks for a truly memorable stay! We hope to return to Apple Cottage.

Lovely house in a beautiful village. Very close to Broadway and other places of interest. Unfortunately, one of the toilets malfunctioned but it did not stop us enjoying a really relaxing break.

Loved it!

We had a wonderful time at Apple Cottage. Can only think of superlatives for this wonderful stay: clean, elegant and tastefully decorated, fully equipped, delicious products in a welcome basket. The terrace with comfortable garden furniture and the beautiful spacious (!) garden with lovely flowers and apple trees, pond and various seating areas offers plenty of opportunities to relax and enjoy the silence and tranquility. Here you can experience the deafening silence which is hard to find nowadays. We have already booked our next holiday in Snowshill and that says it all.

Enchanting Apple Cottage

Amazing property with the most incredible views! The cottage’s garden was completely enchanting with its own pond and wishing well. We could see the lush green hills and grazing sheep from our bed every morning. The property is exactly as described in its listing. It had everything you could need for a very comfortable stay. I can only hope we can return some day.

I cannot fault this cottage. The only minor thing was the lack of a good coffee machine :) Beautiful garden too, but the set could do with a bit of paint.

Lovely cottage in idyllic location.

This is a lovely, comfortable cottage in an idyllic location. It's just a short walk a lovely pub; The Snowshill Arms and within short driving distances of traditional & charming Cotswold towns. To add to this National Trust properties and a steam railway are nearby. The cottage itself is extremely comfortable and boasts DVD / Blu Ray players for watching your favourite films whilst sitting in from of the log fire. A very generous welcome basket was provided on arrival which was very much appreciated. Overall a really lovely cottage.

Unmatched beauty in a Cotswold gem of a town

Honestly, even the gorgeous pictures did not quite prepare me for how stunningly Apple Cottage is situated in its tiny valley with sheep-studded hillsides stretching up around and birds seemingly everywhere. The back of the property abuts to the owner's beautifully terraced garden yard and pond. We saw many lovely little Cotswold towns during our stay, but none were as beautifully situated as Snowshill -- my son could hike for scenic miles from our door every morning, yet nearby Broadway was an excellent resource for anything we needed. We certainly hope to return.

Outside is a terrace area with a table and seating for four where you can enjoy the idyllic views across the Cotswold countryside. Charcoal barbecue provided.
Please be aware, a large, deep pond is situated in the owner's neighbouring garden, therefore children must be over the age of 12 years of age to stay at Apple Cottage.
