Escape to this private Missouri River Canyon home with very easy access to 100 feet of blue-ribbon fishing frontage. Enjoy easy on or off access to the river right in the back yard, launch or take out your own drift boat, raft or kayak. It's easy to find location midway between Great Falls & Helena, MT., being just 2 miles from Exit 244 on I-15. On just over a half acre this 1200 sq. ft. home features a living room, full kitchen, dining room, one main bedroom with a queen bed and full bath. Cathedral ceilings and over sized windows in the living room allow for a breath taking view of the river from the living room. From the living room there is also access to the wrap around deck, complete with a gas grill and patio furniture for even more Missouri River experience, the perfect ending to a day of Montana fun! The private mini cabin with it's own private deck, queen bed, tv and mini fridge is the perfect get away if you choose to take advantage of some solitude. The pristine yard on the edge of the Missouri River can play host to anything you desire from a fire on a cool Montana evening in the custom river rock Fireplace/BBQ, bocce ball, volleyball or just relaxing and enjoying a fabulous Montana sunset. It's all waiting for you, come get away!!!

Great location on the river, the house was clean and homey. A wonderful place for a fishing vacation.

We chose this cabin as it was the only one offering a hot tub , there was no hot tub (broken) it was still in the listing day before we got there notified the host how to put water in it and was told it needed new parts ,place was dirty not cleaned took multiple pictures as we we starting to feel uncomfortable ,expired food in frig(had to sanitize , blood splatter in the micro wave ,bbq filthy dirt and cobwebs on window sills , took pictures before and after we left to show how it should have looked when we arrived , pretty sure we were the first to rent this year and not much effort was put into getting it ready Was expecting the host to make it right but never heard from her after the hot tub , place did have an amazing view and great access to the river , for the price we would have stayed somewhere less expensive with better accommodations knowing there was no hot tub

We arrived late on our first night and quickly noticed that there were mouse droppings on several of the surfaces. We cleaned up what we could and I notified the host and asked if she had any traps. She did not respond, and by the second day, it was clear that this wasn’t a 1 or 2 mouse problem. We had so many mouse sightings, that I lost count and was able to get them on video. The house was infested with deer mice, the primary carrier of the hantavirus. Had we had any other option, we would have left, but given the area and time of year, there were no other accommodations available. Instead, we spent all our time outside on the deck, stored our food in a plastic bin, sanitized the kitchen and dishes with every use, cleaned up mouse feces, left windows open, vacuumed, and tried not to jump every time a mouse ran by. When I messaged the host on the third day, she finally responded and was initially apologetic but then was slow to respond regarding a refund, so I had to reach out to VRBO. When she did get back to me, she down played the problem and even implied that a couple of diced tomatoes we left in the garbage disposal where the reason we had seen mice, not the cupboard full of old food, bread that was left on top of the fridge that was dated a few weeks back, or the infestation. She did say she had sanitized the house after we left and pest control was coming. For reference, we have stayed in 20 rentals and have never left less than a 4 star review.

Fishing trip

The property is nice, great view with big deck. Husband and father fished out front, they also did a guided fishing trip from Craig which is very close. Watched eagles come and go all day. Kitchen is stocked with condiments and spices, all the dishes and pans the you need.

Needs some attention

Upon check in Wi-Fi didn’t work. No cell coverage so Wi-Fi is important. Shower did not work. Looks it hadn’t been used in decades( tub works, just tge shower did not) Wi-Fi was resolved after I drove to cell coverage and talked to the owner to find out where the modem was. Tub was full of box elder bugs too

This is a great location away from noise and busy streets. Great view of the river and wildlife. We initially recognized some issues and communicated to the owner. We received an immediate response and efforts were made within a day to resolve the issues. We later learned that the issue was something everyone in that region of the state was dealing with, and was not unusual. Overall we had a great place to rest and eat in between fishing, and the owner was very responsive.

Missouri River fishing cabin

Main house is small but has all basic amenities. Unusual set up with a hot tub in the anteroom. The second “bedroom “ is really a Tough Shed type arrangement separate from the house; not a place if you have claustrophobia! Caution: there is a large amount of food in the refrigerator that is extremely out of date, ie Worcestershire sauce that expired in 2005, mustard expired in 2015. Get your groceries before you arrive. The view from the porch makes up for any of the downsides

Gorgeous View from the Deck

I can't think of a prettier setting than this cabin. We saw a pair of bald eagles fishing, mountain sheep climbing the cliff, a buck deer, etc. from the living room and deck.

Just what we needed

Could not have been nicer. The property is located right on the river with fishing right out the back door. The Deck is amazing with views of the river. The cabin has two bedrooms, one in the main house and one 20 feet down by the river which we liked. The bedroom down by the river provided a cool place to sleep with the sounds of the river putting me to sleep and a view of the stars. The house has everything you will need to make your stay worry free. One hint if you must have cellphone service is to connect your phones to the WiFi in the house and enable VOIP on your phone. The Cabin sits in a beautiful canyon and there is no AT&T cell coverage. The home was clean and well appointed to cook meals and enjoy the views. The hot tub was nice after being in the river fishing. I have stayed in many VRBO's and this is a real gem, we will be back again. Tnx Pam for sharing your beautiful property.

Not exactly as advertised

Clean, yes. Fully appointed, yes. Two bedrooms? Not exactly unless you count a "cabin" located 20' from the back door with a bed and TV as an attached bedroom. Sleep 6? Not unless one used the couch. WiFi and Telephone not working (the owner claimed to try to fix) and as no cell service in the canyon, no communication. Kitchen is small but can work. Nice view, but now what expected from description.
