This home backs up to the National Forest. Starting from your own backyard, you have easy access to skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, hiking, mountain biking and all summer activities. It has three bedrooms and is warm and inviting from the moment you walk in. The master with a king size bed is on one side while the guest rooms, (1-King, 1-Queen) are on the other which is perfect for privacy. Two rollaway beds in the closet for children. Nice open floor plan and the kitchen is fully furnished includes washer/dryer.
3 Night Minimum; 4 Night Minimum (peak holidays); No Smoking; Pets Allow with Deposit

Just got back home from our stay in Pagosa Springs, and what can I say the house was perfect!!! Check was easy and had everything we needed. It was a plus that it was pet friendly. Location was good too. I would definitely recommend this place !

Clean, Perfect Location, and Well stocked!

The location of this property is perfect for folks who want to get out into the National Forrest - that's my favorite thing about it! It is also very clean, well-maintained, and the kitchen is very well-stocked. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Excellent Stay

Perfect for our family and two dogs. Excellent peaceful location, right next to National Forest access. The home was very clean and well apportioned. Highly recommended and we will likely be staying there again!

Thank you for your review. We are very happy to hear that you & your family enjoyed our home. As a fellow cyclist, I hope that you were able to take advantage of the mountain bike trail system in the backyard. We take pride in keeping the home well furnished, updated & clean. Additionally, we take pride in our reviews so we were surprised with the 4/5 rating (based on location). Perhaps I'm being overly sensitive but when you & I spoke prior to your stay, access to the National Forest (not possible from a downtown location) was a key factor in your decision to book our home. So that potential renters are aware of our proximity to town, we provide a map of the home that is viewable prior to booking. Thank you again for the feedback. I will edit the text in our listing to include that the home is 6.7-mile / 12-minute drive to town. Christine & I would hope that if your travel plans bring you back to Pagosa Springs you would choose to stay with us again. Best, Jason

Family friendly

We felt welcome and comfortable from the moment we drove up to the house. We were greeted with Christmas lights and a Christmas tree. There was plenty of room for my family of six. The property was very clean and had everything that we needed. We would love to come back next time with our dogs!

Excellent Place

Location in Hatcher was great for us, we love being close to the national forest, its a little drive from town but not bad. The place was great, communication with manager was very good. An extremely well-equipped kitchen, great bedroom layout, and new carpet in those rooms. Nice floor in the main living space, back deck and backyard was very nice with good hiking right from it.

Homey & Welcoming

We had a wonderful stay in this very comfortable home. The master bedroom was huge. Even the closet was large enough to be a "wrapping room" for our Christmas gifts. The kitchen was well-stocked and so was the wood pile for the wood-burning stove. We had lots of snow while we were there and really enjoyed watching people snowmobile & snowshoe in the National Forest beyond the backyard. We had to shovel the walk & driveway almost daily but there was a snow blower that made the job easier.

Great for active people and those with dogs!

We hiked every day and it was great to access trails right from the backyard! The house smelled slightly of pets upon arrival and the master bathroom had strong odor of litter box, and there were pet stains on carpet in two of the rooms. But since we brought our dogs we didn’t let that bother us. We enjoyed a home cooked Thanksgiving meal and we were grateful they had most every pot/pan we needed. My mom brought her own roaster. My children loved it there and we all felt right at home! I would recommend this home to anyone with children and dogs!

Thank you for the review, we are happy to hear that you & your family enjoyed your Thanksgiving at our home. We are very surprised to hear that you experienced a “strong odor of litter box” in the home. My wife & I were at the home immediately prior to & after your visit and we have no cats. Further, we do not allow cats in the home and you are the first guest to mention anything of this nature. Unfortunately, over the lat 6 years there have been a couple of instances that guests pets have had accidents (which have left stains in the carpet) in the home. The carpets are thoroughly cleaned but unfortunately pets & occasional stains are part of owning dogs & renting to dog owners. Coincidentally, the home is scheduled for new carpet installation this week, so that will no longer be an issue. Thank you again. Jason

Pleasant enough

My family and i enjoyed our stay. Jason was wonderful with communication during our stay. House has plenty of room, comfortable beds and all the kitchen amenities you need. We did not bring our pets, but a great place for your pets as Jason and his wife has special amenities for your pets. Very close to town and the national forest is just right outside the neighborhood. You do have to trailor your ATV'S to national forest entrance but its literally like 2 minutes to get there. The only thing that i would have personally wanted to know before renting is the location. We personally wanted something more secluded, but came to find this property in a neighborhood with very close neighbors. If you want something close to town and close to entrance of forest then i totally recommend, but just know you are in an HOA neighborhood if that matters to you. Overall, wonderful time, nice clean place and owners are very nice and try their best to make you feel at home.

Pleasant Stay

The property was clean, comfortable, and well-located with a trail into the San Juan Mountains, accessible from the back yard. The owner was helpful, considerate, and pleasant. We had a great vacation and would highly recommend this house to other families.

Beautiful home with the National Forest as your backyard. Only 200 yards up the main road to miles of amazing ATV trails. Pagosa Springs is only 20 minutes to great restaurants and shopping. Thanks Jason!

Convenient location with all the bells and whistles!

From arriving at the door to the end of our stay, we has everything at our convenience. The home is clean and stocked with all you need for a great time including items for your dog! Surrounded by homes in a great neighborhood, but tucked away with zero traffic!

Winter Wonderland

Property was very nice and family had a great time on our trip. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need. The owners really put a lot of thought into making things convenient and making sure you have what you need. Our dogs were happy and enjoyed playing in all the snow. My son said his shower wasn’t warming up (he took a couple chilly showers) so we just had him use the master shower after that. Overall, a very nice relaxing vacay.

Thanks for the kind review Andrea, we're happy you enjoyed your stay at our home. Sorry to hear your son had a cold shower in the front room. Unfortunately, in the winter our pipes sometimes get quite cold & the water heater is in the garage, closer to the master bathroom. I wish you had notified me sooner so I could turn up the setting on the water heater to help mitigate the problem. Again, thanks for staying with us. Great location in quiet neighborhood w/trails outside door

We really enjoyed our stay and appreciated that the owners make pets feel welcome, with extra bowls, treats, pet waste bags, etc. The location was perfect, with trails right out the back door. We had everything we needed to cook at the house. Jason was very helpful with local recommendations. We’d definitely go back. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Pefect Retreat for Family

This was last minute trip for our family to take a break post-holidays and our day to day COVID life of working and schooling from home. Jason has helpful and always quick to respond to any questions. The home was cozy and everyone settled in quickly. The location is convenient to Wolf Creek Ski area and many other area attractions. The trails behind the home were great and our dog waited by the backdoor each morning for a walk in the snow. Thank you for a great stay!

Spectacular Home!

This cute place is nestled in a neighborhood close to town but not too far out. Fantastic back yard that leads right into a trailhead. Home has everything you can think of - fully stocked kitchen, sleds, smart TV setup, precut firewood. Plenty of space to cook and hang out. The listing photos really do not do this home justice. We enjoyed it so much!!

Great House in Pagosa Springs!

Spent a week with family in this awesome house! Clean, well equipped, and spacious. Conveniently located to downtown Pagosa Springs and Wolf Creek ski area. The hosts were amazing, and very quick to respond. Would definitely recommend, and we look forward to our next visit!

Our family has been vacationing in Pagosa Springs for over a decade. The people are genuinely friendly, the town is authentic & fun and the environment is an outdoor enthusiasts dream playground (year-round). Pagosa is a family-friendly summer & winter playground!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

We named our home "Fox Run" because of the fox that comes through the backyard each morning. On occasion, it can be seen running & playing with the neighbor's dog Dayzee. At dusk, the deer come out of the forest to graze & bed throughout the backyard. The Turkey Springs trailhead about 100-yards from our backdoor, so enjoying a hike, or spending the day mountain biking, snowmobiling or on the ATV's is all right here.
