This was our third visit to Thistle Dubh and once again it was a great success. Our hosts are welcoming and helpful. The accommodation is well equipped with great attention to detail infact everything you could want is provided including a copy of the local TV listings. The cottage is very clean and warm and absolutely perfect even for my husband who is confined to a wheel chair. There are many interesting and beautiful places and the arrival of a new supermarket about a ten minute walk away makes self catering a pleasure, although there is an excellent pub close by if you don't wat to cook. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we are already planning to return next year.

We had a lovely weeks stay in this well presented delightful holiday home. It is perfect for 2 and ideal if you are looking for some peace and quiet. It’s only a short walk into the village. We were delighted with our stay at Thistle Dubh, which is situated just a few minutes by car from the centre of Drumnadrochit and The Loch Ness Visitor centre, and 5 minutes from Urquhart Castle. First impressions were that it was a very clean and extremely well thought out holiday home.....in fact it almost was a home from home. Everything that you could possibly want when staying away from home was provided here.....apart from a dishwasher! There was a lovely big wet room and the fairly large bedroom opened out onto a little decked garden....which we didn’t use due to the weather! We have never stayed in a place which had 2 single beds, but could see that a double bed wouldn’t have fitted in. Milk, tea, coffee and a welcome basket were all provided and there were also dvds, cds, books, and games. So much more was offered, but you’ll have to stay here to find out for yourselves! We would definitely recommend it.
