This makes a great base for exploring the area. Criccieth, with its castle, the Italianate village of Portmeirion and pretty Beddgelert are nearby. Visit Blaenau Ffestiniog, the adventure capital of North Wales, with the largest zip wire zone in the world, Bounce Below underground trampolining in a slate cavern, and the Stiniog downhill bike trails.
