A large barn conversion set in half an acre overlooking the estuary, sea and mountains, just 3 miles from the sandy beach at Fairbourne.. Ground Floor:

Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds Ensuite: Cubicle Shower, Toilet

First Floor:

Living room: Freeview TV, DVD Player, CD Player, Woodburner, Z-Bed (Flexible Sleeping Only)

Kitchen: Electric Range, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer. NSH electric heating, electricity, bed linen and towels and logs for wood burner included. Travel cot and highchair. Lawned ½-acre garden with patio and garden furniture. Private parking. No smoking.. Set peacefully within the glorious Snowdonia National Park, just 3 miles from Fairbourne’s sandy beach, and with direct access to the Mawddach Trail, this comfortable and spacious detached barn conversion with its own half-acre garden enjoys a beautiful setting overlooking the estuary with panoramic views of the sea and mountains. Sympathetically converted, it stands in 85 acres of woodland and sheep-farming land, which visitors are welcome to explore. With a bothy, camp fire site and fixed orienteering trail available on site. Walking, mountain bike trails, riding, golf and fishing locally. Sailing at Barmouth 12 miles. Shops 5 miles, pub 3 miles.

Fantastic hidden gem

Great place to forget about work.

Great place to forget about work. Kind of a dream location if you want to spend time with family or alone isolated from civilisation and at the same time few minutes driving from the seashore or lovely town. Wonderful location easy to find exactly as per guidelines. Beautiful views on high hills and sea. Absolutely recommend for any time of the year.

Beautiful Place

The cottage was wonderful! It was well stocked, clean, comfortable, and spacious. The views were fantastic! We really enjoyed our stay and hope to stay there again in the future! For some reason we never received the check in email and had some trouble getting a hold of the management company. The day we were to arrive, we finally got the information we needed. That was the only frustrating part of this stay. Everything else was wonderful. If you are looking for a wonderful secluded place to stay in Wales with spectacular views, this is it!

When sitting in cottage you have fantastic views of the surrounding countryside and distant coastal view. The best views we have ever had from a cottage.Really lovely cottage and well equipped with many fantastic walks nearby and lovely eateries.As someone with limited mobility I was able to manage the stairs but think you should make people aware there is not a pathway from the parking to the entrance door. I could only manage the grassy slope with help. We were told it was uneven ground - think should have been more specific. Doesn't distract from the fact that we loved this cottage.

Very homely and cosy cottage with fabulous views from the upstairs lounge and from the garden. Great walks straight from the door across the fields. We were fortunate with great weather for the a few days and we found some great places to have a picnic and enjoy the views. It was our 3rd visit to this cottage and I’m sure we’ll be back again. This lovely beautiful cottage sits in the mountainside.

This lovely beautiful cottage sits in the mountainside... It has a great view out of all of the windows and is not too far from fairbourn. Or the beach. It is a 15 min drive to the pony trail of cader idris. And a 25 minute drive to the other side for the minford path. A great place to flump down after a successful summit or a rained off body stopped half climb. Food wasn't too hard to come across if you wanted to eat out but as I'm not local, the nearest tesco is roughly 30 to 40 mins drive away. And the local shops close at a far more reasonable time than tesco. But hey you ask for a cottage in the middle of nowhere and that's what you get. The drive to the regular shop is a necessary evil for such a fantastic place to stay. Had a great dvd collection and we played chess with the provided games board and peices. We arrived in heavy rain and proper paving to the door would be useful as very muddy. No logs had been left for us. The garden was very secure for our Collie dog. We enjoyed walking through the grounds down to the Mawddach trail every day. The Cottage was clean and comfortable and well equipped, plenty of games and books. The log burner kept us lovely and warm in the evenings. Lovely peaceful setting and lovely views, hope to visit again as we love the area.

Isolated and peaceful but easy access up a narrow but firm private road. Position gave a feeling of remoteness without the usual trip into the unknown. An upside down house with the upstairs Lounge/diner /kitchen having good views from all windows particularly down the valley to the sea.

The Old Barn is a really good conversion to spacious and well planned accommodation.

The Old Barn is a really good conversion to spacious and well planned accommodation. Although the nearest town - Dolgellau - is about 5 miles away, the location makes up for this in terms of tranquillity and wonderful views, and a short walk across the fields to the beautiful riverside. If you like somewhere to get away from it all in a beautiful landscape, this is it.
